SOLVED. Jackanory Story about merry-go-round horses [s]

Can anyone remember the name of a story from Jackanory years and years ago... I seem to think Bernard Cribbens read it. It was about wooden horses from a merrygoround that came to life at night time and I recall it being quite sad. I thought it was called Moon on the Water but I can't find anything on the web. Thanks for your time.

Thanks, but no, it's not that one. I think there was a group of about four horses that stuck together.

Thank you, but I don't see anything on that list that rings a bell and I'm not sure if that title is just misleading me. Come to think of it, it could have been Ronald Pickup who read it.
