Okay let's vote. Here's how we'll roll. Vote your #1 pick first and then your 2nd pick. Your choices are ...

Women Without Men A Novel Of Modern Iran

The Fiction Class

The Glass Castle A Memoir

The Curious Incident

Love in the Time of Cholera

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time

Bright Shiny Morning

I'll close down the thread Monday. Remember this is for August's book pick so think about what you want to be reading in the dog days of summer.

By a VERY close margin our August read will be
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. Thanks to everyone who voted and get that book reserved, ordered or staked out at B&N with the overstuffed chair in the corner.

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) Am I right that this is a mystery? Would one that's totally not a mystery lover be able to read this book through to the end?

message 25: by Christal (last edited Jun 17, 2008 10:52AM) (new)

Christal Jo - I've heard the mystery isn't the most important part of this book and that it is actually solved about midway through. I think it is mainly a story about how one person deals with being autistic in a changing world. Please correct me if I'm wrong though, Chicks.
