How Many Hours, Days, Weeks, Months???
Well, I gotta reset my counter now! Just bought a book club book for November... that was 10 days. xD Pretty long, actually!
Wow--- blinkity, blink and I'm back up to Day 25. I haven't had much reading time lately so I haven't been shopping either. Maybe I can hold out a little bit longer. LOL =)

I was in one of t..."Tim sounds like your on the opposite side of us Women with our hubby's/boyfriends..LOL!! And book lovers like us how can we resist a book in a genre we love for only 50 cents. :D!!
I just broke my 17 day record. xDPaid 1 cent on amazon (plus shipping) for The Crimson Petal and the White which just seemed pretty darn awesome from the description. (Plus, it's over 800 pages, yay!)
Ok... First HAPPY DECEMBER.... where has the year gone? I'm back in NYC from my 2 month stint in Poland and didn't bring back too many books (silly weight limits on luggage). Now its time to job hunt and since I'm living off my savings I am definitely not allowed to blow it on books. But its xmas season and all I wanna do is go into a book store and look through the new additions of the last 2 months.
I've been strong and I found a way out... I have points from credit and debit cards and the rewards program allows you to get books for the points... so its kinda free. YAY! Where there's a will, there's a way! So I ordered 2 books yesterday. So I guess I should count this as Day 1 (sort of).
Also I have a packed to read shelf that I should start making a dent in, but I'm currently reading
and this baby is looooong. Its 1008 pages in paperback which I thought would go by fast, but man that print is small! (I am really enjoying it).So ladies.... resist the temptation this holiday season. (Unless you get a gift card to a bookstore).
GOOD LUCK!!!
I just bought books today. Sigh! But that takes up my allowance, so I'm telling myself I won't buy anymore for the month. Ha ha ha ha ha!!! If you can't laugh at yourself when you're being silly, who can you laugh at?
I made it 48 days , and since I am finished with my Christmas shopping (and took a huge box of books in for trade) I rewarded myself today with eight books from the used book store.
3 days! Instead I bought a bath suit to motivate me for the gym. (probably did it backwards... gym then reward with new suit... oh well).

Besides think of it as a reward for not buying books and a motivation to go to the gym.
Then find something else to reward yourself for the gym, just in this case maybe not a book since you're trying to stay away from buying them. Then again...if it's a reward...no, no I will NOT encourage others to break down!!
I just want to say I just got back from shopping and even went to B&N and I DID NOT buy myself a book. How good am I ? LOL
Day 30!! And Lisa you did really well..smiles. I just don't have any money to spend on books rigth now. Still having problems with the back up computer. So won't be on much..smiles. Love ya all, Debi
It's been six days - last Monday. Our church has an ongoing book sale, so I stopped on my way out from working in the office. Then, I did get during the week my ebay order from Thanksgiving weekend. Well, I needed one for a challenge, and the other two were on my future reads list for over a year and all were 99cents...you can understand that, right?
Lisa S wrote: "Kim any excuse is good enough to buy a book. LOL"I agree! ha ha! Of course that may be why we're in a group called bookbuying anonymous. Lol.
Lisa proud of you and saying no to B&N. I went to B&N while waiting to meet a friend on Saturday and in my head picked out 3 books from the "Buy 2 get 3rd free" table. I was about to pick them up and head towards the register till I saw the MASSIVE cashier line. Thank you holiday shoppers for stopping me!
