I don’t like sleeping in complete darkness, but I can’t sleep with the light on. We live in a very strange house that winds here and there, but you can walk through it at night without ever turning on a light because I have 4-watt nightlights strategically placed, like runway lights.

Which is scarier: waking up and not knowing where you are, or half waking up and thinking someone dead is standing beside the bed?

Dead people can be pretty scary. Lol. I think it's fun when you wake up and can't remember where you are. Although, that doesn't happen to me a lot...

Well, a beach house is a house by the beach. There’s no such thing as a beach house in the mountains--that would be a mountain cabin, even if it were built from plans identical to those of a house on a beach. I don’t know why I found that funny, but I sat there laughing, and the crickets were like an orchestra in the background and the frogs were like a chorus.
