Coming in September, based on The Capture. The trailer looks so amazing, I'm getting the book today! Has anyone read it?

This book is starting off slowwwww. And, I've officially put it on hold b/c with the release of the Deathly Hallows trailer I have to reread it. But, the Guardians trailer doesn't look like it's close to the plot of the book (although I'm not sure what that'll be yet).

Brenda | 19 comments Hmm may need to read this one. The trailer did look really good but agree that it probably does not follow the book.

Well I'm wondering if the movie's plot wasn't taken from the first two or three books?

Brenda | 19 comments Finished the first book. I think Jillian is right it must be about more than book 1.

Ugh. That book is haunting me. It's sitting there collecting dust and I'm just inching through it. I'm reading Hunger Games right now and it's good. I have to force myself to pick up Guardians and read a few pages. The movie trailers look too damn good for me to give it up!

Brenda | 19 comments I'm curious to hear your thoughts when you finish the book. The trailers do look really good so I will probably see the movie as well.

Wow. So did anyone else see this film?

Fantastic.

The problem is, I was 80 pages into the book and still unsure of the plot and only introduced to a few vital characters. The movie did all that in ten minutes and it was a much needed improvement.

The animation was insane and the 3D was beautifully done and actually added to the film. Great job.

The story was really good, classic good vs. evil, little owl with a big heart, believe in your dreams.

:)

Brenda | 19 comments The movie sure did draw things together rather quickly. I enjoyed the animation and 3D it really was well done. The end reminded me some of Star Wars for some reason. So does the movie cover the first three books? I may want to pick up the books and continue on. People seem to really like the series and perhaps it was just the slow start of the books that made me want to abandon it.

Brenda, don't quote me but I felt like the movie covered the entire series of books.

Brenda | 19 comments Jillian, I sort of got that same feeling after watching the movie. I had hoped to continue with the series but may wait a bit. My to read list is getting a little long :)
