snowstorm or sandstorm?

message 1003: by Aikuchi (new)

Aikuchi Crying babies.
They will have to eventually sleep / eat. And mother are more often apologetic.

Personal experience has taught me that a fat old men sitting next to me on a 14 hour flight in economy, means having to deal with him shifting uncomfortably around and waking me up in the middle of several sleep cycles. And this is a more personal reason but are less apologetic when farting.

Sigh.

Maryam (maryamg) Kyra wrote: "CA weather. Since I live in CA, and have never actually experienced all four seasons of Washington weather, I'm playing it safe. XD

Photos or video?"

Photos. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words! A picture may capture a moment perfectly. A photo can mean anything to someone but a video is more direct and to the point!

Have someone break your heart or you break someone's heart?

message 1015: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Have someone break my heart. I don't have it in me to purposely hurt someone else I actually like, but I can ride out other people hurting me. Hypothetically.

message 1025: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Tough one. Home, I suppose. There's too many other annoying people moving round in a theater.

Hot dog or hamburger?

message 1026: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4483 comments Hamburger.
I like those more than the hot dog.

Would you choose in the theater a "guy film" (with all the mindless goings on) or a "girl flick?"

message 1027: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Probably a guy film. They make more sense to me than "chick flicks." For example: Trying to break into a vault to obtain top-secret information vs. getting a boyfriend for prom night. I mean, really, the priority is obvious. At least in my eyes.

This is why I like television shows; you can have the serious premise of conning bad guys or something alongside the romantic subplot without it all seeming stupid. A movie doesn't have space to engage the characters' entire lives without at least one aspect (the romance, usually, in guy films) looking a little stupid. Television shows can take their time with the romance plots while focusing on the primary plot.

Although, most shows just get stuck in an exasparating loop of "on again, off again" that makes me weep for the story writers who think that once the relationship is successful it stops being interesting.

Acoustic.

Burn Notice or Leverage?

message 1030: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments Oooh. That's a hard choice........Burn Notice.

message 1032: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (purplebookdragon) | 73 comments oooh. thats hard. iron chef is more about the cooking but recently i've been watching more master chef. so right now i think i'd go with masterchef.

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) Master Chef since it is the only one I've seen.

"Tangled" or "Beaty and the Beast"?

message 1034: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments "Tangled," easily. The moment when he cuts off her hair is one of my favoirte cinematic moments. Of course, then somehow her tears save him, which was dumb, but it's Disney. I would've just let him die.

Dean Koontz or Stephen King?

message 1035: by Christa VG (new)

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) If he had cut off that much hair all at once she would have simply fallen over, and would not have been able to get her balance back for at least an hour. Hair is heavey stuff.

Dean Koontz.

Ruch Limbaugh or Michael Savage

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments I don't listen to either. But my dad listens to both. So IDK XD

Nicole Kidman or Julianne Moore?

message 1043: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Oh, God! Julianne Moore. I think she’s one of the sexiest, most gorgeous women ever to walk the earth. Nicole Kidman’s not bad, though!

There’s no way for me to top that. Let’s see. Eye of the Beholder or Close Your Eyes?

message 1044: by Ajay (new)

Ajay (ajay_n) | 1138 comments Unfortunately, I haven't watched both of these movies, M. I might be wrong here, are these movies you are referring to? And yes, Julianne Moore is one of my favorites! Michelle Pfeiffer stands next in line.

Clint Eastwood or Morgan Freeman?

message 1045: by M (last edited Oct 09, 2012 05:00PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments Morgan Freeman. That was easy. Michelle Pfeiffer--uhm hmm! She still looks great and has that allure. I saw an article about her in a magazine four or five years ago, and her eyes looked at me from that photo, telling me, in the way only eyes can, how easily her blue jeans would slide right off of those hips and gorgeous legs.

Oh, where was I?

I watched Close Your Eyes because Moaning Myrtle is in it as a policewoman, and it turned out to be a hair-raiser!

Back to “Which One?”

An uninspired arrangement of a song you love, or an intriguing arrangement of a song you don’t particularly like?

message 1046: by Ajay (new)

Ajay (ajay_n) | 1138 comments Definitely the latter. Just recently faced up to this situation when I was listening to a Tamil song (my mother tongue). I loved how the newer version surprised me.

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4483 comments Eggs! For some reason I mostly hate bacon! It is in too much American food I guess.

Let's see... The Beatles or The Monkees?

message 1049: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4483 comments Bananas.

It's not you. I just have been going through some kind of writer's block thing and haven't been writing much lately.
