Thanks a lot. ..."

I finally managed to translate the song about "Samad" and his book:

To the Pioneer of Freedom
In the timeless cold winter night of our era
To Samad whose warm blood has molded the red flowers floating on the Araz
Who revealed a way that became the road for every river
To Samad whose teachings and books go from house to house.
The Little Black Fish, in pursuit of the path
With a heart filled with fire, a soul filled with flames
On his way to defeat the enemy and open the path for others to follow.
To Samad whose name is spoken by all fishes in all rivers leading to the sea
Your stories are the path to Freedom
Revealing pain, manifesting labor,
The Little Black Fish, in pursuit of the path to Freedom and Justice.

Helena Schrader | 104 comments Forgive me for bragging, but "Knight of Jerusalem" AND "St. Louis' Knight" are both Finalists for the 2014 Chaucer Award for Historical Fiction. This is very exciting news, and wonderful validation of my decades long search for writing excellence.

For "St. Louis' Knight," this represents the third award, after the book earned the "Bronze" in both Historical Fiction and Spiritual/Religious Fiction in the Feathered Quill Book Awards earlier this year.

Thank you all for your encouragement and support over the years!

Zaed, Sophie's American-born friend, kneels at a party to retrieve a glittering ring from the floor. Before anyone can comment, Natasha, Sophie's cousin, is shrieking 'yes, yes, I accept' to a bewildered Zaed. It's all a cosmic mistake, but things get out of hand rapidly as Zaed's father, an old friend of Natasha's father, bribes Zaed to accept Natasha's expectations and wed her. But then, Zaed and Sophie fall in love. And the huge, elaborate wedding between Zaed and Natasha, a wedding that will join two powerful families, is next week.

HBK | 2 comments Greetings to everyone,

I'm hoping things will begin picking up for me in the near future as I'm somewhat on borrowed time - but then aren't we all?

I really see a whole lot of books that just beg to be read and in time I'll be able to if or when finances come around to a much better point.

Above the two books I have currently on amazon ( under HBK ), I also began a website to help authors reach readers and to bring readers to authors through bookreader.uphero.com While it is just getting started, proper funding will help take things to a whole new level.

I look forward to reading many books in the future.

This came out last week. Kind of a Gothic thing that will make you think about nature and its power.

Here's the blurb: Rocky gets a cryptic warning from Hector, his best friend, yet agrees to search for Auntie Moya, who lives in a mysterious canyon where local Indians are afraid to enter. Helping Hector takes Rocky into a web of danger with a strange woman who nurse’s wild creatures back to health and whose weird desires could permanently end Rocky’s search.

Paul (paullev) | 24 comments Just published on Kindle - my 1998 Sturgeon-nominated novelette, The Orchard.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WNHVDOK/r...

In the 22nd century, humans have discovered numerous planets teeming with life, but none with human-level intelligence. Teams of exo-biologists have been dispatched to the most promising places. The fifth planet of the Beta Hydri system has a patch of trees that bear delicious fruit. Will it kill the exo-biologists before they can prove that the orchard was deliberately planted - a sure sign of intelligent life - and get the news back to Earth?

"Paul Levinson adds a new wrinkle to the ages old search for intelligent life in the universe in 'The Orchard' ... shows us that the subtlest remnants of a civilization might be its most revealing legacy." - SF Site
