Welcome to the group, Darreth! Continuing to think about a book when you've finished it is definitely a sign of a good book.

LOL, Red! Absolutely! It has happened (and continues to) to all of us. :DYAY, Darreth! Happy to have ya here.
Nice rec, Ashley! Hadn't heard of this so looked it up...interesting.
#1 in World of AscensionAlison Wells is no ordinary woman. Born with supernatural powers, she can never make love to a man without putting him in grave danger. But when her special vision reveals a glorious muscled man soaring overhead on mighty wings, she feels an overwhelming attraction she cannot resist—even as he tells her: “I have come for you. Your blood belongs to me.”
Kerrick is a vampire and a warrior who has fought his hunger for a woman’s love for the past two hundred years. As a Guardian of Ascension, he is sworn to protect Alison from the death vamp armies who crave her blood and her power. But Kerrick has cravings of his own—a forbidden longing to open his heart and veins to Alison. To share his blood…satisfy his thirst…and seal their fates forever.
Added to Mt. TBR....

a lot."If you liked the first book, you gonna love the next and the next and the next. :)
This has been my favorite new series this year. I must admit I feel that I should pimp it out because I think it's better than BDB & MB. This is the first one:
Also another super creepy one:
And a really neat twist on vamps with a good mystery:

Jennifer Lyon is continuing Wing Slayer Hunters by self-publishing. Her novella came out on April 12th.
Ignore the garbled book covers in the quoted comment, above. GR strikes again! The rest of the series is:
Glad you liked Caressed by Moonlight cause I've got that one. So now I need to find the time to read it :)
I really liked Caressed by Moonlight as well! Aaannd because of you lot, I've also gone and ordered Wicked As They Come :P
I know Josie... GRs is a dangerous dangerous place, I just downloaded it too. Kindle, wifi, and GRs just make it too easy to acquire books.
We are enablers! I even started reading and didn't add it to the TBR pile. So far all I can think of is Johnny Depp as the lead as I'm reading.

is a great trilogy. I don't know if it has been mentioned but it's quick and excellent."I have the first one in my TBR pile. Good to know that it's an enjoyable trilogy.

The Undead Heart by Tate Jackson (#1 in The Blood Thirst Series) $2.99 Kindle Edtion. Also available on Nook. http://www.amazon.com/Undead-Heart-Th...Just when she was about to escape the drama that she had always lived in, Richard, a vampyre, walked into her life and shattered her reality with one request; travel back in time to 1888 to stop a psychopathic vampyre bent on revenge and save the family she never knew she had.
She would be joined on her journey by a band of vampyre hunters. Hunters who, centuries ago, had vowed to slay all vampyres. A vow they set aside to protect the family that they had come to love, knowing that the outcome of that decision would be an eventual battle. A battle of decapitation and blood; a battle they may not survive.
She was leaving a life she would kill to get away from for a family she would gladly die to protect, but could she do it? Could she make it back alive? Did she possess the strength and courage it would take to change the past and save their future?
Blood Thirst by Tate Jackson (#2 book in The Blood Thirst Series) $2.99 Kindle Edition. http://www.amazon.com/Blood-Thirst-Th...The continuing story of Beck Jaxon and her family: The Young/Jaxon family won the battle, but Elderson escaped, again. Now, Beck and her family have to deal with the losses they suffered during the battle with Elderson’s clan.
They bury their dead and morn the loss of their family members. But there would be no rest for them. Elderson may have escaped this time, but he will be back. He wants Beck dead and will stop at nothing to make that happen.
Will Elderson succeed, or will Beck and her family finally rid the world of Royal Elderson and the evil he has unleashed for centuries?
This series is 6 star all the way around. The author has mentioned that due to sales and piracy it may be hard for her to continue the series (I think all of them were only 4.00 something odd for kindle). This would be such a shame! So now I try to pimp them out whenever I can
Also Downside Ghosts is having similiar problems and it would be HORRIBLE to lose future books.
I loved the Rhiannon's Law Series. I'm sort of saving the third one. I can't believe Stacia Kane might be in trouble with her series. It would be devastating. The Downside books are probably as unique as it gets. New Series I adore: Only first in series

I think the "Stream Liner" is stopping people from seeing my posts !!!! :)
Does look creepy for Halloween... Paul sometimes we get lazy, here are the links so we can click for a quick peek.
And the first is only $.99 on amazon US
I'm a little behind in reading so many of my favorite series are already well-known. However, since rediscovering my love of reading, I've met an Indie Author who is writing her first series. I am now her first reader and editor. The first two books in the series are available now on Amazon. The third is due out in December. Adult PNR about vampires and vampire hunters. Love this series. Great characters, and a great story which is full of suspense!
(Both are on sale for .99.each through Halloween)
Hope you'll give it a try!

Kindlelicious wrote: "I just started Shelly Laurenston's Pride series this week and have been utterly consumed. These books are a lot lighter than some listed here, but seriously cute and funny. Her Dragon Kin series ..."I agree with you! I absolutely love the pride series. Have you tried her Magnus pack series?? The 3-book series is hilariously fun. Her Dragon Kin is kinda losing its steam for me anyways..
I am just going to say i read many, many of the mentioned and do agree wholeheartedly.Did anyone try the Descendant series by Jenna Black(it counts as series right? there are 2 about to be 3 books and a short story in it?)
Steph wrote: "AH, that's a very good question. It's funny b/c I recently started a post called "All Good Things..." raising the opposite question. While there are definitely series I wish wouldn't/hadn't come ...""In Death" and Anita Blake still ongoing? I've stopped reading both series. It was getting repetitive so I gave up althoug i really liked the both series early on.
OK need to add a few 'first books' on to the list....(apologies for duplicates!)

For me my addicted series regardless of age, therefore must be recommended, are.. (I added the first book of each series):Romance:
Karen Marie Moning's Fever series
Christine Feehan's Dark Series.
Sandra Hill's Viking series.
Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld
Cherise Sinclair's Masters of the Shadowlands
Shelly Laureston's Magnus Pack series. And her
Pack series PLUS her Pen-name (G.A. Aiken) Dragon Kin series
Children's and YA
Suzanne Collin's Underland Chronicles (you guys know her as the author of The Hunger Games)
Tamora Pierce's Song of the Lioness Quartet
J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter, of course.
Garth Nix's Abhorsen series
Uglies Trilogy by Scott Westerfeld
series by Carrie Ryan
Simon Holt's The Devouring series.
I'm actually wondering if anyone can help me find a couple of series that I lost track of.1) A book about a woman who kennels werewolves in her shed during the full moon to help them. She falls in love with a werewolf who turns out to be the leader of the wolves. The leader of the vampires falls in love with her, also. She has a fascination with King Arthur and anything associated to Arthurian times. Her grandmother ends up living with her, along with a friend's daughter. The books are full of action, romance, and the paranormal (unicorns, dragons, you name it).
2)A woman is turned into a vampire and ends up becoming the Queen of Vampires. I don't remember much more than that, but she does fall in love with a man who is the King of Vampires. (Or something along those lines).
Please help! Thanks!
