I agree with iamrite. It sounds just like Desert Prince, Bride of Innocence by Lynne Graham.

Dreg | 6 comments An old harlequin/shilhoutte published in the 90's/80's.The hero and heroine meet during a vacation and fall in love. After their night together heroine disappears as she feels guilty(she's already married)FF a few months, the hero goes to visit his father and is shocked to find that the heroine is his stepmother. Cant remember much after that.During the end the hero goes to apologise to the heroine (the father is dead by now i think)and finds her in arms of OM who is a friend of the heroine and is therefore consoling the now pregnant heroine. Seeing the OM protective gesture(has his hands on the heroine abdomen)hero realises its probably too late as the heroine is already pregnant with the OM 's child and returns brokenhearted..That's all I remember🙄

Charlie | 1 comments Hi everyone! I'd love your help! I've been trying to find this book I read years ago - H and h marry because she's pregnant and they're super in love - but after the baby comes he pushes her away and they become estranged because it turns out the H has a disease and he's afraid that he'll pass it on to their kids or her, but she thinks he's lost interest for her. In the end they get back together after their child somehow got in danger.

Min | 2 comments Hi! I am looking for a three books I read a while back:

1. The h and H are out for dinner in the first scene. And the h simply walks out on the H when he tells her she is just his mistress or something like that. He runs into her later or finds her and discovers she was pregnant. I think it is a typical billionaire - mistress saga other than the memorable opening scene.

2. The H and h get married. But the h doesn’t seem to be in the marriage full. I think they are married but not sure. The H is mad about the h for sure. Turns out, the h is in love with her sister’s fiancé/ husband. In a scene, the H finds the h pining over her lost love from a window. And that’s how he finds out why she doesn’t give a crap about him! This one is an oldie probably. Is quite like the Secret Obsession from Lamb.

3. The couple meet and fall in love. Then the H, who is quite rich, hears the h’s father comment something about how great it is that she has hooked a rich guy. He dumps her. Years later, the h is hanging out/ dating the H’s cousin or nephew. I recall the H is called Daniel? this is most likely a 90’s book. Was one of the first romance I read! Been looking for it since!

I think #1 sounds like (the Greek and the Single Mom).An Heir for the Millionaire: The Greek and the Single Mom / The Millionaire's Contract Bride The first scene though was the h working in a lounge bar and running into the H, several years after the restaurant scene so it might not be the one you are looking for. It is a favorite of mine!

Min | 2 comments Thanks Nana. That does sound like it. I might be wrong about the opening scene being the restaurant one. Will check out The Greek and the Single Mom.

sari janatuinen | 3 comments [SOLVED (Another time by Susan Napier)] Can anybody help me to find this book? It was published probably at least 20 years ago. Hero and heroine meet originally in Hong Kong or maybe Singapore. The hero is cynical and world weary war correspondent. The heroine is ill with leukemia(?) and wants to experience before the heavy treatments and, and she ask him to spend the night together. In the morning she is gone. After a couple of years they meet again in Australia, where the heroine is about to marry his brother. She doesn't actively remember the incident in Hong Kong, but her subconscious remembers.

sari janatuinen | 3 comments [solved) The Golden Touch by Laura London - 80's book about a rock/pop star/singer who travels through a small town and stops by a small business where the heroine fixes broken musical instruments. At first, she doesn't recognize the hero. They fall in love, but it is not easy for a small-town girl to adjust to the rock star's way of life.

Mimilikestoreadandwrite | 25 comments Hello, everyone. I already posted my question on another group but didn't get any answer so I hope somebody here could help me.
I read the book around 2002. It's about a woman who reviews hotels for a job and she takes it really seriously, going undercover even wearing disguises. So she has to go review a new hotel, the problem is, she had a one night stand with the hotel's director a few years ago. So she tries to stay in disguise the whole time. She has at least two elaborate disguises: one is of an old lady and the other is of a young woman but she wears a brown wig and contacts. She meets the hero a few times wearing the disguises and he gets a crush on her in the brown wig. They go golfing and sand gets in one of her contacts and he sees one of her eyes' real color. The end happens in a boat and this time the hero is the one wearing a disguise.

Adrienne | 8 comments Need help finding a HP. I don't remember a lot about it but here is what I do remember...

1. I know there are 2 sisters and each are get their own books. I believe the younger sisters book was first in the series.
2. I'm looking for the older sisters book.
3. Sisters were horribly abused by their father when they were growing up.
4. The older sister dealt with the abuse with drugs. When her book started she was a recovering drug addict.
5. Hero knew the heroine when she was still doing drugs. I don't think he knew at the time that the heroine was a drug addict (they may have recently met). I think they were in a nightclub and he somehow was caught with her drugs on him. Was eventually able to get charges dropped but it affected his business so he hates the heroine.
6. I remember through the book they were hiking through the jungle and he finds out more about the heroines past.
7. Heroine gets very sick. I don't remember is she ate something or was stung or bitten by something but it was bad.

That's all I really remember. Any ideas?

She was Afraid she would hit her daughter like her mother hit her. Anyway the hero discovered her ten years later and you can imagine was not pleased. They worked on relationship he found out why she left and her love for him and their daughter. It was very emotional. She was a dressmaker or fashion designer. Does anyone know this please?

Mimilikestoreadandwrite | 25 comments Hello, I'm looking for a Harlequin Presents book. The heroine is depressed (I don't remember why) and is living in an appartment that she never leaves. She spends her days inside, chainsmoking cigarettes. The hero meets her when he goes knocking on her door and sees that she's obviously going through a hard time. There is mention of her lackluster appearance and she's out of shape. I don't recall how, but they start working out together, primary running. He kindly coax her into leading a better lifestyle.
Thanks for your help!

Poorvi | 302 comments Okay, So I have 3 books I want to ask about…

1. The hero marries the heroine’s step sister / cousin / best friends something. That’s how they first meet. She’s a bridesmaid that the wedding. Sparks fly, but the marriage still happens and heroine goes her own way. They meet again when the hero sees her at a strip club somewhere and initially thinks she’s a stripper with a child. Turns out the child was her roommate's, and the heroine was just baby sitting. The wife is now dead. The hero asks the heroine to come stay with him for a while as part of a bequest the wife left for the heroine. In the end there's this scene where the heroine dreams of the dead wife sailing off in a boat, happy that the hero and heroine are now together

2. The heroine goes to meet the hero to talk to him about her sister who is pregnant, and is stating the father is the hero's soon to be BIL, who has previously had a reputation as a playboy, but has supposedly mended his ways since he met the hero's sister. The hero's had reservations but the dude seems to make his sister happy. The sister is emotionally or physically fragile and hearing that the fiance may have cheated on her could cause her a major set back. Turns out the baby daddy was actually the hero's older brother and the confusion occurred because of a name mix-up.

3. The heroine gets pregnant by the hero via a one night stand, but for a change, while she's willing to have the child, she does not want to keep it, and is willing to give up full custody to the hero post delivery, and is staying with the hero for the duration of the pregnancy. Turns out this due to some trauma she has owing to the fact that her foster sister has a debilitating genetic disease.

Tmstprc | 12 comments Asking for another reader/group...

Looking for an older Harlequin set in Australia. Hero is a rich station owner in the Outback. They have a fight, she runs away and works for an author. The author brings her back to the Outback to research a book, hero’s station. The hero now hates her and treats her badly—the reader remembers there’s a scene where she goes swimming at “their secret place” and the hero has had it relandscaped.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

E P (erpat) | 2 comments Hi, so I don't remember the names of the protagonists but here's the plot.
Hero's wife cheats on him with heroine's husband, they divorce their respective partners. Hero has a daughter, retains custody of her, heroine has a son, same thing happens. Both the exes go on a plane trip and crash (and die). The hero's father-in-law is a film producer and in his grief, tries to get custody of the hero's daughter. So the hero (name starts with J I think) proposes a marriage of convenience, and offers to pay for the heroine's son's schooling and other things. Note that the children go to school together. When the father-in-law comes to dinner, the heroine sticks up for herself and the hero, and makes him realise his mistake and apologise.
Would be great if someone could help with this, I can't remember the author or the title, sadly

Hi I too remember this one, but the names of the protagonists eludes me too. I can add a few more details.
The Heroine is a cook / chef forced to work double duty or hold down two jobs.
The Hero’s daughter goes to the same school as the Heroine’s son and inadvertently draws her father’s attention to the fact that the heroine is struggling to make ends meet.
On the day the hero visits the heroine’s house, he actually inspects her kitchen cabinets and finds them bare of food. He then confronts the heroine about the lack of food. The heroine defensively replies that she had made lamb chops for tea. To which the Hero makes a mention of the fact though that her garbage bin attests to the fact that she had made lamb chops, it didn’t indicate that it was enough for two people!,
Though the Hero and the Heroine had custody of their respective children, the children are acquainted with each other not only because they go to the same school, but also because their visits to the other parents would coincide.
Towards the end, the grandfather has a change of heart and decides not to pursue for custody.

I hope this helps in jogging someone’s memory.

Cathy Williams has lots of boss/secretary books. The other one you've been looking for rings a bell, maybe not the right book, though. h was caught in rain and used H boss's bathroom to dry off, H arrived back in office and saw her through gap in open door. I recall another one where h, H's PA was getting dressed for a business dinner attending with H. She was bending over putting stockings on or something, similar to one above, H boss saw her through gap in door. My guess would be Lynne Graham, Cathy Williams or Penny Jordan.
