Authors did a Q&A a couple days ago. I haven't read all of it but there are some interesting tidbits about the characters in there. Good if you're looking for a little fix :)

Here's the link to the 2nd snippet if you missed it:

"We don’t know yet. It’s due before new year and then we’ll be able to say more. Right now we are praying they don’t hate it." ~ Ilona

"The book makes several sharp turns and there is plenty of action. Roland is in it, but there is no super-giant get the entire Atlanta to fight battle. It gets really personal instead and there is a lot of action so I don’t think you’ll disappointed. :) It’s like Star Wars.
Darth Vader: I AM YOUR FATHER! Luke: Noooooooo!
Roland: I AM YOUR FATHER! Kate: Bring it.
Also you get to find out about some other members of Kate’s family. So big, huge, epic book."

"Roland: I AM YOUR FATHER! Kate: Bring it...."
Love it! Love it! Love it!

So I went to pre-order

Kevin Hearne's next book

The publishers are really stuffing up all my reading. If I want the mmp I'm gonna be way behind everyone else.

You get to book #7 and suddenly you have to either pay £15, or wait a year just to read your fave series - one that you've followed for years.
I guess I could buy the ebook, but for the UK (I'm not sure what it's like in other places), IA ebooks have always been more expensive IMO, almost as much as the paperback version.
Will you be buying the hardback, Sandra?

Out of curiosity I had a look at my preorders at BD for authors I'm waiting the 12+mths for:
Patricia Briggs (I got Frost Burned last week);Gail Carriger; Jayne Ann Krentz (I read the hc from the library at least for hers); Lora Leigh (#29 Breed bk ?? they started at #29 with the hc); Jacqueline Carey; Nalini Singh; Darynda Jones (6mth wait this time, has been 12mths in the past); Anne Bishop; Ilona Andrews; Kevin Hearne; Keri Arthur; Jeaniene Frost.
There will be more, these are just the ones I've got sitting on the wishlist waiting for the mmp to be available for pre-order, at the moment.
As to ebook/kindle prices - anywhere from $4 - $10 more than the mmp.
I don't mind so much if my library gets them, either hc or digital, so I can read them and just wait for the mmp to come out. Which I do for JAK. But my library is a lot lacking, though they are starting to get more books.

I'm one of those who prefer MMP! They're so much easier to read IMO, and take up less room. At the end of the day, the inside of the book is going to be the same, so I can't justify spending 5x as much just to make my arm ache more when I hold it LOL!

Even if they do look pretty, they just aren't cost effective, especially with my looonnng list of books. Plus they always cost way more out here in the antipodes.

I've been getting the KD books in audio. I really hope it comes out at the same time and there isn't a delay like we almost had with MR.

MAGIC BREAKS, Book 7 and Not Final (because for some reason people keep asking us if it is) has gone through the copyedit, so we should move on to the galley stage. We are still on target for July 29, 2014 release. So humble. Of course Magic #8 (9-100) would make money!
...
Once BURN FOR ME [Book 1 in Hidden Legacy series] edits are finished, we are moving on to Jim and Dali novella, which will hopefully show Jim in a somewhat less serious light. After that, we begin work on Magic #8, tentatively titled Magic Please Make Money, We Might Have A Kid in College Soon.

Glad she's doing another Jim & Dali novella; I like them together.
Burn for Me ~ is that the one for Carina Press? I think that is who she said, but I could be wrong.

Yep, Avon. :)

Loved the first book.
And an extract for the Jim & Dali book under the Kid 1 & Tulip post.

On a happier note, for those of you who like sneak peeks, here are two for Magic Shifts (with spoiler warnings for those who haven't read Magic Breaks): "Mean Teaser" 1 and "Mean Teaser 2"

Plagiarists are scum!

Staying away from spoilers as my copy of Magic Breaks is very nearly here. *jumping up & down in anticipation*

As for the last book, I think it was the best definitely, hands down, up to the par with book 3, my second favorite. They went in the direction I loved to see with Roland, didn't think they'd even think of going the direction I secretly wanted, it was awesome. Let's hope the next book doesn't mess up my fangirling though :) Can't wait.
