J.R. | 374 comments If you like Westerns, mark your calendar. Sundown Press will publish The Tithing Herd on Tuesday, July 25.
Lute Donnelly, a former lawman, is on the trail of bandits who murdered his brother and cost him his job when his quest is interrupted by compassion for Tom Baskin, a young man falsely accused of rustling.
Donnelly's mission is interrupted again when Serene McCullough, the widow he loves, begs him to help her son move the herd cash-strapped Mormons have gathered as their church tithe.
Lute's desire for vengeance is replaced by another more important goal when the bandits kidnap Serene and hold her ransom for the cattle, pitting him and Tom against dangerous odds in a desperate quest to save the woman he loves.

Ronald Paxton | 599 comments Danger can lurk in the most unlikely places. When John "Cowboy" Howard inherits a vast sum of money from an old friend, those he thought he could trust turn on him, and telling friend from foe becomes a matter of life and death.

When the guns start firing and friends start falling, it's up to Howard to protect himself and his family. Will he make it out alive or will it all end in Tears at Sunrise...?
