Mickey Rooney. Did you know that the original Star Trek series was filmed at the old studios Lucille Ball owned? By then, Fred was too old to be cast as Captain Kirk.

Is that a real question? Don't they taste the same? Uhm. Green. I come from Irish people, so green must be a color I like.Whoppers or Atomic Fireballs?
D:^My face ever since school started this week. I should stop pushing off college apps, start revising for my current classes, and write more poetry!
College applications or job interviews?
Blue, but that makes me think of the French 3 colours movies so...Three Colours Blue or Three Colours Red. (Yikes! That's a tough one.)
or
The cookie monster or the grouch?
Depends. I'll take geometry (math) over biochemistry (science), but I'll take geology (science) over calculus. If you could go back in time for a few minutes, who would you rather have a conversation with: Humphrey Bogart or Marilyn Monroe?
I've never liked astrology, ever since I got a fortune-cookie message that said I had no ambition. Unfortunately, it was true.Pisces or Aquarius?
Neither. I agree with Wordsworth:Getting and sending mail, we lay waste our powers;
Little of what we send is really ours
But forwarded from somewhere else--a sordid boon!
Read for escape or read for an insight into human nature?
Aren't they both the same thing, really, in the end?Okay, human nature, even if, or perhaps especially via great fiction.
Little Red Riding Hood or Alice in Wonderland?
The Once and Forgotten King!Guy, I buy Laurence Perrine’s argument that fiction written merely to offer escape tends to have flat characters and stereotypical plots, whereas serious (what he calls “interpretive”) fiction, written to explore the human condition, may offer escape but isn’t written primarily for that purpose.
Pink Elephant’s “Venus” or Mason Williams’ “Classical Gas”?
I rarely have any idea what I'm talking about. If I talked only about things I know, I'd have to sit down and be quiet.I love seagulls and sandpipers. Can I pick both?
Tony Bennett's "The Shadow of Your Smile" or the version Vic Damone did?
M wrote: "The Once and Forgotten King!Guy, I buy Laurence Perrine’s argument that fiction written merely to offer escape tends to have flat characters and stereotypical plots, whereas serious (what he ca..."
M I agree with Perrine. Who is it that said most non-fiction is false and the best fiction true (to the human condition)?
(I've never watched Monty Python either...)Staples! If only to use as an excuse to fiddle with the staple-removing device.
Headphones or earphones?
Alex, you must have the most gorgeous profile photo on Goodreads! Everything about it is just stunning. When a page comes up, if that image is on it, my attention goes right to it. I'll bet it winds up in the most popular photos.Where was I? Stories. Stories, of course. Does anybody like to write essays?
I Love Lucy or The Twilight Zone?
Donald Duck.Wait a minute. Maybe I'm thinking of Daffy Duck. Who was Duck Dodgers in the 24th 1/2 century? I think that was Merrie Melodies.
Horror or psychological drama?
I guess bagpipes. Their sound makes me think more of Celtic music and Renaissance festivals.Flute or piano?
I've never had a smoothie, so I'll go with milkshakes (though I could probably do with fewer of them.)Which word: enchanting or eerie?
Independent. Clingy characters make me want to run (or put a book down and read something else).Beautiful and intelligent or beautiful and mysterious.
Celtic - Loreena McKennett rocks, especially when reading Shakespeare. And I love writing essays too, Al!
Macy Gray or Shakira?
Neither?! A tertium quid, no less. You didn't enjoy "Relating to a Psychopath?' Very fun. And the one she uses a gun to convince her man to love her was also funny.Hmmm. I was tempted to say 'Neither', too, but that's too strong, so my tertium quid is ambivalent.
This might be a tough one, but when I thought of Harrison Ford for some reason the dumb movie he did with Anne Heche popped into my head, which made me think of Heche in Ally McBeal. So...
Ally McBeal or Picket Fences?
The writing in both is about as good as American TV writing has ever been. One of the episodes of Picket Fences has a top 10 best ever written television episode ever. As for McBeal, again, the writing was brilliant. As a writer of dialog you may find that watching the writing efforts of David E. Kelley to be worth while.Okay, since I don't know Batmanuel, I'll pick Batman, but only the old comic book series sans Robin.
Betty or Veronica?
Al, what an amazing leap! Following the comic reference, I was of course referring to B&V of Archie fame. But your choice is MUCH better.Okay, not a fan of either. But I watched more of Elvis when I was a kid, and had enough fun then, so, Elvis.
Myrna Loy or Katherine Hepburn?
2D - I haven't seen a 3D that actually worked. But I haven't seen any of the recent movies...A Christmas Carol or It's A Wonderful Life?
James Dean! He just makes me think of Christopher Snow, a Dean Koontz character! Like, my all-time favorite one! :D
Orange.Bellatrix Lestrange or . . . well, nobody's like that.
Uhm, African Queen or Breakfast at Tiffany's?
Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my favorite movies! It's based on one of the most beautifully-written stories I've ever read.In general, I'd rather stay put than travel, but I like going on an adventure now and then.
A beach house or a mountain cabin?
I used to travel a lot--now that I'm "staying put" I've realized that I miss it. I even miss the usually dreadful international flights and runny airplane meals. Well, perhaps not that.Tap or bottled water?
Our tap water comes from deep wells, so it tastes fine, but I like Perrier water.Jessica, what countries have you been to? I've never been out of the U.S.
Sorry, Hannah. My service is so slow I answered #706 and got posted after #708.Pringles.
Barbecue or regular?
Al, you've never seen a mountain? I'm surrounded by them. I remember a visitor from the plains who couldn't get comfortable when he visited us: he felt hemmed in and claustrophobic. He felt that the mountains were looming over him. Both, but only when my wife makes them.
Baclava or creme caramel?
M- I've been to Indonesia, Singapore, Korea, England, France, Thailand, and China. I'm pretty sure layovers in Germany and Japan don't really count as "visits" but at least I've set foot, technically. Hawaii's not a different country, obviously, but I LOVED it there. Listing out these destinations makes me really want to hop on a plane again...I still haven't visited anywhere in S. America, Africa, or Australia! Someday, someday...Anyway...an egg sandwich sounds really good right about now.
Soreness of throat or congestion?
