Actually, Cassandra Clare's series is "The Mortal Instruments". "The Immortals" series is by Alyson Noel, and starts off with the book Evermore. ;)

I read both. I love Fallen more. Daniel is my best angel, ever.

Did you mean Daniel? In Fallen, he had every reason to act as the coldest person ever, but in Torment, he was a different person. Have you read both?

I think readers are allowed to have various opinions about certain kinds of books. But I think it is better not to expect anything when you start reading a novel. Surely everyone has each own standard and expectation, but that will ruin the excitement in reading. I usually free myself from any expectation. I did that before, having expectation, and ended up feeling unhappy.
What do you like then? Mortal Instruments or Immortals?

nope not yet

Mortal Instruments from Cassandra Clare is all about Nephilim with downworlders as additional characters, such as were, vamps, fey, and all the darklings.
Immortals is...well, surely about immortals...:)

TRUE dAT!

1)Luce isn't niave like, oh I don't know, Ever!
2)The main guy, even though he's an angel, is way more realistic
3)The plot and overall storyline is SOOO much better!
I'm not saying The Immortals isn't good, I LOVE how Ever can talk to Riley, her ghost sister and I like how she see's auras but something was missing unfortunatly.
I'm sorry to any The Immortals fans, but I prefer Fallen and Torment WAY more!
Hope this helps :)

I also recommend Iron King series from Julie Kagawa...:)

Mortal Instruments has 3 series. The origin Mortal Instruments, the prequel, Clockwork Angel, and sequel...:)

how so?

Fallen was really good but Torment was a disappointment and I am not sure I will read anymore.
I have read the First book in Cassandra Clares angel series and I haven't read the others.

Cassandra Clare's books are about Nephilim, not angels. It is my suggestion that you read her book to actually understand its content...:)

I Actually did read the first book in the series. I apologize for the mistake in calling it an angel series. It has been at least a year and a half ago that I read it so it isn't clear in my mind. I didn't read the others in the series though b/c the first one wasn't my favorite. sorry for the mistake. :)

Ahhh...okay. It is actually too bad that you do not like City of Bones, book 1 one the series (Fyi: Clockwork Angel is not book 1 of Mortal Instruments series) It got 5 stars from Yareads. Well...everybody has their own favorites...:)

The subject is about Fallen and Immortals. It is somehow developing along with various questions raised by some readers. I don't think it needs a bright brain for that mystery...:)

Yes, this is true. but i am thinking about giving the City of Bones series another try. Everyone on here writes such great things about it!

Give it another try and share the excitement with all of us....:)

I think you've misunderstood which series the Immortals Series is. It's by Alyson Noel. The first book is Evermore. That's the one that I was referring to (about the it getting worse and worse)
I really loved Lauren Kate's Fallen. I had a few problems with Torment, but I still enjoyed it.

What makes them the same? Gorgeous main characters? a third person? Then you will consider all young adults novels are similar for they all have that in common.
I like Immortals but not as much as I love Fallen. I am not to excited in reading or waiting for Evermore' sequels but I am dying for Passion...

Luce and Ever are always dying before they ever really get to love and then they are reborn over and over to be with the same people. Ever sees her past lives through that screen and Luce is going to see her's in Passion by going back. The future all depends on their past. That's how they're the same.

Noted down. But beside that, Ever could be with Damen right away, while Luce, even though Daniel confessed to love her, she could not be with him due to all the 'angel's restrictions'
Immortals is not that difficult to understand while Fallen is so dark it always has something hidden. Immortals started the problem in every beginning of each book while Fallen had the problem through the books. Immortals is more like continuing short story while the story in Fallen will not stop until Rapture (should it stop there)....

I didn't like Fallen much either. In the end I felt it was worth finishing but I didn't think I would read Torment. But I picked it up a little over a week ago and although it still has its slow moments, for me personally, its a heck of a lot better than Fallen. I Think in Fallen, she was just setting the stage. With Torment, she is getting a little deeper into it. By "Passion" I think things will fall more into place. I dont know if there are any other books after Passion though.

Oops. The Immortals series- quite similar but I liked Lauren Kates better, namely because I gave up halfway through evermore.

No, it is not. Rapture, book 4 of the series will be released in 2012.
