Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Come on, everyone's played around Mad Libs at some point, right? Just fill in the blanks. :)

message 2: by Steph, Serious series addict (last edited Jun 21, 2010 01:57AM) (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I'm going with more than one word per blank. Feel free to do the same or follow the Mad Lib rules of one word per blank, up to you!

You know you've been overseas too long when driving on the left hand side of the road feels "right".

message 3: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Now that doesn't work from where I'm sitting...

You know you've been on the computer too long when you 'forget' to cook dinner.

message 4: by Laura Lulu (last edited Jun 18, 2010 10:27AM) (new)

Laura Lulu (lauralulu) | 1603 comments Sandra, I love your "forget". I also often "forget" while on the computer. In fact, it's 12:30pm right now and my daughter just came up to me and said "What time is lunch?" Oh, yeah, thanks for reminding me. :)

You know you've been reading too much paranormal when you hear the coyotes behind your house at night and you wonder if they're shifters.

message 5: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments lol, don't have coyotes but what about shifter wombats or wallabies, only they don't make much noise, more sneaky.

You know you've been corrupted when you can't wait to get home from a dinner with friends so you can finish that book.

message 6: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LMAO!! Ya'll are too funny!

You know you've gotta get a grip when you want to run to the upstairs unit (in your apt bldg) and tell off the parents for letting their kids bounce their FRICKIN' ball in the house!

Phew, I feel better now! **I will not hurt the kids, I will not hurt the kids** I feel like I'm living inside the Tell-Tale Heart or something! LOL!!

message 7: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Calm, take a deep breath, calm, key - soothing ocean sounds, calm, take a deep breath, calm!!

message 8: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Serenity Now! **channeling Seinfeld's dad** LOL! They are (thankfully for them) behaving today, so no murderous thoughts at the moment. LOL! Thanks for that, Sandra. :)

You know you've fallen in love with your new(2you) car when you make up reasons to drive somewhere, anywhere. :)

(Just got myself the cutest little '01 Diahatsu Mira Gino -like Japan's version of a Mini Cooper, but MUCH slower- and I love her!)

message 9: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments You know you've been on ebay too long when you start yelling at the computer because a seller wants 'how much' for books you know you can get for half that price on book depository!

Luckily I was alone :)

message 10: by Steph, Serious series addict (last edited Jun 23, 2010 11:04PM) (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL, Sandra. Sorry, but that was kinda funny, even though it sucks.

You know you've become a little too attached to the book you're reading when you carry it to the bathroom and continue reading it on the john!

message 11: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Oh, come on, nothin', anyone? Did I shock ya'll into silence with my TMI post? LOL! :D

message 12: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments No, Steph, it was just a quiet weekend, no yelling at the computer or the husband!

message 13: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl Symko (csymko) | 26 comments Steph-you did not shock me into silence. I have done the same thing before with reading in the bathroom before...LOL

You know you've watched the show True Blood and read the Southern Vampire Series too many times when you know you have fantasies of being with Eric Northman and have dreams about him and you being together!! Now that might be TMI!

message 14: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL Sandra! That's good news though, yah? :)

No, not TMI, Cheryl. TMI would've been if you had provided us with details of your dreams. LOL! I'm sure you're not alone in that one, though.

message 15: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments Y'all crack me up...since I've been know to vacuum, answer the door, and tidy up (as well as take a trip to the bathroom) while reading a book, I can't really point fingers!

You know you've become a little too addicted to the computer when you turn it on before making coffee...turn PC on, put on the coffee, and start checking messages, etc while waiting the coffee to finish.

message 16: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL Judithe! Just substitute coffee for a frosty can of Coke and I'm busted! I've never liked coffee, so I get my caffeine from soda. My dentist loves me for it. LOL!

You know you've grown dependent upon GoodReads when you never log out ... it's the first place you stop in the morning and the last place you stop in the evening.

Of course, I choose to see it as growing friendships, growing interests, growing my book shelves and expanding my ExHD instead of "dependent upon" ... that's just such an ugly word. LMAO!!!

message 17: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments Ditto! Haven't come up with a new one yet...but just had to say I agree, but have a fear it will lead to a growing waistline as well as I'd rather read than stroll...and strolling while reading would lead to tripping and pain....

message 18: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments No Judithe, reading while walking works fine for me, just gotta be careful where you do it. Used to get off the bus coming home from work and just kept reading. LOL. Always got bagged for doing that.

message 19: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL! Audiobooks are good for reading & walking. Although that doesn't help much in regards to catchin' up here @ GR.

message 20: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments So true but I was walking & reading before Audiobooks. Just gotta watch out for cars. lol.

message 21: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL, yes please!

message 22: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments Cars and rivers....dog poop and other miscellaneous things. Jeez...walking is out. Does 20 minutes of jogging equal 40 minutes of walking?

message 23: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL Judithe!

message 24: by Steph, Serious series addict (last edited Jul 22, 2010 10:56PM) (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments You know you've got to invest in group security when your hard word has been stolen by GR's resident copy-cat thief.

And YES, it was HARD coming up with a MaD LiB game. LOL! Hey, I gotta find the humor in there somewhere! :\

message 25: by Aske (last edited Jul 23, 2010 09:03AM) (new)

Aske | 119 comments Oh man, this is really funny! :D I guess I'll give it a shoot then...

You know you've got a serious addiction to books and something might be wrong with you when you take days off of work and stay up night after night just to finish a series of books

message 26: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Agreed, Aske. That's an addiction, no doubt! :)

You know you've got great GR group members when you look forward to seeing what's up with everyone first thing each day.

message 27: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments LOL! I don't have a new one, but soooo agree with you, Steph!

message 28: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Me too, me too!

message 29: by Steph, Serious series addict (last edited Jul 25, 2010 11:13PM) (new)
