I think we are being watched. George Orwell style. I just made a post about how rabbits are destroying my garden and now I look at the ads that are on the right hand side of the screen when viewing group stuff or looking up books, etc. and I notice there are not one, but TWO adds for rabbit and or squirrel repellent. Maybe I am dense for just now noticing this, after being on Goodreads for nearly a year, I feel like it might be 1984 . . .

Cici That's funny! I agree with you though. I've been doing a lot of wedding planning and looking up baby stuff and that's all the ads that come up on the sides! I'm going to watch them more closely, because I'm sure you haven't been on wedsites for the repellent, you just mentioned it and that IS weird.

I am not a fan of starbucks, the coffee always tastes burnt to me and it's overpriced, so maybe next time someone wants to go to starbucks I'll try their smoothies.

Jess (jhigg) The university I go to is the university the CEO of Starbucks graduated from ^_^ We have a Starbucks in the basement of our library. :)

Steven (tbones) | 592 comments I love the way that one comedian Luis Black talks about how crazy the Starbucks thing is. He says Starbucks puts up their coffee places for people that have alztimers. This way when they walk out of a coffee shop and have forgotten they had some, they can look across the street and see another Starbucks and say, "Ya know, I feel like a cup of Joe." :o)

Have you guys seen the bedbugs story on the news? Apparently there has been a big increase in the number of bedbug infestations in the US. People who travel a lot are suseptible. My foot was so itchy the other day, I had convinced myself I had bedbugs (I went on two trips this summer). I tore the house apart looking for the signs of the little creatures (gross reddish-brown stains, and shed exoskeletons) - I literally had all the beds apart and the couch. No signs Whew!

Cici I heard about the bedbugs.. the good thing is that they're big enough to see them. I always thought they were so small they were invisible. Goodnite sleep tight don't let the bedbugs bite!
