I think nearly all the PinC stories are in the Josh Lanyon collections, though, so those are probably a better value.

Just 10 minutes ago finished Blood Heat. What a fast and fun ride. It's safe to say that Taylor and Will are officially my favorites. It was the "conversation" about high school that did it, I think. Or maybe Will's incredulity in the next to last scene. Either way, I'm very eagerly looking forward to DG4. So...can we get that rolling, please, Josh. *g* Thanks again for these two. Love 'em!

I keep saying I love Taylor, but Will is pretty much perfect.
Do readers have favorites? I see those two as sort of two parts of one whole. I don't know that either is interesting without the other.
Then again there's NJ who prefers David Bradley to either Will or Taylor and keeps wanting me to write him his own book!

He's the naval officer Will almost had an affair with in Old Poison.
I just finished Don't Look Back I really loved the dynamics of these characters. I almost thought Griffin was playing Peter in the end. Will we have more on these two? I'd like to see Peter move on to a better job and forget all of Cole's craziness. Though I think that Cole will still probably be on him through the phone and mail and that sort of thing.

Taylor tips the scale a bit for me. He is unguarded and has so much happen to him that it tugs my heart strings - well that's assuming I have a heart ;o)

I think for a while there Griffin wanted to believe he was playing Peter, but the fact was, he still hadn't gotten over him no matter how much he wanted to believe he had.
Yes, you're right about Cole probably continuing to try and play on Peter's sympathy and guilt. But it won't be easy getting past Griffin.

Fair Play. But I'm not longer sure that I'll do it for next year. I think I may just stick to a really light, really easy schedule. It's in my planner but I've got a question mark by it.

Do you just make notes to come back to or do you have to write it out? Would that just make it easier to write when the time comes, or would you write the book and put it away?

Taylor is quick-thinking and impulsive. It's in keeping with Taylor's character to walk into the fist before Will catches up to him.
I agree that Taylor and Will are Yin and Yang. Taylor's a city boy, Will likes the outdoors. Taylor is impulsive, Will is more deliberate. Taylor is more emotional, but he is becoming like a magnet to Will, slowly, but surely drawing out Will's emotional responses. If the 2 men survive Will's duty in Paris, I can see them becoming very hard to separate from each other in time.

I think that pretty well sums up their relationship, and I think it's one reason Will originally -- and maybe still to some extent -- fought his attraction to Taylor. Falling in love with someone like Taylor just naturally feels--felt--precarious to Will. But at the same time, Taylor is just about irresistable to him.

Recently, there have been lots of new books released by some of my favorite authors (or upcoming releases) and I'm so busy at work, it's actually helpful to get the new book release notices. You and Harper and the new Petit Morts are hard to keep track of!
I like getting the notices, but I suspect that I don't as many invites as you do, Josh.
I get so much stuff it's hard to sort, so I just ignore them. I check my favs everyday so I don't miss much. But I wish there was a way to turn off the event thing sometimes.
I just ignore them too. I watch most of the m/m publisher websites for upcoming releases, so I'm usually aware of when an author I like has a book coming out. Though that's one complaint I have about Loose Id and MLR-- Loose Id doesn't list dates for upcoming releases and MLR's dates always seem to be way off.I also follow Jason's Author News thread on GR, so that keeps me informed of any new releases I might have missed.
I like the reminders, if I've been busy I don't check the discussions etc too carefully, so a reminder is useful. Its only the work of a second to delete stuff I'm not interested in and I pick up things that I wouldn't have seen otherwise.
There are events? LOL, nah, I know what they are. Just don't pay much attention to them.

Speaking only for myself, I think announcing here in Q&A and on your blog is a good head's up.
I'd be more likely to send out a basic announcement through newsletter subscribers than using GR events, simply because not all of your fans may be active at GR so you stand to snag a bigger audience for the work involved. JMO, tho.

It's true that each of these groups has a different composite of readers (although a few of you gluttens for punishment are everywhere). I keep trying to find ways to simplify, but so far that doesn't seem to be happening.

Is it mostly anno..."Honestly, I've never gotten one from an author I like. It's usually someone who I get the impression friends everyone on goodreads as a PR tool, which I find to be a turnoff.
But that said, if I were to get one from an author I like, I think I would find it useful. Sometimes new releases can slip through the cracks, so reminders can be a good thing.
ETA: just saw your other question (serves me right not reading to the end of the thread), and yes, you do a rather good job of letting us know of releases. *g*
