Fanniny Moreno Zavaleta | 99 comments Hello, I'm looking for a book where the h's sister and her husband can't have children so they ask the h to surrogate. But at the clinic there's a mix up and the h ends up being pregnant by another man (the H).

[The next part I'm not sure if it's true or my mind is playing tricks]
The confusion is with the H's name being Patrick Ryan and the h's brother in law is Ryan Patric or the other way.

This looks like it? You were right about the name mix-up. Sister and husband are Beth and Patrick. H is called Ryan.
More Than a Millionaire

Mr. September: Ryan Patrick, millionaire daddy-to-be
Baby?: Yes...to secure his inheritance
Marriage?: No...only surrogates need apply

A mix-up at the clinic meant the wrong woman was pregnant! Ryan would do anything to reclaim what was his. Particularly since delectable airline heiress Nicole Hightower wasn't about to just hand over her child. Was there a way he could have both...without making promises he could never keep?

Rose Alice | 102 comments Hey guys :) Looking for a hp story. All I remember from the book are Heroine has another sister ;an evil one, Hero and heroine are married due to circumstances most probably taking some burden of her evil sister who conveniently comes back when problems are solved & tries to seduce Hero and lastly...almost at the end of the book Hero and that evil sister (since i don't remember the character's name i am calling her that :P ) are in his office - hero thinks, since there is no love in marriage,i don't see why i can't fool around with my WIFE'S SISTER and maybe...well divorce her and marry the sister...BUT when things get a lot scandalous heroine opens the door with a happy mood, but seeing the scene infront of her...runs. . Hero on the other hand after seeing the look on heroine's face,he realizes that he loves her.
Please help me to find this book :)

Pam | 258 comments I would like to read a book again but do not remember the title.
Please help me locate it again,
Plot- there is a CEO or business tycooon type. Heroine is his PA or secretary something like that. She dresses nice like business person would. And she has really long beautiful hair that she is proud of. She begins traveling with him or helping him more. he complains about the way she dresses. so he changes her wardrobe. The heroine is eagar to please the boss, keep her dream job and she allows him to buy the clothes. (I think the clothes make her feel uncomfortable like the style). One time when complaining about how she looks, he critizes her hair. She then goes, has it cut and styled. He comments she looks professiona now, not like a young girl. however this ends up upsetting her because she has become something she is not. of course she says nothing then she either leaves to go home or she visits her home. But he follows When he sees her family he can not stand what he has done to her especailly the hair (all sisters and mother have long flowing hair).

It's Dallas Schulze - The Substitute Wife

When Luke Quintain's fiancee dumped him, Catherine Lang understood immediately that she was the perfect solution to his problem. Leggy, flame haired and wise beyond her years, she decided that he should marry her instead.

But even though Luke needed a wife by his thirty-sixth birthday or he would lose his inheritance, he had to say "No!" Well, that was what he tried to say, but somehow Cat left with a ring on her finger and a wedding date on her calendar. And Luke could only curse his grandfather's positively medieval blackmailing scheme...and count the seconds till the wedding night.

Cat, of course, knows her own mind -- and her own heart -- and she wants Luke. Meanwhile, Luke is wondering how long this will play out, and hoping that it might be a little longer with each passing day. The problem is, he's quite capable of doing something very stupid -- like falling for Cat.

Because sometimes love just doesn't take no for an answer.

message 2128: by Taps (last edited Jun 21, 2016 02:57PM) (new)

Taps | 2 comments I can't remember much about this book except that it was a Mills & Boon novel published sometime in the late 1980s or early 1990s and had a blue cover --
h was a school teacher and taught the H's daughter/niece -- something happened and the daughter/niece ran away and h and H go in search for her. Over the course of the journey, they fall in love and H discovers that h is a survivor of sexual assault. HEA involved him coming to her school while she's giving a geography test to her students and providing the answer - the Pyrenees - thus proving that she was also thinking about him because they had been traveling in the Pyrenees in search of his daughter/niece.
I can't believe this very specific detail is what I remember, but so it is - and any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Kathyroban | 2 comments I don't think this book is a harlequin but it reminded me of Shattered dreams and crazy old harlequins . It was a short introduction to some book . All i remember is the heroine was happy because , few days later ,she would be married to someone she loved for long . then when she went to work , her tyrant boss hero, whom she rejected his attentions before , sat her up for a robbery charge ot force her to cancel the wedding and he could bully her into cancelling it.

message 2136: by Johanna (new)

Johanna | 2 comments Sorry I don't have a lot of details. The book is a Harlequin Presents from the late 80's to early 90's. The setting is in the UK, and the basic story is the heroine loses her memory after an accident where she miscarries. Her father lies to keep the couple apart. After the father dies, the hero comes back and tries to get the heroine to remember (or confess) by recreating scenes from their past. For most of the story, I think the hero believes the heroine aborted on purpose. Towards the end, another car accident, brings up memories of the miscarriage and her relationship with the hero. On the cover, I vaguely remember a couple kneeling on a bed...

I've been trying to remember for years, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is it Crescendo ? One of my fave M&B's ever. She lives with her grandfather near the ocean, doesn't know she has amnesia as her grandfather wants to keep her and the hero apart.

Try To Remember has couple on bed in the cover.

message 2139: by Simmy (new)

Simmy | 4 comments Hi there Goodreaders. I have been searching and searching for a book. I believe it's a Harlequin. The heroine has a heart condition and is a widow. I think her deceased husband was a race car driver. He was freaked out by her heart condition and used that as an excuse to have affairs. I think the heroine worked at a family owned magazine company which was purchased by the hero. I think he had seen her in the past and fell in love with her. There's a scene where she falls asleep in her house and couldn't be woken by the hero. Also I think one of the hero's employees was her husband's doppelgänger which freaked her out. She didn't want to have heart surgery and was basically waiting to die until she fell in love with the hero. I hope this rings a bell with someone out there and that I haven't mixed up more than one book. Thanks for any help!

I "think" I can remember reading what you described - late 80's or 90's?. Vague recollection of hero and heroine swimming in ocean together and she says she will have the surgery.

Can't help with any further info, though. I did try a few synopsis searches on http://www.fictiondb.com/search/searc... - no luck. I searched for "widow/heart surgery/ heart condition/magazine" mix and match of those with lots of results but nothing that matched. Good luck!

Hey HP people,

Looking for a boo which is part of a trilogy of Australian.. tycoons. Yes, more tycoons.

This one starts out in the hospital where the h (who's just had a miscarriage) overhears her husband's best friend bemoaning the fact the H married the h only to have a baby. She gets upset but says nothing. She changes her looks, and they go on a second honeymoon. When he finds out she has decided to take birth control pills he goes ballistic.

Thanks

lol - You're right, they are all pretty bad. Re-reading 4 Undone at the moment, Cam, I suppose has good reason for his behaviour. I like Maya's older Harlequin Presents books, she doesn't seem to write for them anymore but sometimes, they are re-released under different book name on Harlequin Desire. Confusing and annoying.

"I am looking for a contemporary romance book (harlequin or mills & boons type) that I read in the 90s. I don't remember title or character's names. It started with the girl, who was cleaning a house, being late for a party and she had to change at the house she was in. His Untamed Innocent - Sara Craven -
Details below -

Marin's completely bewildered…. She thought pretending to be a loving couple would be easy, but the chemistry between her and Jake is explosive! She's also left with no doubt that what Jake wants, he gets.and it seems he wants her—badly. How can she, inexperienced and nervous, handle his lethal brand of dark desire?"

She moves out of their apartment and goes to live with an artist. This artist is,practically a strange. Her boyfriend and sister stay together since her sister is pregnant. (I THINK. A the heroines family barbeque she finds out her mother is not her biological mother. Her mother, sister and sister in law are really bitchy. She meets this guy who jogs every morning and they get together. I'm not sure about this part though, the guy the heroine sees in the mornings is a private detective who helps her to try and find her birth mother who was her fathers secretary. (I think)
