Shameless Self Promotion- PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING
I just started a new blog today, I'm excited about it! I can't wait to start networking with the multitude of book bloggers out there and start posting reviews and such. Anyway, feel free to check me out :)http://theallureofbooks.blogspot.com
oh, and everyone knows the wonderful JG, correct? I will promote for her, while I'm at it.Her blog can be found at:
http://theintrovertedreader.blogspot....
Well since we're promoting..here is the The Book Vine Blog:http://bookviners.blogspot.com/
Started by a couple of friends on GR- Becky, Heather, Allison, Fiona, Jon, Laura, Rachel, Emilee and myself.
Being the follower that I am, I started a blog too... LOL It's EscapismThroughBooks.blogspot.com. Feel free to come take a look! :)
I will have to check out all these blogs! Mine is http://www.bippityboppitybook.blogspo... and I am also a permanent reviewer for www.theroyalreviews.blogspot.com
Okay, I will be shameless and promote my book, Tulagi Hotel, here. This is the blurb:"World War II has given Jack McGuire the chance to escape the confines of the Midwest and the family farm. An ace U.S. Marine fighter pilot, he risks his life each day with his squadron in the South Pacific theatre. For him, there’s calm and camaraderie up there in the cockpit. But when the war ends, Jack struggles to find his place in civilian society.
Turning his back on his home, family and inheritance, he returns to the Solomon Islands. Here he builds a hotel on the same island paradise he flew over in his years of combat, and settles down to a relaxed lifestyle in the sun.
But when Kay Wheeler, the widow of his wartime best friend and wingman, comes to visit the island, Jack’s orderly world is disrupted. He is forced to consider whether there’s room enough for two in his reinvented life."
And it has a website with all the relevant info, at http://www.tulagihotel.com
See you at the Pacific Paradise!
Hi Heikki,In case you missed Allison's paragraph: Feel free to promote your website/blog/whatever in this thread (as in, don't start tons of new threads that flood the group) as long as you are an active member. The GR community is excellent at supporting their own, but we want you to be an active member of the group before we're supposed to care about what you're promoting :)
Your above post is your first post, so I'm sorry to inform you are not considered an active member. Active membership meaning posting relevant replies to people's comments in the various threads we have here. Consider this a warning before promoting your book again. Sorry if I come off as harsh, but you are the second author this morning that is not considered active who I saw promoting their book. You can't see his shameless plug/thread since I
Thank you,
J
I somehow knew I was stepping out of line here, but as soon as I come back from holidays, I'll first work up a presence and post that plug. Sorry for any and all harm caused.
Heikki
No harm at all Heikki :) At least you didn't do like the other guy and make a whole thread for yourself :P
oh.. ive just stumbled into this thread I hadnt noticed before.. so hey..I may as well promote my blogette too. Its still working itself out, part book blog, part travel as im about to embark on a 3 month trip, bits of photography and music posts too. Well I joined the blog band wagon. It's really new, but here it goes: www.thecraftyreader.blogspot.com . I will have some promotional things coming up, so stay tuned. :-)
I too have just started a blog (today, in fact). At the moment there's only an introduction there, but my first book review should be up this evening.http://oldenglishrose.dmi.me.uk/
I am so thrilled with the latest review of Crestmont, which, if I had a blog would be on it, but for now you can read it on Amazon.

Thank you! www.hollyweiss.com
Not sure if anyone here would be interested, but I'm hosting Smut-tember Fest for anyone who likes romance, erotica and just generally smutty reads...clean romance also qualifies. You can check out it out on my blog:http://thecraftyreader.blogspot.com/2...
Also, Becky is hosting a Read-a-thon Challenge this weekend on her blog: http://escapismthroughbooks.blogspot.... . Basically, the challenge gives you an excuse to shove everything to the side (including your family) and read until your eyeballs give out. :-)
Allison (or another mod): What if one of our blogs has a link to our book in it? Will that send us to the funeral pyre?

LOL No... We'll spare you in that case! :P
The Guillotine is only for those naughty spammers who don't otherwise participate here and want to just use the group for their own personal advertising service.

I've got a crazy series challenge going on over there. It's quite rediculous really. I haven't figured out the Mr. Linky thing yet, but I'm working on it.

You need to put a link here, Jennbunny, when you have it tip top!!I was thinking it was my lack of computer savvy that couldn't make this thread work and it appeared to have stopped on Oct., 27. But it looks like that is exactly what happened!!
I want to say how very talented those of you are who have created your own blogs!!
Becky, Heather, Allison, Fiona, Jon, Laura, Rachel, Emilee and Jackie. http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/48...
Now I need a little time to read "THE BLOGS" HA
Hi everyone,I've really enjoyed being a member of this group so far! I think that some of you have already seen that I'm a writer or taken a look at my novel? If not, I thought this is the right place to tell you about it.
My novel is an historical thriller called The Marlowe Conspiracy. It's set in 1593 Elizabethan England and based around the dramatic life and mysterious death of Christopher Marlowe.
With his life on the line and the clock ticking, playwright/spy Christopher Marlowe teams-up with William Shakespeare to uncover a high-level government conspiracy.
It's published as both an eBook and paperback.
I also have a website, if you'd like to take a look:
http://www.mgscarsbrook.com
Historical novels set in the Tudor period with male central characters are not so common, so I thought you might be interested to hear about it...
Anyway, thanks for reading this!
I invite you all to join me in a Q & A to discuss Crestmont
The group is open to anyone and runs from Dec. 5 - 22.
Here is the link. Hope to see you there!

I was really surprised and happy to find Mistress of Rome nominated in the Historical Fiction category for Goodreads Choice read of 2010. I'm also proud my friend Johanna Moran got nominated for her The Wives of Henry Oades. I'd love to win, but I'd be happy for her to get it as well - W of HO was great! Voting for all categories here:

Hi,
Would cheekily like to promote my own novel set in the early days of the Napoleonic Wars. An Agent of the King is only available as an eBook as yet.
