I saw that post. I liked Gaiman's response about how every time he tried to think of his imaginary book he realized he wanted to write it. He ended up having to think a little outside of the box.
Lobstergirl wrote: "I wish Suzanne Somers would write a history of the Cold War."...accompanied by a video where she acts out all the parts.
I wish Neil Gaiman and Clive Barker would stop writing YA and childrens books for a while and write anything for adults.
I'm a huge Gaiman, fan, Jamie, but I'm worried he's become a marketing machine, if you will, cranking out way too much but nothing of great quality. I don't think he's written anything that good in a while.

I thought The Graveyard Book was only ok...Fragile Things felt like a set of outtakes to me. I'm waiting for his next great one, I guess.
I thought The Graveyard Book was excellent too. But I may have not had as high of expectations as RA.
I loved The Graveyard Book, except for the framing story with the Jacks. That part felt vague and underdeveloped to me.
I wish Stephen King would set Roland free and have more adventures with him. That would be so fing cool.
I wish Janet Malcolm would write more books. She's 76, so she doesn't have much time left.
Ditto for Adrian Nicole LeBlanc, who has only written one book which took her 10 years. She's much younger though.

The site's subtitle is "Imaginary Book Covers for Actual Authors".
That got me thinking...what books haven't been written by your favorite authors? What would you like your favorite authors to write about/write about more?
I wish we had more short stories by Robert Walser.
I wish Cormac McCarthy would write more about the southwest...he's so damn good at it. Maybe another modern novel, like No Country For Old Men.
You?
