Rmae | 7 comments Hi Everyone! My name's Lyn,20, from Philippines.
I joined this group for I'm really addicted to Sparks' novels! Hope that I'll find a lot of friends here!

I discovered Sparks' novel this year when one of my friend give me a copy of Dear John! I was really struck by the story that I searched for Nicky's other books and was surprised for I've just found out that he is also the author of A WALK TO REMEMBER (one of my favorite movies), I really don't have an idea that this movie is based on a novel.

I love Nicky's novels because they're represent real situations. They're touching and they leave some strange feeling in my heart.:)

Sandra (Sandra0312) | 1 comments Hi Sparks fans! My name is Sandra, I am 19 years old and from Germany.

I discovered Sparks when I saw "the notebook" the first time. It was pure coincidence that I saw this movie but after that I had to buy the book! After I finished reading the book just in one day I needed the next Sparks book and then the next book and the next... and now I have every book of him and I dont get bored when I read them for the fourth or fifth time ;)

My favorite books are The notebook (Of course, it was the one that made me a Sparks lover!), A Walk to Remember, The Guardian, The Choice, The Lucky One and Safe Haven. But actually all books have something special. :)

I love the novels because every time you can sympathizes with the characters and you get a real connection to the characters. And I just cry and the end of every novel! :D

Marla | 4 comments Welcome Antonello

Glad to see another Canadian here. My name is Marla and I live in rural Alberta. I have only read one of Nicholas Sparks books Dear John. I enjoyed it but have not gotten any more of his books. Where is your book available. I always try and buy Canadian authors so would like to take a look at yours.

message 259: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi Marla,
It is a pleasure meeting you. I recommend you buy his other books- i guarantee you will love them. If you're going to watch the movie, safe Haven, try to read the book first. I always prefer reading the book and then watch the movie version. Most of the time, I always prefer the book over the movie.

If you are a fan of mystery and thriller novels, then I am sure you will love my novel. James Patterson is my favorite author. As a result, my writing style is very similar as his. Here is the link to purchase a copy:

Hope to hear from you soon. Wishing you all the best!

Budi | 2 comments Budi, 23, Indonesia

I headed to bookstore around 3 years ago a day before my birthday, it was my 20th birthday. So I looked several English Novels and found Nicholas Sparks in the first place. So many titles of those i can't decide at all but my heart went to The Choice.. I never expected to buy it but something convinced me it was worth to take a shot from random novel i picked, so eventually i found myself-rewarded present..

My favorite so far The Choice. But I've bought The Best of Me, The Rescue, Safe Heaven, and The Guardian. I don't know which one i have to start first... Any suggestion?

why i love The Sparks.. Hmmm.. So far i read The Choice, it's real grown-up reading i ever have.. I am used to like tom clancy actually. But The Choice gave me abundant experiences how to live a life with every choice made. We might be wrong or right but always keep in faith then let the magic play then boom! miracles do happen. I like the ending of this book and love the way it swings my feeling's mood back-and-forth. Then I am obsessed with Nicholas Sparks, i start watching A Message in a Bottle, A walk to remember, dear john, The Lucky One. Then I love romance books. Buying The Choice is one of the choice I've been proud of.

Tina (trwriteratwork) Hi!

My name is Tanvi, I am 21 years old and I live in India. One of my best friends gifted me Safe Haven on my 20th birthday and since then, I've been a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks. I can't wait for Safe Haven (the movie) to release in India because the book was absolutely fantastic. I also liked The Rescue a lot and I'm currently reading The Best Of Me.

Sparks' novels appeal to me so much because he writes about the realities and struggles of life and yet, he makes the reader believe that there is hope if there is love.

I have also seen A Walk To Remember, The Last Song, The Notebook and The Lucky One and I really liked them - and soon, I will read the books too.

message 272: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Hi all! :)

My name is Michelle. I live in the North East of the United States. I have seen and love ALL Nicholas Sparks movies, not even realizing at the time that they were indeed all based on his novels! This past year, I purchased the novel, The Lucky One. Upon reading it, I purchased the DVD of the movie, as well. Because I enjoyed it so much, I purchased Safe Haven and read that at the very beginning of 2013. I received the Holiday Collection of books, featuring True Believer, At First Sight and A Bend In The Road, for Christmas and happy to say that I enjoyed them so much, I completed True Believer and At First Sight, in less than a week's time. I am looking forward to reading A Bend In The Road and seeing Safe Haven on the big screen in the near future! :)

I enjoy Nicholas Spark's movies, not only because I am a sucker for true love and romance stories, but because of the way his characters come alive as the story begins, which make the reader truly feel for them, as if they were real.

When I read Nicholas Spark's novels, I can't seem to put the book down without finding out what happens next. Yet, at the same time, I don't want to finish it because I enjoy it so much and feel a sense of sadness when I am finished.

message 273: by Andrea (new)

Andrea My name is Andrea. I'm 15 years old, and live in Pennsylvania! I discovered Spark's movies by watching The Notebook. I discovered his books in my public library about two years ago. So far I've read The Lucky One, The Last Song, and The Guardian. My favorite was The Last Song. I love Sparks so much because he gives me that warm feeling, and I feel nothing but happiness when reading his books.

The last song has been my favourite and i am now reading hi book 'Dear john' and till now i am loving it.
i hope i will read many more of him.

Rachel (Smelleykins) (smelleykins) Hi, I'm Rachel, very late twenties and from the UK.

I discovered Nicholas Sparks books, through randomly realizing that 'A Walk To Remember' was a book and that the film was adapted from it. Rather than an original release. I wanted to then read the book to compare. The film is one of my favourites ever.

Oh gosh my favourite book of his has to be 'Safe Haven' and 'The Choice' so far. I've been reading a lot of his books and I'm slowly getting my way through them all. So this is most likely to change.

I think Nicholas writes fantastic, he knows what he is good at and doesn't try to be anything other than what we read.I love that although you know what you're getting with his books, its' still unpredictable.

xx

I'm reading A Fist Sight right now, I finished Safe Haven last month, I always cry with every book. I don`t have just one favorite book, every book has something special that make me love it

Let my say I'm sorry, my English is not so good, I'm good reading and listening but I'm really bad writing it.

Jessica | 1 comments Hi! I am Jessica. I am 28. I live in Columbus Ohio USA
I never really read Nicholas Sparks's books until I picked up Safe Haven before the movie came out. Now I can't seem to get enough. Luckily for me (and my wallet) there is a book store that sells general paper backs for $1! They must have got a dump because I was able to find mostly all of them!

I have only read 3 (Safe Haven, At First Sight and starting The Lucky One right now.) So of those my favorite is Safe Haven.

I like him because alot of times you read a book and you don't really feel anything. With him you are "reading a few chapters" and before you know it it's 4 am and you are sitting in bed crying your eyes out. I like authors that make you feel and think.

I will be on vacation in North Carolina the day his new book comes out. I am trying to convince my boyfriend that I "need" to drive an hour to get my book signed lol. So far he isn't biting :-/

message 291: by Aishee (new)

Aishee | 6 comments Hi,I'm Aishee from Calcutta.

My dear sister had first introduced me Nicholas Sparks two years ago. She had read 'A Walk To Remember' and couldn't stop praising it and biting my years off. So I decided to give the book a try and I was immediately drawn into Jamie and Landon's story. the sorrow, the honesty and the love in the novel made me cry. It made me look at life in a different way, made me want to hope & dream. Now, I've read most of his books yet my tears betray me. To me, he is the king of romance. Nicholas Sparks sprinkles sparks on his stories

message 292: by Evita (new)

Evita | 1 comments Hello everyone ^_^
My name is Evita, i am 25 years old and i am from the city of Heraklion in Crete, Greece.

I first came across with Nicola's Sparks stories with Notebook. I watched the movie without really knowing that it was based on a book. I fell in love with the story and i ended up watching it about 5 times. After watching it for the last time i found myself wanting more of it so i went on and watched the film once more but with the director's comments along the way this time and as i finished it i saw that there was another version with author's comments and that's when i really noticed there was a book behind this movie. I bought the book almost the same day and read it in one day. I already knew the story but the book made me experience t all in a whole new level.
So after reading The Notebook i decided to look what other books Nicholas Sparks has and i ended up buying A Walk To Remember and Dear John. I loved both books, they made me laugh and cry (maybe crying more) and i was so into them while reading that i couldn't let the story behind for at least two days after i finished each book..

I discover Nicholas Sparks several years ago. The first book I read was "Message in a bottle" and I loved... The strange was that I hadn't any curiosity in watching the movie, but after reading I had to see... Also loved it, but there were many differences.

I have all his books, including this last one called "the longest ride", which I liked, but is not my favorite.

You see, when I like the author usually I buy all his books.... Love reading, the book sometimes is my only company!!!!
