Ha! For that matter, it seems highly unlikely to me that two women would be content to share a single man on a regular basis. Talk about cat fights! :-)

Its even worse when the character feels justified in her ways, as in she feels no need for self improvement. I have absolutely no tolerance for characters that think finding their next pair of heels it the penultimate in human existence.
I am sure that rape wouldn't sit very well with me either but I haven't read very many books with rape. Then again its one thing if its the bad guy doing the rape, but the "justified" rape or then being forgiven as okay, that's just gross.
Also kids. I draw the line at kids.

LMAO! I'll add it to my to-read list, thanks!
And yeah, Jessa, cheating would make me question the HEA. I mean how can there truly be a believable HEA if one of them wasn't committed to the relationship at some point?

Yeah, absolutely. Gotta throw that in there. I think women in a situation like that would be even worse then men! LOL

I'm guessing you hate the Queen Betsy books. Or if you haven't read them, you won't enjoy them, lol. There's a lot about fashion in the BDB books as well, and oddly it's a male thing. It made me giggle hearing guys talk about how much they love their clothes (Butch).

It's funny because that's another reason why I can't read MMF, MFM, MMMMMF or whatever. To me that IS cheating. No matter that its consentual and the couple (whichever of the heroes the h ends up with) is totally fine with it. I know it doesn't really make sense, but that's just me.
And here's something weirder, while I'd much rather read books where there is NO cheating (the nonconsentual one) whatsoever, if it does (or did) happen, I can grow to forgive the character provided that it is done right.
Different strokes for different folks have never been more true, I guess. :)

I totally agree about the cheating thing. Even if the couple works it out between them - it's still tainted for me. In Rhevenge & Mary's story in BDB I was so sick to my stomach when Rhevenge went to the bar for sex with Mary in his bed at home - even though I know he was trying to keep the dragon at bay and even though he didn't like it - it still ruined the story for me! He's one of my least favorite BDB characters.

That was so unrealistic to me. THAT made me question their HEA. In fact I didn't believe it at all. He was really burnt by the thought of his ex with another man. He was hurt and heartbroken, but he willingly shares the heroine with another guy? Nope, didn't buy it. Still don't.

Exactly, Sam. I feel the same way.

Thanks, just added them to my to-read.

LOL. Lauren, you probably want to avoid Keri Arthur and Sunny too then.
I started reading a paranormal romance that sounded good by the summary on the cover.
But about 1/4 - 1/3 into the book after a couple of 'psi' aided sex scenes between a the hero and heroine who had no convincing reason to be attracted to each other I couldn't take it anymore. The details were too many and it was just plain ridiculous. It was contortionist sex and I couldn't imagine how it was even enjoyable.
I am glad to say that the author name and book title escape me right now.

Queen Betsy does drive me up the wall. Strangely enough though the other characters in the story sort of make up for her inane stupidity. But yes, its not a series I read past book two. =D

If I judged you for that it would be like the throwing stones at glass houses thing. :-) ..."
I red Regina in the Sun series and I had a difficult time with the m/f/m in it a little...I don't have a problem in general, to each his own, but it got a little too graphic for me. Did I stop reading it, no, was it my favorite in the series, no, but would I read the series including this again, yes. It was good and I took it for face value.

I haven't read the others yet. I think it was my first/only I've read where the guys get it on with each other. It was a little weird, but like you said, I didn't stop reading, and I liked the rest of the story. But the "discomfort" I felt with the guys I think is why I'm hesitant to read Lux's story. Did you read that one yet?

The third one, Twilight Guardian, was my favorite in the entire series. It follows Kit, the giant. If the m/f/m part made you uncomfortable, I would skip Lux in Shadow and go straight to Twilight Guardian. There really isn't anything you can't catch up on in it.

Awesome... thanks for the tip! At least I know I'm not missing anything.

Ya, that's me too. I can't stand M/M romance AT ALL. I also get queezed out about backdoor sex, BDSM, or rape/dominance. If Im not comfortable with myself being visualized as the heroin (which I don't do often) then I don't want to read it. Also certain words can catch me up, like the C, P and F bomb when used in a sentence to woo someone, its like say what?? Also I don't like b*tchy heroins, or when a couple spends the majority of a book fighting, and then at the end its like ta da! We love each other! Not buying it.

That book was actually my 1st foray into Erotica and I loved it! I loved all 3 of them, so needless to say, S&m would not bother me. However, Beastiality annoys me. I like shifter books, but not in that form.
Anita Blake after the 9th or 10th book turns into really bad porn. It begins to have no plot what so ever and the porn is badly written. I can actually hear the bam-chika-wow-wow theme when I read it. Gross!

I agree with you, Heather. I'm far too jealous to share my hubby with another woman, especially while I'm in the same room! And my husband doesn't even like when another man gets too close to me, and we've been married for almost 25 yrs! lol So I don't think there will be any menages happening in my reality anytime soon. he he he
However, unlike you, I can't read what I can't imagine doing myself. Once again I think its attributable to my hopeless romantic nature.
Moreover, I'm too much of a realist to suspend my belief in order to believe 2 men will be satisfied for the rest of their lives sharing one woman. I know it happens in real life, but I think most people will agree that most men are far too selfish to put themselves in that situation! LOL
