I didn't even go near the book table yesterday, just walked out the door. Thankfully it's at the other end and I just wanted to get home, busy day there.

So, it's seven days. I've mentally gone through my books and thinking of ones I might just pull out and donate, thinking they might be so-so and not worth it. Then again, there's that little voice that says, "you never know, a buddy read might come up or something."

22 days! I've been looking at B&N a lot lately! I'm suppose to be getting two books from two different Secret Santas, but none yet. Soooooo, it's getting hard not to buy. LOL

Day 39 and really going through bad withdrawals..LOL!!
I DO NOT NEED A NEW BOOK, I DO NOT NEED A NEW BOOK, I DO NOT NEED A NEW BOOK.Just yelling at myself not anyone else..LOL!! Hey I got my free credit for Audible I forgot about maybe that will help my withdrawals. :D!!

Day 40 and doing pretty good today..but I am getting so tempted to open my secret santa gift..LOL!!!

I caved.

On Monday I found Wench and Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, two books that I didn't buy before and felt left out of the loop. At least it was only $1 for the two, and I did bag up four or five more to donate. Every now and then I like to purge my stash of ones that I probably won't enjoy to make room for the ones I know I will.

I bought 4 books yesterday but they were for Christmas presents so that doesn't count right? I don't usually pay for books for myself, I trade online which is really bad because I have 300 books on my shelves to read plus 2 totes of books to add. So instead saying when I "bought" books, i will list by trade. The last time requested books was Friday. So I'm going on day 5. Only thing is, I requested 50 books!

I think Bible studies can be exempt, along with textbooks.

I was at the church to help collate the holiday weekend bulletins (2500), and didn't even go near the books. There was one I was contemplating on Monday, but no no no. I've run out of space and boxes. period. end of discussion.

I am soooooooooo proud of myself. Again I went to B&N and came out with NO BOOKS. My husband did have to take my hand and pull me out though.

Lisa LOL!! Oh I know I could really go nuts right about now with my Credit Card if I hadn't given them to hubby..LOL!!! I gave them to him so I wouldn't go overboard..LOL!! He just laugh at me and shook his head..LOL!!
Day 42!! now it is just see how far I can get before I do go nuts..LOL!!

Well, I just think of all the books piled here, there, and everywhere in our bedroom and that's enough of a deterrent right now. Reading only 25 or so books a year, it will take me six years to read all of them. I've set a computer curfew for 8pm in 2011. My goal is to read 3 a month, minimum.

Day 11. I've just put my last homeless books away after weeding out a couple that I've changed my mind on.

Book-buying and FB game-playing are habits that need to be addressed in 2011, among other things.

I'll work on that 2011 gameplan today and tomorrow. It's just so overwhelming to make all of these life-altering changes.
