I don't think so. I don't know if she gets pregnant and wouldn't that be a first in an HP. The h was very buttoned up about her sexuality and her body as she saw her mother's relationship as too avaricious; it's not until later that she realizes that her mother just wanted someone to love her. The H is shocked, pleasantly shocked, when he finds out who her mother was.

There is a scene when she's at dinner with the H and an evil wannabe tries to embarrass the h by speaking French and the h responds fluent French. She feels grateful to her mother for giving her a pretty cosmopolitan growing up. She also likes expensive lingerie.

At the end of the book, the couple bring the mother to live at the villa where she can be at peace with the nature.

How can I remember all that and not remember which Greek or Italian tycoon stalked her.

Wendy Kalthoff (wkalthoff) | 5 comments I am looking for a certain author. It is set in a small community and the heroine is a ranchwomen mandy who finds out she has a secret sister summer who she just met. The hero Derek falls in love with the heroine mandy and he is an injured hockey player who has had to give up the sport and he gets used to ranch life despite his fathers protest and wants him to leave. there is a younger brother in the series as well, who is always telling himself that he is no good. I really would love to know the name of the author and the series.
thanks

Funnily enough I'm reading that at the moment. I like reading collections by author usually starting with current and going backwards which in the case of SK, always an issue because she will usually mention couple from previous book in next one.

SK loves her Greek heroes who always have black eyes (no such thing). Heroes who call their heroines -my beauty- just like they're talking to a horse! Biggest concern of all being The Forbidden Innocent where the hero loves the heroines skin so much he wants to make a shirt out of it! Fava beans and a nice chianti with that?

In The Virgin's Secret by Abby Green, her father gives her a black eye. Do you mean modern or historical?

In Roccanti's Marriage Revenge by Lynne Graham, Zara's father or step father whacks her across the face.

I was wondering if anyone knows if the nice, not quite other man, David ever got his own story. He was such an interesting character that I was hoping that he got his own book. I would love to read his story if Carole Mortimer ever wrote a book featuring this character.

Thanks, Boogenhagen! You are truly the HP guru. It's too bad that this book doesn't have a kindle version available. Can you tell me if it's worth going to the trouble of tracking down a used paperback, or if I should just wait for the ebook to be published at some future date? :-)

Boogenhagen, thanks for suggesting Open Library. It never occurred to me to look for it there. I might give it a try, but your lack of enthusiasm makes me think that I probably won't care for it very much. That's a real pity, because I really liked David in To Love Again.

Rosalba González | 20 comments Happy Friday!

I'm looking for a Presents Harlequin. The story plot as I remember it is that it was about a one night stand. The heroine gets pregnant, she tells him and asks for financial assistance, he refuses. He then goes to his attorney, who tries to get her to sign an agreement. Anyway, the heroine eventually moves to an apt unit in the Hero's building (which he owns) and begins pressuring her to marry him. The baby is born during Christmas time and she finally agrees to marry him.

PLEASE get me out of my misery and help me with the title of this neat story.

Many, MANY, Thanks!

How old do you think this book is?

Any idea which country it's set in? Do you recall anything else about the characters?

Boogenhagen - it's not the bag lady book is it? I don't have my Kindle with me and can't search. She wouldn't marry him till just near the end and she made/sold funky handbags.
Don't worry, got my Kindle back. I was thinking of The Greek Tycoon's Convenient Mistress by LG - but I don't think it's that one now. Wasn't a one night stand. One Night, So Pregnant! by Heidi Rice also a one night stand book but he gets a house for her to live in so probably not it. Undone by Her Tender Touch / More Than Perfect from Maya Banks has contracts but I don't recall the apartment/unit - he buys her a shop. I'll go slither back under my rock now ;)

Chamen | 8 comments The H's a sheikh who was forced to marry a rebellious princess but because of her history ( she was thought to love being in the public doing indecent things when in fact she was framed up by her aunt-I'm not really sure.) the H decided to go undercober and checked the princess for himself thinking of ways for the h to back out from this arrangement. However, he realized that someone's after the h and that she is loyal (although she didn't want to be married off as well she never slept with the H who assumed a position as a guard or something)

He finally decided to flew her to his kingdom and married her.

I remember there was this big disaster at the end where the h was almost killed when she volunteered to help the H's people.

Thanks for those who can help me find this book.

One scene I remember towards the end is that he gets excited about the baby after a Drs. visit and buys all the nursery stuff without her input. The book I'm looking for is very, very similar to "One Night, So Pregnant" except that I think the one night stand was out of comfort--her comforting him. I think he rejects her at the end of that night--which is the main reason why she won't marry him. She does go to him to share that she is pregnant, she's a teacher and needs financial assistance because she won't be able to teach. He goes to his attorney who gets both main characters in the room where they bicker, the attorney is a really good friend that got the hero out of trouble. He goes to her apartment and basically moves her to a unit in his building where he lives in the Penthouse. She gives birth around Christmas time and that's when she relents to marry the Hero.

I have looked and looked--through google images etc. but I can't seem to hit the key word to find this book. any help is greatly appreciated!

I am out of ideas. It sounds familiar probably because there are lots of "one night stand" pregnant books. Only other one I can think of is One Night, One Baby by Kate Hardy. I really enjoyed it but don't think she's a teacher. Hero, Mitch is a storm chaser.

Se Mcgregor | 550 comments It's not A Debt Paid in Passion by Dani Collins is it? That was a one night stand but they knew each other. She worked for him. Not a teacher, a translator/transcriber. She buys a unit in Sydney and he buys the penthouse above her. Book set all over the place, London, NY, LA, France & Sydney. Lots of legal stuff between his and her lawyers throughout the book. I think Dani Collins is Canadian (Boogenhagen thought maybe Canadian?) If not this one maybe one of her other books.
