Key trilogy
That series took me a bit too. I think I had to read the first few chapters 2x to get the gist of it. It became one of top favs for trilogies and I have since read it 2x, which made more since the second time around :)
Yeah, that one was a little hard to get at first, I had to keep referring back to the first couple of chapters to keep everything straight. But I really like this series for all the mythology in it. BTW, if you're a fan of this series, you might want to look at Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. Also based in mythology, and she writes great romance scenes!
I have this series. Now you all have my curious so I'll have to bump it up in the tbr pile. :)
I enjoyed this series, even though it is paranormal, I did appreciate the balance, of how good vs. evil.
I really didn't like the series after the first book, wasn't a fan of it. The other two were good, I liked the last book the most cuz she was my favorite character.
Oh I loved the key trilogy. I read all 3 books in a weekend because I had to keep reading!
Just reading Key of Knowledge...loved the way she breaks down the intricacies of Jordan and Dana's relationship...the graveside conversation bought me to tears!
Just wrapped up this series...loved all three h/h relationships with Dana/Jordan being my favorites...just couldn't get into the storyline about the keys though...so it helped that the friendships/dialog/romance was good with all three couples.
PS...the male/female friendships reminded me of the Pagan Stone trilogy
I just finished this series the other day. Although it's not my favorite trilogy I thought it was good. I think I enjoyed the first and the last book the most, with the last one being my favorite because I loved Brad the most out of all of the men.The second book was definitely not the best. I really didn't like the female character Dana, and Jordan really annoyed me. Sometimes Roberts can pull off having her male characters be that cocky and obnoxious and the character is still likable, but I don't think Jordan was really endearing to me. Just annoying.
I was so excited to get the key trilogy I even went to the city in a big city ( I like podunk, OH) I bought it I read it and yes it is hard to get into and it is ok, but nothing like my favorite trilogy's of Nora Roberts like the jewel Triology is Awesome, born triology, and the three sister Trilogy, Those are my favorites.
My fave is Key of Knowledge- I really identified with Dana. Having piles of books to be read and categorizing books as breakfast books or bath books is something I do constantly. Does anyone else do this or am I mad? Or bringing 3 books in your bag in case you're in the mood? I thought NR could have made Jordan suffer more before getting back with Dana!
I saw them online an I HAD to have them I rushed to the near city to buy them. I was a lil dissapointed it was not what I was expecting, it took a lil to get into. I enjoyed the books but she so many others that are my favorites :) Cathy I liked your comment on how you categorize your books.

Thanks Tamara nice to know I'm not (that) crazy! Dana is definitely one of my favourite NR characters.Amar I didn't enjoy the pagan stone trilogy as much as Key- the story is definitely more paranormal than NR is usually. The characters are also quite similar to those in the Key trilogy
I liked this trilogy, can't say it's one of my fav's but it was pretty good! Have to say the last one was definitely my fav too! I'm with Jess, Brad was my favorite character....
Wouldn't it be great if NR did a later book with Simon McCourt? I always wonder what he would turn out like. Kind of like in Chesapeake when she did the Seth book?
I am so enviouse of you all and happy to be here. I so often read her books and they all kind of blnd of in. I need to write what the book was about and the characters and keep it in file. by chance is there a way to on here to write your own personal thoughts on a book and not have it posted, I would not want to give out spoilers.

sounds like a good suggestion to me lol even though I have no idea waht book these characters are in. (can you please tell so I can read it?)
Simon is the little boy in the "Key" series and Seth is the young tween or teen in the "Chesapeake" series...Seth's story is "Chesapeake Blue"; kind of a wrap up where Seth is all grown up and takes control of his own life.
Oh that would be awesome. Simon in the future. How great!!I would also love to hear more about those Chesapeake families. Like she did with the Stanislaski family, extend it to the children and see how they all turned out!!

I just finished reading the Key trilogy again. I really enjoyed these books for the second time. Nora's books are always an escape from reality for me and these definitely do that!

I am keeping all my books and hoping to collect the rest that I do not have. so I can read them over. Sometimes I buy, new, or yard sales and end up with duplicate books. Our library here in town only has a few of her books so I donate them to the library. They are popular so I am hoping it helps out. Not sure about your libraries but ours has take so many cut backs.

Honestly, I just started using our library as I just got back into reading again after so many years. Ours got a major donation some years back and they actually built a new library, it's gorgeous and they have a shop where they sell used books too.

I am using the library a lot more then I used too. I used to buy all my books. But I do want to get all the Nora Roberts books and J.D Robb
Nora Roberts is one of the about a dozen authors that I "keep". I would like to keep more but my puter room is only so big. If I read a book and it "floors" me, it's a keeper! Regardless of the author. :D

Plastic tubs and boxes, that was me for a long time! I finally bought myself a really nice book shelf, just for me *doesn't happen often* so now my hard covers have a home.I told my mom about the NR books I was reading now and she said she's got a bunch and has decided she's going to start keeping them too. That made me smile.
I'm reading the Born In series now, and on the last book.
I enjoy Nora Roberts books as well, she is one author that I keep as well. The Key Trilogy was good, not my favorite but still kept my interest to re-read it. :)
I am enjoying it, but the more trilogies I read the more I am aware of her "formula". Has any one else noticed this? When I am looking for nice light/fun reading I still really enjoy her books even though they are getting pretty predictable.
I agree with Amar above...the characters/romances/plot structure VERY similiiar to Pagan Stone.
Just reread this series, sigh...loved all the couple, although Dana and Jordan are still my faves!
haha dana and jordan were my favorites too. I own tis whole trilkogy its really passionate and sexxy i love all of them.
I loved this trilogy and the development of the characters throughout. I also liked the fantasy angle, as I prefer her books that have the multiple levels.

Does anyone else d..."I know exactly what you mean. I can relate to having piles of books on my table and in my room, most being Nora Roberts. This book was also my favorite. I also just love how in every story and series she writes, how she describes, not really the right word but it works, the male characters. Jordan was my favorite in all three so far, then brad.
I loved Jordan and Dana too...have read this series several times just for to see J & D again!

I did at first, but once I got used to her style I realized that seemingly boring intro is her way of character building. Now that I know that, it doesn't both me at all. I realize going in that she's going to let me meet the characters first, problem second.

Yes, I don't know if she does that in all her books, but the first book in the Circle Trilogy was definitely like that as well. It does make sense in the first book of trilogies because most of the background work needs to be done there.
I have only read
and I would love to find and read the first two. I hate reading books out of order but sometimes I have no choice.
