Game Suggestion And Question Thread

If anyone has an idea for a game or challenge, this would be the place to put your suggestion. I have created one under a separate topic I came up with. Discussion regarding rules or ideas to iron about a particular topic can also be discussed here or questions may be asked.

People are also free to introduce an idea through making up a new topic of their own. Just be sure the rules are as clear as possible, although questions may also be addressed under that topic instead of here.

I don't seem to be getting a big response from the identify the book game, although I will keep it going for awhile to see if it catches on. And I also would like to thank Alyssa for participating and keeping the game going. Thanks Alyssa.

I have another idea that I got from a website that might be a little more fun. (Actually, I have to confess I get most of my ideas from other groups - I have to give credit where credit is due).

I was thinking about a trivia game. I would post the 1st trivia question, with a 3 day possible answer period. If a response or correct answer is not found within that time period, then I would, (or the poster would,) ask a different question, or possibly give a hint. I'm open to opinions on that particular point.

Also, the poster would let the person know when they have the correct answer. The person answering would get the points; (still wondering if the points are even worth doing). Opinions on that are welcome also.

I would just ask that the questions not be something that was too generic that could supply different answers, although it might be interesting to see what some people would come up with that way. Perhaps that should be another game instead, such as discussing parallels in some of the books and have people commenting on their favorites. Another possible idea for a topic, although this one would does not necessarily have to be a game.

I like the trivia game idea! I'm a huge trivia buff and love a challeange so I'm more than game :)

I like the idea of that one also. I saw that on a J.D. Robb fan site. I'll be checking it out ASAP for some help with some of the rules, and hopefully can get those and the game up this weekend.

I'm still thinking about that angle. Perhaps it would be ok for people to use the internet. On some of the trivia games I've seen, it's against the rules, but in this case it might be an option. I have to think about it some more. If you or anyone else has an opinion on the internet option, please let me know.

I don't have a problem with participants using the internet...as Shazzy pointed out, she doesn't have most of her books and I'm sure there are other members who may not have them either. There also may be some members who haven't read a particular book that may want to particpate, I think this will help even the playing field. That's just my $.02 though, lol

Dee, under the game heading, it is the 6th topic. You have to hit the 5 of 6 topics tab on the 1st page.
