Actually, I am! Woo-hoo! But since my state is broke, it will take forever and a day by the time it comes. It was that way for Spirit Bound and I just finished it!
I just found out my best friend bought it, so we are going to do a swap. I get Spirit Bound when she is done reading it and I'll let her borrow my Hunger Games =-) I'm sooo excited!
I already ordered Mockingjay online. So excited for it to arrive in a little over a month! This is probably one of the best series I've read in a while. I kind of wish it was going to be longer than 3 books.
a movie! god, i hope so. i almost think it would be better as a tv show though cause theres alot to fit in there.
omg. check out this great fan made trailer for the hunger games. haha theres some twilight and harry potter clips mixed in but its really good!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPc5UI...
Brittany - awesome video clip above! I can't wait for this book to come out! I really like Peta and think he has loved Catniss for a long time. But on the other hand Gale loves her too I think and now he is starting to show it. They need to cast this movie well. LOL
I'll probably recieve my copy by the end of the month. Oh, well, just one more week. I think I can handle it, haha :D
4 more days!! My birthday is in two weeks and I asked for an early birthday present (: I bet you all can guess what it is.
Gosh. My thoughts are still a jumbled mess.To be honest, I think the ending was a bit too rushed. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but not entirely satisfying. Basically I wanted more. It was one of the things I'd been waiting for, except crammed in the last page. *sigh*
Other than that, I really liked Mockingjay.
Without going into spoiler detail - I wish the epilogue had been left out.Good book - it left me feeling a bit heavy at the end of course, but if it had been 100% happy, Collins wouldn't have stayed true to the series.
I can hardly wait to read it! My sister just ordered it so I will read it after she does....hopefully I will have it in my possession sometime next week :o)
It really wasn't that great. I was left wanting at the end, and just kind of sat back in dissapointment. Katniss's character was a let down, so was Peeta, and Gale. I didn't like the ending or epilogue. I really liked the first two books, but this one just didn't have the same feel or something.
Yeah me too I'm still torn if I love or hate the book. But I love that Katniss and Peeta ended up together, I'm Team Peeta from the first until the end of the series.
I totally agree with you Erica! It was quite good up until the last couple chapters, then I just felt like yelling at everyone for being stupid. Some of the decisions Katniss made really didn't seem like her at all.
Yeah! Melanie, it was totally like she wasn't herself
If y'all are looking for something similar,
is pretty close to the Hunger Games series. I haven't read it yet, but I plan on it after I finish the Mortal Instruments series.
It's not as good. I felt that it was a waste of my money!Mockingjay was GREAT! I loved the ending. Although I hate how Gale just left without saying anything. And without a fight! Grrrr!
I still haven't had a chance to read it. A friend suggested it to me, saying it was similar to the Hunger Games aaaaages ago.. what did you love/hate about it?
Well, I loved that it was about a girl being independent and going against society. I thought that the message was a little too strong. This main girl has a REALLY hard edge to her and doesn't really let anyone in. I would have liked to have seen a softer side to her. But that's just me. You could totally love the book. It's really nothing like the Hunger Games to be honest. At least not in my opinion.
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm i have this book it has been sitting on my shelf for a while it looks good but i have heard a lot of mixed reviews is it worth reading??
Yes. If you want to see what happens to Peeta and Katniss and Gale. And everything else. It's good. But I just kept wanting more of something.
I thought it was great! People want perfect happy ending to series but this give you a lot to think about and it gets really sad. I loved it so much because it wasn't perfect but you still felt for all the characters and the people who were fighting. It was a great series. One of my faves.
oh i know i loved Mockingjay!! i thought it was perfect i was glad that it didnt wrap up in a nice little bow it makes the story more realistic
