It means that the culture of corruption that built the Big 12 now destroyed it.
'Bout time the NCAA did a better job of punishing college programs for their infractions. USC's been one of the most corrupt programs, even before Pete Carroll showed up. I'll bet he's breathing a big sigh of relief knowing he split before the hammer fell on USC...even if he was primarily responsible. Fuckhead.

It will be interesting to see how this shakes out. Rumors have it that five more teams (Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma & Oklahoma State may all head to the Pac 10, and Missouri may head to the Big 10. Not sure where that would leave Kansas, Kansas State, Baylor & Iowa State. Sounds like the Big 10 may then go out east and try to get Pittsburgh, Rutgers and maybe West Virginia. Of course they want Notre Dame too. They are trying to go to super conferences similar to what the SEC has right now.

I also heard Colorado is headed to the Pac 10 and the Big 12 is going to break up and everyone's hustling for conference realignment.
What does all this mean?
Also, I'm glad USC got their ass nailed to the wall with sanctions, but I wish Peter Carroll got in trouble. I hate that guy.
