Thanks Liz - The Island of Dr. Moreau it is!
Felina, thanks! I haven't read a lot of fantasy so that gives me something new to look into. Whoa! I just looked into the Ice & Fire series, they seem to be 750-1000+ pgs. That's a bit much for me right now, but I appreciate the suggestion. I'm thinking of reading Cutting for Stone.
I rolled a 251, and looks like I have a lot of options. Here are some just from my TBR list:242 - Fates Worse Than Death - Kurt Vonnegut
244 - Fallen - David Maine
247 - Gilead - Marilynne Robinson
248 - The Everafter - Amy Huntley
254 - The Wordy Shipmates - Sarah Vowell
255 - The History of Love - Nicole Krauss
256 - Little Black Book of Stories - A.S. Byatt
256 - Dreamland - Sarah Dessen
256 - Golden: A Retelling of "Rapunzel" - Cameron Dokey
256 - Misguided Angel - Melissa dela Cruz
256 - Ophelia Joined the Group Maidens Who Don't Float: Classic Lit Signs on to Facebook - Sarah Schmelling
256 - Carrie - Stephen King
256 - I Married a Dead Man - Cornell Woolrich
256 - Babylon's Ark: The Incredible Wartime Rescue of the Baghdad Zoo - Lawrence Anthony
256 - Brighton Rock - Graham Greene
256 - Mennonite in a Little Black Dress - Rhoda Janzen
256 - Time Out of Joint - Philip K. Dick
And that's not even all of them, lol! Almost too many options. :)
ugh. 644. so not fair. All the books on my TBR are actually a lot longer or in the 500 page range... time to dig.

I just finished Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets and my copy was 631 pages, though others vary. If you like non-fiction or true crime or cop shows, it was so good I'm still sad it's over.
Just to clarify, we can use a book if the copy we actually read has a page count that fits our dice roll, even if Goodreads lists that edition with a different page count? I rolled 416 and would like to use my bookclub pick, Cloudstreet : A Novel . Goodreads says 432, but the copy I bought has 426 pages, whick JUST fits the task.

So glad you used Son of a Witch as the example, I've been meaning to read it for years and I rolled 361 so it only just fits! Thanks!!!

Any suggestions for 2,5,4? xxOops can't type! 2,3,4! And have found Not Tonight Honey, Wait 'Til I'm a Size Six which is 224 so that's what i'll read :) xx
I'm stuck with 253 and am having huge troubles finding a book. I found one that was 242 and a few that are 265 but nothing in between. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
You have The Mistress Of Nothing on your shelf, which is 256 page. Will that work, or have you put into a different task?

I have a suspiciously large number of books with 256 pages, but at least some of these should work once you are able to check the physical edition.
o.O Wow, you guys absolutely rock! Thank you so much, Liz and Elizabeth! Now I have no excuses for this challenge! :)
I rolled a 344. My copy of Bubbles Unbound has 334 pages of the actual title story, but it contains a 10ish page preview chapter for the next book. Would this still work considering I never read the "bonus" material at the end of a book?
Lavendarlol- (Special Civilian Roleplayer) wrote: "Anyone know of any YA books with 656 pages? I doubt it."The Seventh Tower by Garth Nix?
Lavendarlol- (Special Civilian Roleplayer) wrote: "Anyone know of any YA books with 656 pages? I doubt it."the only YA on my list that would work:
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (652 pgs)
some others that are between 646-666:
Vanity Fair (657 pgs)
River God: A Novel of Ancient Egypt (664 pgs)
The Other Boleyn Girl (664 pgs)
Lavendarlol- (Special Civilian Roleplayer) wrote: "Maybe. But I don't really like fantasy novels that much. If I can't find anything else. Thanks."Impulse by Ellen Hopkins is another one. Besides that, I got nothing.
Is there an easier way of figuring out what page numbers all of the book in your list have other than clicking on all of the titles? I got the number 336.
Go to Goodread's help page and look for the help topic for "import books". Under that topic is a link for "export your books". Clicking on it automatically exports all your books on your shelf to an excel file. The file has a column for titles and a column for pages, from there you can sort the whole sheet by number of pages & scroll to the relevant section to look at the corresponding titles. (I took this from Liz's post on page 1. Hope it helps.)
when you sort your goodreads list, there is a menu down the bottom that you can use to order and page number is one of the options...or you can download your library via excel file - I do this on a regular basis) and it will give you all the columns with page number being one and use that

Yes
I got 665 -- Yikes!Lalie Belle (Lavendarlol) wrote: "Anyone know of any YA books with 656 pages? I doubt it."
If I do this challenge, I'm going to read Inkspell (my edition has 656 pages). You could try that!
I rolled a 1,4,1, which is proving difficult! But I may have found a solution: my copy of The Song of Roland is 183, but the actual text of the poem doesn't begin until 51, making it 132 pages. Does that count?
Anna wrote: "I rolled 546, any kind of help would be greatly appreciated."Never mind I found my book: The Briar King by Greg Keyes (553)

Try books by Ellen Hopkins. She is fantastic and her books are long, but the page formats are unique.

pjreads wrote: "No, can you find a copy without introductory material?"Alas, I can't, I have to read this edition at some point for other purposes. I will try to come up with something else. Thanks for the answer, though!

You are so awesome! I think I might go for Macbeth, because I've made it thus far in life without reading it and that should be corrected!
