Hey all! I am looking for a great series or stand alone that is funny. I have been going through a whole bunch of craziness lately and just need a good laugh. To narrow this down I have read most of Katie MacAlister's books, the Jane Jameson series, the Broken Heart,OK series, the Queen Betsy series...so, what else is out there? Any suggestions?

I thought the Georgina Kincaid series was pretty light hearted, imo. I laughed a lot at the banter between the characters.
I love the Succubus series and it totally cracked me up in parts.
Right now I'm reading the Stephanie Plum Series (not PNR) but it's hella funny. I find myself laughing out loud all the time.
Janet Evanovich's stephanie plum series is hilarious!! I laugh out loud all the time reading these books, they are just so funny, and you can find them at the library, target, walmart, they are everywhere-
A co-worker was just telling me how wonderful Janet Evanovih is. I'm going to have to read that for July.
one's that ive read that fit in that category r the georgina kincaid series and jane jameson series.
Lynsay Sands books are great. They are a series, but I didn't read them in order. My favorite one was Accidental Vampire.
I would recommend Shelly Laurenston, her books are really funny. She has several series, the one I like the best is the Pride Series:

[bookcover:T..."I'll second the recommendation for Shelly Laurenston. She also writes as G.A. Aiken. All of her books are funny. Jennifer Cruise is also a writer with a sense of humor. Almost all of her stuff is contemporary, but she has a paranormal out with her writing partner called Wild Ride. I haven't read it, but it's gotten some good reviews. My favorite Crusie is Getting Rid of Bradley. There are quite a few contemporary romances that are good for a laugh.
Christine Warren's books are also quite funny. I quite like her Others series. If you like contemporary romance then I would also recommend Susan Elizabeth Phillips, her Chicago Stars books are funny as well.
Lol I keep thinking of all these series now : )
okay I LOVE funny books! so i have several suggestions, I also really loved Lynsay Sands books and I totally agree that Accidental vampire was one of the best but Janet Evanovich is one of my favorites and I have read everything by her. you might also try Vicki Lewis Thompson, she has a series about nerds which is pretty great, but her Hexed series is really outrageous and lighthearted the first book is Over Hexed. If you want some that aren't really just laugh out loud but still lighthearted and fun you might try Christie Ridgeway all of her books are pretty fun and fast reads, Also there is a book by Wendy Wax Called Leave it to Cleavage that is pretty great... oh and Also Charlotte Hughes Book called What looks like Crazy...Told you I had a bunch! good luck!

It was really good, but I have to say at the end of 2 I was pretty pisssed that I had to wait so long for 3. I wish I would have waited too. . .
Wow! Thanks everyone! You all have made several great suggestions that I look forward to reading (and laughing through!) Yay! Amazon.com here I come! =)
I'm in something of a PNR slump right now. I have the Laurenston books and Soulless (fabulous!), all of Jayne Castle's books, some of Queen Betsy (I gave up after book #4), and the BDB. I'm not a fan of UF particularly. I just bought The Hob's Bargain by Patricia Briggs and have read the first of her Alpha and Omega series (no desire at this time to read more). I'm also about a third of the way through Ilona Andrew's On the Edge. Any suggestions?
Out of that selection I would either read the Laurenston books, On The Edge or BDB. Infact scrap that I would jump into BDB!
Have you read the Arcane Society books by Jayne Ann Krentz/Amanda Quick (Jayne Castle)? She makes reference to this society in her Jayne Castle books.
Stacie, try the Chicagoland Vampires series. Those book read like you're talking to your best girlfriend. She's so witty.Sandra, which books have you liked?
I love, love, love anything by Krentz/Quick/Castle and have read them all. I've also read all the Laurenstons (except for Beast Behaving Badly which is for a July challenge), and all of the BDB. Now I'm looking for something else. I'm at a sticking point with On the Edge for some reason. I look at it and shrug and pick up a Linda Howard or a Jane Castle reread. I've also read a number of Nora Roberts' paranormals like the Key trilogy and enjoyed them. I'm definitely more PNR than UF.
I think I have a Kresley Cole in my TBR mountain. Sometimes I forget what the heck is in there till I attempt to clean it out. I'll have to dig through it to see. I know there's a Kenyon in there that I've tried to read three or four times. I've never gotten past the first 20 pages. Maybe I'll give that one more try, too, before I dump it at the UBS. Thanks for the suggestions!
