Nope, that's all. I can't even say if it's part of a series or a stand-alone although I'm leaning towards the latter.

Traded to the Desert Sheikh Chapter 11 mentions using the harem for students/study etc.

It's very similar but not the right one.

In the book I'm looking for, the heroine has a specific professional purpose for visiting the kingdom. She gets angry when she finds she will be staying in (what she thinks is) the harem because it will give people the wrong impression about the purpose of her visit. And she feels disrespected.

She later finds out that the place is currently being used as basically a women's hostel. So her being accomodated there was actually a very appropriate and respectful choice.

Also I think she finds out about it fairly early on, not towards the end.

I am looking for Regency romance of which I read only the synopsis and before I could download it by mistake I lost the thread. The heroine is described as being as thin as a twig and I think she is in a marriage of convenience with the H. Unfortunately I can’t remember anything else

This is the Harlequin Presents Readers thread. You may have better luck posting your question in one of the other threads. Not every HP reader also reads Regency romances.

Marina | 49 comments Hi, looking for a book with this scenario:

Heroine is kidnapped or in a MOC with the H. Eventually, they have sex and afterwards the h is able to escape. But she changes her mind and goes back to the bedroom where she sees the H being absolutely devastated. I think he says something like „Is it a dream? Have you really come back to me?“

MJ | 30 comments Hello everyone. I really like to read Harlequin Presents but have never read older HP because I like to have a little spice in my books. So can anyone recommend an older HP with a nice heroine who was not appreciated by the H and who grovels to get her back?
Thanks

I have a few ideas if it's recent. Any idea on publish decade? Good luck, most of my suggestions would be in last decade.

Alecia Robinson (alecia1990) | 30 comments Hello, I would like to know if anyone knows of a harlequin book where the hero was a prisoner for years after his plane ( he was in the air force) was shut down, I believe it was in Russia but I am not sure. He returns after years and everyone believes he was dead. His wife the heroine was wary of him but came around after getting to know him again after the army send them to Hawaii. The hero's outlook in life had changed and no longer wanted to go back into the social scene which his wife loved. They also separated because of this but the reconciled at the end of the book. Could be a 90s romance. Thank you

Aou | 3 comments Solved : For Pleasure or Marriage by Julia James

I've been looking for a book but don't remember if it is HP or Mills and Boon Modern, the MCs name except H was Greek h was a naive English virgin who didn' t know she was mistress until a sleezy relative of H told her and H confirmed it. They met Paris and together 6 months I think. Heroine has a backbone and not destitude. She left H, buy a flat in a new city/village with her inheritance and waited her child to be born. Of course H found her and redeemed himself while trying to make h to love him again.

Nadia Charmelus | 2 comments I am looking for a book where the heroine(his mistress) is pregnant and the hero usually does not keep a mistress for more than three or six months and so that period of time is about to be over and heroine is afraid to tell him about the baby. H returns from a business trip and they go out and he tells her that he has met someone new and she ( in lieu of going to washroom) just simply goes away from the hotel back door and out of his life.
They meet some years later at the same hotel where she works and has a son.
Please tell me the title of the book —- this was posted by a subscriber and I’m looking for the same book

Tmstprc | 12 comments A FB reader group is looking for the following Debbie Macomber. Some of her books were originally published in Silhouette and Harlequin lines...

H emotionally cheats and “falls out of love” with his wife - I don’t think there is cheating on page.
h (wife) is pregnant and finds out either as or right after H announces he is leaving
They have 2 kids already but H doesn’t see them too much because ow doesn’t want anything to do with his first family
I want to say they are separated when she gives birth
I can’t remember if H finds out about the pregnancy/baby right before or right after birth
He does step up and try and help with the baby and get to know his new child.
H realizes what he has done and wants to come home
I know there is an hea for H and h but can’t remember a grovel.

Any ideas??? Thanks :)

I know that the H emotionally cheats and leaves the h in this book. They had 3 young daughters. I can't remember if she just found out she was pregnant with the fourth child and was about to tell him when he told her he was in love with his work assistant, or she found out right after he left. The Fourth Child by C.J. Carmichael.

I've read this one, he doesn't leave for the OW, she takes the daughters to their vacation home for the summer, but he's there on weekends. They reconcile before the end of the summer--the baby isn't born yet.

The Girl in Seat 24B In this book the H and h have 2 children. H selfishly takes off to have a life he's always wanted. As I recall the h wants a divorce. The h finds out she's pregnant and the H sees the error of his ways and comes back home just as she's going into labor or delivering the baby. ( I'm not sure if the H was cheating while away but I can remember the presidential candidate in the book telling the h about his experience with his cheating wife in the past and me thinking he knows the H was cheating on the h). Can't remember all the details.

I can't imagine there would be a book based on the H who essentially threatened the life of the woman carrying his child and mistakenly kidnapped the h (instead of Jenny). I don't think it painted a HQ picture of redemption.

A friend is looking for 2 books with a similar theme.
1. Hero has the heroine's BG investigated and accuses of being an escort. She explains that while she did indeed go with the men and got paid for the same, she went as a translator and there was never any sex involved.

2. Hero is lied to by someone that the heroine is a prostitute working via an escort agency. The heroine admits to being an escort, but says she joined that particular agency because they have a strict no sex with clients policy. He does not believe her.
