Megan Hi! My name is Megan. I'm 19, and I live in the United States. I had never read a single Nicholas Sparks book or seen one of the movies, but I wanted to see The Notebook. I'm the type of person who would prefer to read the book before watching the movie, so I read The Notebook and immediately fell in love.

My favorite Sparks book so far has been Safe Haven. I just finished At First Sight last night and that came really close to being my favorite.

I love Sparks so much because he really knows how to tell a story. As an aspiring novelist, I hope to one day write even half as well as he does.

To date, I've read 14 out of 18 Sparks books. I've borrowed those last 4 from my library's eBook section, so I'll be caught up in no time!

Jessica (JT) (jessicarugg23) Hi everyone! This is my first group on Goodreads and I'm excted to join a community!
My name is Jessica, I'm 22, and I live in the US by Chicago.
I started reading Nicholas Sparks book after I saw The Notebook with my best friend years ago. I loved the movie so I of course had to read the book. After that I started discovering other books by him and it has kind of become an obsession of mine to read each book and then see the movie.
The Last Song is currently my favorite book by him.

Angela (atruebornwriter) | 2 comments Hello everyone! I have actually joined this community for a while now, but I haven't exactly been active on anything on goodreads for a while now... I'm working on it.

My name is Angela, I'm 21 turning 22 in Feb. I live in Canada Ontario.

I first got introduced to Nicholas Sparks through the movie A Walk to Remember, that was also the first book I have ever read when I was younger. I am actually currently reading the choice, for maybe the third time in my life :P. I must say that my top two Sparks books would have to be "The Wedding" and "Safe Haven".

To be absolutely honest with all of you, I have also grown an inspiration for writing because of this man. I'm a pretty huge fan, myself.

Julia Greco (juliagreco) | 5 comments Hi! I'm Julia. 15 years old and I live in Canada!

I discovered Nicholas Sparks by watching some movies that were adaptations of his books. I first watched The Notebook, than The Last Song, and A Walk to Remember. I loved all these movies and knowing that they all were based on Nicholas Sparks books, and of course my love for reading, I decided to read some of his books. And now I just can't seem to stop.

My favourite book at the movie is tied between The Wedding and The Best of Me.

I love Nicholas Sparks because even though most people say his story lines are always the same I find that they all have their own special twist and feeling to them. Every book hits you in a different way. And I'm just weak when it comes to a beautiful love story.

Thanks and nice to meet you all :))))
Sorry if this is really long by the way☺️

Sarah | 3 comments Good Morning. I'm Sarah. Living in Melbourne, Florida, USA. I first watched A Walk To Remember, having a crush on the lead boy, Landon, not knowing it was a Nicholas Spark story. After watching the movie, loved it so much and couldn't stop thinking about, I borrowed the book and read it. I've been hooked on N.S since then. I admit I watched more of his movies, (Lucky One, Safe Haven, Dear John, etc.) than read the books but I couldn't stop myself from reading The Notebook after watching the movie. Again I didn't realize while watching the movie that it was a N.S. book.
This time around, I finished reading The Best of Me then, I'll watch the movie this weekend or something.

Melissa Madrid | 6 comments Hi My name is Melissa. My favorite book by Nicholas Sparks is The Notebook. The movie is also one of my all time favorites. I've read almost all of his books. I'm not a fan of the sadness in the books but the stories are well written and I love the romance. I'm amazed at how well people can write to keep us so entertained to where we can't wait to see what's on the next page.

Stephanie (stephanie_nichole) | 1 comments My name is Stephanie. I am 27 years old and I'm from a small town in New Mexico, USA.

I discovered Nicholas Sparks because someone had left a copy of The Notebook behind in one of the room at the hotel I worked at. Being the bookworm that I was the manager gave it to me after the waiting period. I was instantly hooked.

I think my favorite is either The Last Song or The Lucky One. I love Sparks because even in my least favorite book by him I still couldn't put it down. I like that his love stories have more of a realism to them than most. I also really love the fact that every time I read one of his books it gives me hope that someday I might find love myself.

Rayan Silva | 2 comments Hey everyone. My name is Rayan and I live in California, the bay area to specify. I just finished reading "the choice" which was such a great love story. I first discovered Sparks from A Walk to Remember. Then the notebook. I have seen every movie that has come out...but haven't read many books. So here I am!

the hundred-eyed human | 1 comments Hey!!! My name is Arpita Das and I am 14, from India.
I really love Sparks, he's a wizard of drastic love stories, he broke my heart several times and still I am searching for some missing pieces. I found him when I read A Walk to Remember, and it is my favorite book of all. I love it with all the shattered prices of my heart. And so I guess that's all.

Joey Jones (joeyjoneswriter) | 2 comments Hello, group! My name is Joey Jones and I am from North Carolina (United States). I have been a fan of Nicholas Sparks ever since I met him and read his debut novel, The Notebook. I've read nearly all of his books and watched most of the movies. The Notebook remains my favorite!

message 311: by Marcela (new)

Marcela Gray | 3 comments I agree, personally I think the best movie was The Notebook.

message 312: by [deleted user] (new)

My name is Danielle. My favorite book is a cliché but I really do not care, it's The Notebook, Dear John, Nights in Rodanthe, The Lucky One. I need to get and read Two By Two

message 313: by Crystal (new)

Crystal | 1 comments hello from Ohio!!!

My name is Crystal and I live in Ohio(go Buckeyes!!) and I am 39 (again) and I watched a Walk To Remember years ago and then The Notebook (read that book in 5 hours) and then saw Dear John. Loved it. trying to decide which one to read next.
I like the honesty in his books. there is no perfect world here. there are flawed characters with real probles that we can all relate to and lessons we can learn while reading aobut them. Favorite books so far are Safe haven and The Notebook

Annabelle Pederson (annabellepederson) My name is Annabelle and I’m 14 years old. I live in Zealand, Michigan USA.

I discovered Sparks from my mom when she told me I can start reading Sparks when I was 14. But now I will 15 soon so I have less restrictions on him 🤣. I bought 2 of his books from B&N...The Notebook and A Walk To Remember.

Well if I’m being honest, I’ve only read The Notebook. So that’s my favorite at the moment.

I love Sparks because I like the way he writes and I like his storylines.

Brittany Hopkins | 1 comments Hello everyone! I’m new to Goodreads! My name is Brittany and I’m a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks. Whenever I’m looking for new books, I’m always looking for another Nicholas Sparks novel. The Last Song is generally my favorite and I love the movie!

-your name, age and country
-How you discovered Sparks
-Which was your favorite book
-Why you love the Sparks so much.

*****

I'm Ron and I'm from the US.

I discovered Nicholas Sparks when I was 10 years old when the movie 'A Walk to Remember' was released. I saw the movie first and then discovered the books.

My favorite books are these top 3: The Lucky One, Safe Haven, A Walk to Remember.

I've never been able to understand why I love NS the way I do. I may not agree with his personal views, but I do appreciate and love his work. The way he writes is great. I absolutely adore the stories even if most of them end in tragedy, there's something so lovely about that trope. Plus his are the only books I ever really follow.

Books, Crooks, & Hooks (bookscrookshooks) | 1 comments Good morning/afternoon/evening! **NICHOLAS SPARKS VIRGIN ALERT!**** I haven't read a single NS novel, but I want to! What do you recommend as a first Spark?

-your name, age and country: Sara/47/USA
-How you discovered Sparks: I've been aware of him forever. I think I may have seen one movie based on a book. The one where the young pregnant woman lives in a Walmart at night? I don't remember the name, but I think it's based on a book by him?
-Which was your favorite book: TBD!
-Why you love the Sparks so much: TBD!

Kelli Meder | 1 comments Hi name is Kelli. I just recently started avidly reading again. I have read every sparks book besides 3 weeks with my brother, at first sight only because I didn’t love true believer but I’m thinking about it and I’m currently reading Counting Miracles. The last few years I haven’t had much time to read a lot but I’m back at it and super excited.
