Jason S. | 1 comments Howdy,

Rick suggested I come here and say hello and spread the word. I'm the author of the Spar Battersea Thrillers (DEATH MATCH, CON JOB, and DICE ROLL) as well as the anti-TWILIGHT vampire novel BLOOD AND SAWDUST.

Rick was kind enough to review both DEATH MATCH (a punk rock thriller set in the world of pro wrestling) and BLOOD AND SAWDUST, both of which he really enjoyed. (you can see them here, http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/..., and here http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...).

If Rick's reviews hit a nerve, please feel free to either check out my work on Amazon (all my ebooks are crazy cheap: http://www.amazon.com/Jason-Ridler/e/...)

But if times are tough, I do send review copies. Send me a message via GR or check out my FB fan page. http://www.facebook.com/Ridlerville

Cheers!

Brief Bio:

My popular non-fiction has appeared in Clarkesworld, Dark Scribe, and the Internet Review of Science Fiction. Richard Vickers | 3 comments Before you head for the hills on 21st December head over to Amazon and grab yourself a free e-copy of Woodlife. http://www.amazon.com/Woodlife-ebook/...

To celebrate the old Celtic winter solstice - a time of rebirth, and the day on which most of the action in Woodlife unfolds - I'm giving everyone the chance to download a copy for nothing. Why? Well, there's no point in selling them if I won't be around to spend the proceeds, is there.

Have a great Christmas and happy New Year.

J.R. | 374 comments Sometimes on long winter nights when sleep was slow in coming, those cold nights when the outside was filled with familiar sounds of cracking ice and thrashing tree limbs and the wind shaking the house and, inside, still more familiar noises as the house answered back with creaks and groans, then the old man lay awake in his cold bed and fed on memories such as this. Sometimes the memories gave him pain; more often they solaced him.

Neil Ostroff (httpgoodreadscomneil_ostroff) | 271 comments Here I go! I just spent the most ever on a huge promotion blitz for SILENT INVASION and DROP OUT (my two best sellers). I did it through blogads.com. I’ve read other posts about the effectiveness of such ads and most said that author’s sales increased because of them. I booked on nine different sites with a combined reach of 312,000 avid readers. These are people who actively read the blogs. My ads will feature the cover, a blurb, and the link to buy the book. The blitz will run on all sites simultaneously for an entire two weeks beginning on December 26th and running through the New Year into January. My logic is that people will be getting ereaders (it’s the #1 gift this year) at Christmas and then will have time off through the holiday to peruse various reader and book sites. At the same time, my newest novel debuts on Amazon and B&N, and I’ll be promoting that one like a rabid beast. If there’s a recipe for going viral I think I have all the ingredients. It’s just a matter of how much time it takes to cook.

Wendilyn Emrys, M.A. (wendilynemrys) | 15 comments Greetings and a Happy Holiday Season to you all! We just published a one act play in honour of the season -- "The Man In The Red Suit". Please have a look if you are interested. We will be having a Goodreads Giveaway, and should have the Kindle version up in a day or so.

The Man In The Red Suit
A Devilishly Dark Comedy In One Act by Jonathan Emrys

Some may call it "A Christmas Carol" for the new Millennium... but depending on what you believe; “The Man In The Red Suit” could very well scare the dickens out of you.

It is Christmas Eve, the worst Christmas Eve of Perry Roussel's life. He thinks things are bad now, but when a truly mysterious stranger shows up unexpectedly, Perry finds himself believing that his whole world is going to Hell in a hand basket...

“The Man In The Red Suit” is a play about life, love, faith, sacrifice, and what really matters in the end.

************

A visit from a familiar stranger in a large red suit results in a heated metaphysical and spiritual debate which could cost the lives of one man’s family.

Mixed with generous portions of dark humor, this play takes several twists and turns to reveal an unexpected ending, with a metamorphosis of both Perry (the angry husband and father) and the Man in the Red Suit (the uninvited interloper).

How does mortality influence the minds of men and women? How does the loss of loved ones affect the way we see ourselves and our futures? How can we be so sure that it’s over? And why should we? The Man in the Red Suit is an exploration of self and the universe, a search for meaning, a search for life, death, and the afterlife . . . or the next life. It is about the pursuit of truth and hope. The discovery of belief in something, wrapped up with a ribbon and a bow, and presented neatly in an elegant Red Suit.

CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE . . . and a Claus.

The Man In The Red Suit The Man In The Red Suit by Jonathan Emrys

Richard Parise | 104 comments New release, Hemingway House by RJ Parise (comical fiction) Takes place in the late 70's. Kindle $2.99

My name is Richard Raymonds. I was a resident of Hemingway House, a halfway home for the "mentally challenged" for nine years. I was admitted in nineteen seventy-five after spending my twenties in a much worse place. During my stay, I took notes of the comings and goings, successes and failures of the myriad of residents that passed through. Most everything written here is true, although colored by time. All names have been slightly altered to protect the innocent from the guilty.

Only one week left before the coupon expires.

The synopsis for Conjoined Souls:

Samantha (Sam) Brennan and Alexandra (Alex) McNulty were conjoined twins in a past life and identical twins separated at birth in this life. For ninety years, their souls had remained tethered to one another.

Days before Sam’s twentieth birthday (as well as Alex’s), Sam had ended up in a coma after becoming collateral damage of an attack on a Seattle judge.

Three years and a few months later, Alex—now a rookie police officer from Saint Louis, Missouri—gets lured into a home while being off duty and smothered by something that had a strange odor.

Sam wakes up from her coma while struggling to breath, and after realizing that she was safe in a Seattle hospital, she proclaims that she is Officer Alexandra McNulty of the Saint Louis Police Department.

As Sam’s adopted mother Pamela (Pam) Brennan attempts to convince Sam/Alex that she was Sam by showing her photos of Sam’s high school graduation and of Sam’s graduation party, Sam/Alex correctly figures out that she (while believing that she is Alex) and Sam were identical twins separated at birth, and then made a request for Pam to look up her Facebook page.

Once Pam became convinced that Sam/Alex was Alex in Sam’s body, Pam had helped Sam/Alex to get to Saint Louis so that Sam/Alex could figure out who had attacked her.

It is showing up on Amazon, on the primary page, but we still have to wait for it to migrate to the 'Look Inside' and the Kindle. You can have a peek at it here: http://www.amazon.com/Scarecrows-DAND...

The old cover is still showing on Goodreads. I will have to look to see how to get the new cover to show up.

A new look for the New Year!

Okay, Goodreads does not let you put the new covers up, but the Librarian's FAQ says to add them to your additional photos. I have done so, if you would like to see the new cover, please go to the main SADW book page and click on the cover, it will bring up a page to show you both. Thanks Fellow Members. Deb (soulhaven) | 9 comments Hi anyone who happens to stop by...

My debut novel, Healer's Touch, is due to for release at the end of the month, by Kristell Ink publishing.

I'm a debut author, not overly new - I've been playing at it a few years, and I've been hangning around GR awhile now.

Anyway, my novel is a fantasy tale, with homages to steampunk/weird west. The MC is a girl with the power to transfer life energy between people/animals/plants, etc... Basicallyl, she can heal, but must kill in order to do so. This book begins to explore that power and the problems that could come with it.

I am currently working on book 2 of a planned trilogy. The next book will explore the world further, expanding on what I've begun in the first book... and digging darker, I think.

Free ebook ARCs are already available through my publisher, if you blog/review, email: contact@kristell-ink.com
