Fangirl Musings (fangirlmusings) I hate that you ended up missing out on her chat. But I'm sure they'll be more that will be hosted :).

I had thought about "attending," but I figured since I got most of my questions answered this year last Saturday, I'd give other fans a chance. I'm random like that :).

Debra | 7 comments Welcome Colette,
I love all things PNR and UF to. I started out with Twilight to and have been reading every book I can get my hands on! Have you tried the Black Dagger Brotherhood? I you haven't check them out! They are really awesome to.

Debra | 7 comments Welcome Kristina!!
I love all things PNR to.

message 108: by Teryl (new)

Teryl I've been posting recently so, I thought I should introduce myself. I started reading DH series about 2 years ago. Not sure which DH is my favorite. I guess Kyrian because he was my first, lol Nick was annoying a bunch, but after reading Infinity he is starting to grow on me.

message 109: by Fangirl Musings (new)

Fangirl Musings (fangirlmusings) Aw, you weren't an immediate Nick fan? Meh, as I (always) say, to each their own. I personally have always adored Nick, even though he's being a butt right now. But he's always fascinated me even when he's frustrating the crap out of me, LOL.

message 110: by Teryl (new)

Teryl I guess I liked him, but didn't love him like some do. I definately love his sarcasm. I feel so bad for adult Nick right now, so many changes for him, although he is misplacing his anger on Ash if you ask me.

message 111: by Tara (new)

Tara | 142 comments Welcome, officially, Teryl. It's been nice chatting with you this week! :)

message 112: by Fangirl Musings (new)

Fangirl Musings (fangirlmusings) Hm, well, everyone's got their own favorites. I personally adore Nick, but that's just me :).

Oh, indeed! Adult Nick is just between a rock and a hard place, I swear! I just pray he won't go total "dark side" and/or end up killing/trying to kill Ash.

Oh, no doubt! Sherri has admitted in many interviews that Nick is definitely misplacing his anger, and, after reading No Mercy, I think Nick knows he is, too. (Spoilers for those who haven't read No Mercy - DON'T READ AHEAD IF YOU'VE NOT READ THE BOOK!!!!!!!!!)

After all, he noted that he even hates Dev since he let Cherise walk out that evening with the possessed Dark-Hunter - He admits that he hates anyone who had any hand whatsoever in the night Cherise died. I think that, saying as much, he knows that's irrational. But like Sherri says, when you're so torn up with grief, you lash out, even when you know it's wrong but you just can't help it.

I think you are exactly right and Nick just needs time to get over his anger and get his head back on straight.

message 114: by Fangirl Musings (new)

Fangirl Musings (fangirlmusings) Exactly, Lacy!

*Crosses fingers* But I just HOPE he does. Ye gods, can you imagine if Sherri decides to make him go complete dark-side?! Yikes that'd be sad!

But, even still, I admit that I sometimes love the baddies. After all, Stryker is a man after my own heart, LOL.

Lacy♪ ♫Movements of a Demigod ♪ ♫ (lb3553) | 7 comments If Nick does go to the dark side then I may have just have to switch sides myself. After all most of the bad guys did get a bad deal to begin with so you can see why they turned out that way.

message 116: by Fangirl Musings (new)

Fangirl Musings (fangirlmusings) Very good point, Lacy! I mean, heck, Stryker got the ultimate shafted end of the deal of any other Daimon, which is why I don't hate him at all. He just frustrates me, LOL...but I could never hate him :).

Lacy♪ ♫Movements of a Demigod ♪ ♫ (lb3553) | 7 comments You also have to remember that Stryker is a guy and they all fustrate us at some point in time and have a tendence to act before thinking.

message 118: by Fangirl Musings (new)

Fangirl Musings (fangirlmusings) LMAO Good point, Lacy! Male mentalities don't lend themselves to pre-thought! :)

message 119: by Bethany (new)

Bethany I didn't like Stryker at first but after reading his book I really did. He just seemed to really get a bad deal out of life, what with his dad cursing him to die at 27 because of something he had no part in, so you can't really blame him for making the decisions he made (well, I can't).

I used to like Nick but since he became all bitter and stuff after his mum died I haven't so much. I hope he gets better soon. I haven't read No Mercy yet, I have to book and it's on my to-read list I just haven't gotten around to it yet!!!

Since DH is a long series not everyone that joins is in the same place, and we don't want to spoil it for someone else or cheat them out of the fun discovering on their own!

Thanks!

Amanda Hi, I'm Amanda & I have recently started on the Dark Hunter series. Really enjoying them & my favorite book is Acheron. I'm from BC, Canada :)

Maebhe | 7 comments heya, Im Yvaine, and im from Aontroim in Ireland. ive been a Kenyon addict for years now and have read all the dark hunter, league & macgregor novels i could get.... ie nearly all of them :) its fab to find fellow addicts:) and im struggling to decide between Nick and Zarek :s for my fav....its too hard!

message 124: by Mary (new)

Mary Hi Amanda & Yvaine welcome.

Hey Yvaine is it true that there are no snakes in Ireland. Sorry random question.

Out of Nick and Zarek, I really liked Zarek in the begining but he become a little arrogant towards the end. As for Nick I think his story is yet to fully unfold.

message 125: by Maebhe (new)

Maebhe | 7 comments lol :) no worries, no we dont have any snakes, sure St.Patrick scared them all away:)

I no Zarek did change alot but i still love "pyscho-ass" lol but i do think im edging towards Nick more and more as his story comes out, but still need more :)

message 126: by Mary (new)

Mary Maybe you can send St Patrick to Australia to get rid of the poisonous snakes and spiders, we have so many of them its ridiculous. You wouldn't catch me camping out in the bush you just don't know what could bite you on the bum. He he!

Have you read the entire series of books? I think my favourite would have to be Acheron and Valerius. There are so many funny moments in the Valerius book. Simi I really like as she is a crack up!

message 127: by Maebhe (new)

Maebhe | 7 comments lol too true :) my aunt lives in NZ and she keeps asking me over but fear of the spiders alone is freaking me out, ewww hebbie jeebies :( and aussies got to be worse, u are a brave woman to live there :)

Yea all but dragonswan, cause i cant seem to find it over here, but all the rest, absolutely love them. Valerius is cool and i love his attitude throughout :)loved ash's too, read his in a day, near killed me lol, simi's appearances are always fab, she's jus crazy.....but in a good way, and she gets to hang around with ash all day, wat a life! lol
Nick i love jus cause of the way he acts and precieves things and he has some of the best quotes ever esp. in infinity lol

message 128: by Mary (new)

Mary You make me laugh its not so bad with the creepie crawlies. Being in a city you just have to be mineful there are some pockets where there could be snakes especially in summer as they come out for some sun. But the outback is a different story.

I really liked Nick in the beginning, with his oneliners but once he went to the dark side with Stryker, I'm not really sure how I feel about his character. I do feel sorry for him but he has to understand Acheron's position as well. Sometimes life is hard and we just have to move forward. It will be interesting to see how his character evolves. You would think we are talking about real people here. I haven't read dragonswan we didn't end up buying it. Is that 3 stories in one book? Have you tried ordering it via depository online. We order all our books via this company, free delivery as well as that is a good thing for us aussies when you take the distance into account and sometimes the delivery costs more than the books.

If you do read it let me know what you think. If it is worth while buying the book.

Nice chatting to you.

cheers

I agree Mary - begone snakes - they cause too much havoc and I hate having to look in my shoes all the time. Never mind getting bitten on the bum.

message 130: by Mary (new)

Mary Oh Sharon! you make me laugh. Don't worry, I always check the bed before I get into it, incase any white tails are crawling around. That's probably why we sleep with one eye open and come to work wrecked.

Do you think there will be heaps of snakes in Rye this year? They say if you have lizards around the house they keep the snakes away. I hope there isn't any possums this year. God they make alot of noise at night. Little buggers. OK I better get of the Zoology topic. People will be thinking what the?

Yes we best to leave our thoughts on the Acro characters to that sight.

Jessica Hey:) my name's Jessica and my aunt got me started on the SK books almost two years ago. I've now read almost every book out by her I just love them. They're my absolute favorite series and I can't wait to get my hands on No Mercy.

message 135: by Mary (new)

Mary Yvaine the Acro books are fabulous! Although I would recommend your over the age of 19 at least. Oh My Lord! They are hot and sexy books with to die for characters. If you ever get a chance have a read. I didn't quite take to the first book but the second book and onwards get really good. My favourite characters in the book are Creed and Annika. Creed is super hot! piercings, tatts, long hair. Some of the scenes will make your eyeballs pop, but they are an easy quick read. Larissa Ione's Demonica Series are really good books as well. Not for the faint hearted.
Cheers
Enjoy! Let me know what you think.

Diane (dianejan3) Hi I'm Diane, I'm totally new to the Dark Hunter world. I've read Night Embrace, Dream Chaser, Devil May Cry and Acheron.

Can't wait to get my hands on all of the books in the Dark-Hunter series.

My favorite characters are Acheron (of course), Simi and, as unpopular as it may be, Artemis.

She gets worse? Dayuuum. I'm not sure I can hate her. I tried in Acheron.

Hmmm...I shall come back here and tell you if I ever start hating her for good. I hate her in moments but never anything permanent. XD

Nikki ~Kharma~ (nikki_kharma) Hey Everyone!!!
Im Nikki and new to GR. Ive added my comment to "My First SK book"...it was Acheron. Ive been reading SK since early last year. Ive only been reading (like a crackhead) for almost 3 years. I love her writing. I have read all the DH Series (including the WH & DH). Ive read the first two in the League. Im trying to branch off into another series since I am finally upto date on all the series im reading - kinda...hehe. I love paranormal romace and im so excited to have found GR where I can actually talk about all the books ive read without ppl looking at me like im crazy and talk about fantasy too much (this includes my husband, my mom and all my friends who I have TRIED to get to read any of them...the only one that i was actually able to get some of my friends to read was the Twilight Saga. Dont get me wrong...I love it, but it is nothing in comparisson to the world SK has created with the DH series.....ok, i rambling....so I guess just "HI!!!" :D

Oh and I totally agree with those of you who said books were your crack...book are definatly my most addicting habbit...:D

message 145: by Mary (new)

Mary Hey Nikki,

Welcome to the group. Don't feel like your rambling about PNR books. My friend Sharon (Simi) and myself are exactly the same, we debrief every day on the books we read. It helps that we work in the same area. Trust me others at work think we have lost the plot. We talk about these characters like they are real people. What the?
Others books you might like to try if you haven't already read that are great: JR Ward Black Dagger Brothers, Gena Showalter: Lord of the Underworld, when they first placed the acronym for this I thought they were discussing yoga positions (LOTU). Had a slow brain day that day, got there in the end. Joey W. Hill: Vamipre Mistress is good but it is a little more darker and a little more erotica but the story line is great, there is some BDSM but the way she writes it is very sensual and not disgusting. Although the first to books may take some adjusting. You can chat to myself anytime about any books you like.
Cheers
MS

YBTW you might want to try Sydney Croft; ACRO books as well.

Banks Vampire Huntress...ive got to get the last 3 books to see how the story ends. Thank you for the suggestions, im always looking for another series/world to get pulled into :D

Welcome!

Avid Reader Amy's Reviews (avidreadamysreviews) Hi, my name is Amy and I am from North Carolina. A cashier at Barnes and Noble recommended the Dark Hunter series to me and after reading Fantasy Lover I have been hooked. I also love the League series too. I even got my 17 year old nephew reading DH by reading the comic books and Nicks series. I am hoping for a Savitar book though.
