message 8101: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments I don't necessarily enjoy them, but they do need to get done, so I think nothing of it.

TPBM actually knows somebody with the last name Gallows.

message 8102: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) No, but it's an interesting name.

TPBM thinks that there's nothing un-intellectual about metal music.

message 8103: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments I agree wholeheartedly. We all need to get our primal urges out, so why not do it with heavy metal?

TPBM actually knows somebody with the first name Wacey.

message 8104: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I can't say I've ever heard of that name.

TPBM despises the sizing system of women's clothing.

message 8105: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments I don't wear women's clothing, so I wouldn't know. Hehehehe!

TPBM enjoys the music of James Blunt despite his high-pitched voice.

message 8106: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments Yes. Very true Garrison

TPBM is having a relaxing Memorial Day.

message 8107: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I don't know if I'd call it relaxing, but it's certainly been fun :)

TPBM is currently packing for a trip.

message 8108: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I don't have any trips planned until later this month. But I have two friends who have been invited to perform on Broadway and are packing for NY. (Yay for living vicariously)

TPBM is frequently amazed at how talented their friends are.

message 8109: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments My brother is an awesome drummer and cook. Does that count?

TPBM wonders why people use the letter X to pair two things together (examples include an anime show called “Hunter X Hunter”, a videogame called “Street Fighter X Tekken”, and a professional wrestler named “Shelton X Benjamin”).

message 8110: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I have not, but it is an interesting question. I wonder if the answer might be found in Sign After the X, which is all about the letter X and its use. See http://marinaroy.ca/sign_after_the_x....

TPBM has actually begun reading an unusual autobiography for the first time in a long time.

message 8111: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments It's a long time in between reading sessions, but I'm currently reading "A Lion's Tale" by WWE wrestler Chris Jericho. Good stuff. Funny as hell!

TPBM has at least one celebrity that he or she gets compared to (I’ve been compared to John Candy and Louie Anderson).

message 8112: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) I've been compared to Sheldon Cooper personality-wise, but not an actor.

TPBM has read a book where you're not sure how to pronounce a character's name, so in your head they're pretty much Asdfghjk.

message 8113: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Yes! I do that all the time! It makes it so hard to talk to other people about the book when you can't pronounce any of the character's names.

TPBM has a go-to book that they recommend to others purely because a character's death was so well-written that it left them emotionally devastated for days.

message 8114: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments If we're talking about death, we have to talk about "The Fault in Our Stars" a.k.a. the book that made my mom cry. Get your tissue box ready. You're going to need it.

TPBM once referred to internet baby-talk as “Google-Ga-Ga”.

message 8115: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I have not. But it sounds like the beginning of a song.

TPBM enjoys making unusual infusions by combining teas and herbal blends.

message 8116: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments It sounds cool, but I don't think I'd have the time or money to make that a hobby.

TPBM finished a book this morning.

message 8117: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I guess 12:00 a.m. Is technically morning, so yes! :)

TPBM is currently looking for a new job.

message 8118: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments Not at the moment. Every time I apply for a job, I always get turned down.

TPBM prefers to say “haha” or “hehe” instead of LOL or LMAO.

message 8119: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Yes! I always read 'lol' and 'lmao' phonetically and get really confused, even though I know what they stand for. (La-mow' does't really sound like an expression of hilarity, for some reason) :)

TPBM has very strong opinions on living room lighting.

message 8120: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Not particularly. But I certainly have strong opinions on color schemes.

TPBM wants to go swimming today.

message 8121: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments Not today. Maybe some other time, but I spent a lot of time out in public today, so I need to recharge.

TPBM has donated books or movies to a library before.

message 8122: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I never knew you could do that! I usually go for saver's when I'm in a donating mood, but a library would be really awesome...

TPBM is generally very aware of their limits of social energy for the day, and will make or change plans accordingly.

message 8123: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Definitely! Most people in my circle of friends, save for a few fellow introverts, are major extraverts. So when I make plans with them, I have to schedule to me between activities to recharge.

TPBM has to get an xray.

message 8124: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments Nope though I do probably need an examination doctor-wise. I have been worried about my eyes (a car accident that left me with a few things including possibly partially detached retinas as I experience split-second blindness at times) so I hope to really soon see a doc for that......

TPBM has medical things to do this week (physical, etc.).

message 8125: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I had to get my vaccinations caught up to date and a TB test for my housing paperwork, but that's about it

TPBM sometimes waits years before reading a book because a characters death was so devastating

message 8126: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments The most heartbreaking death I've read about was in the memoir "Dewey" by Vicki Myron. The titular library cat got old and had to be put down. The library started to decline afterwards. Having said these things, no, I didn't wait a whole year to read another book after "Dewey".

TPBM wants to read Marilyn Manson’s 1999 memoir “The Long Hard Road Out of Hell”.

message 8127: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments "The beautiful people! The beautiful people! It's all relative to the size of your steeple!" Yeah, that sounds about right. Hehe!

TPBM was introduced to Pink Floyd’s music by his or her parents.

message 8128: by Jenn (last edited Jun 10, 2016 02:01PM) (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) No, I don't listen to them. Pink Floyd, I mean. I listen to my parents.

TPBM either likes to read only one book at a time, or is always reading at least two.

message 8129: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments The only time I read multiple books simultaneously is when I agree to do an honest review for an author friend while still having a book that I read for strictly pleasure. I once had to read three books at the same time.

TPBM once read a novel based on a videogame.

message 8130: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments No, though I've heard that the 'Gears of War' novels are pretty good, so I'm considering reading them :)

TPBM enjoys learning about the stories and lore of video games, but doesn't actually play them.

message 8131: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I guess so? But probably only because some of my friends are really into video games.

TPBM has exercised at least once this week.

message 8132: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) In the form of walking.

TPBM agrees that checking the time on your phone in the middle of the night is like suddenly staring into the face of an angry sun god.

message 8133: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments Actually, my days have been peaceful and quiet, just the way I like them. :)

TPBM lives in a town or city with a lot of traffic jams.

message 8134: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments The closest thing to a traffic jam we ever have is when a slow tractor decides to hog the road for a while... :)

TPBM finds the idea of living in a small apartment vaguely fun or romantic.

message 8135: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments I used to think that until I found out that I couldn't play my music without other tenants hearing it.

TPBM enjoys the song “You Can Call Me Al” by Paul Simon.

message 8136: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I thoroughly enjoy You can call me Al! And the CD it is on, Graceland.

TPBM enjoyed the follow-up album to Graceland, called The Rhythm of the Saints even more then Graceland.

message 8137: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments So far, so good! Paul Simon is truly a wonderful musician. Plus, I love the capoeira sequence at the beginning of the video for "Obvious Child". Capoeira is such an underappreciated martial art. Plus, it makes good creative fuel for my dark fantasy stories. :)

TPBM once thought about working for a newspaper or magazine publisher.

message 8138: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments No but my mom has. I wish she would get to do it again for the local news since she has a degree and feels like she has nothing to offer in life. I keep encouraging her to get back to it!

TPBM thinks of their self as a freelance writer.

message 8139: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments Absolutely. I'm not bound by a publishing company, so I pretty much write my own rules when it comes to my craft.

TPBM once considered using a combination of his or her first and middle name as a pseudonym for writing (if I did this my penname would be Garrison David).

message 8140: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments When I first joined the WSS, that actually is what I did. I signed all my stories off as Angie Dueñas.

TPBM has more than 3 names.

message 8141: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments I do. My real life name is Garrison David Haines-Temons.

TPBM actually knows somebody with the first name Zell aside from the “Final Fantasy VIII” character.

message 8142: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (last edited Jun 13, 2016 12:15PM) (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments Nope.

-----
Oops, Adrian posted before mine.

Yes I agree wholeheartedly about paper-cuts. Yee-ouch!!!

------

TPBM wished they met a person who would cosplay as Sephiroth ("FF VII").

message 8143: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments I'd love to dress like Sephiroth, but I don't have the clothes or sewing skills to pull it off. If I wanted to accurately cosplay someone, it would be a Calcobrena doll from Final Fantasy IV now that I got my head shaved.

TPBM has been called “cuddle-bear” before.

message 8144: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Lol! Not even close, albeit other sillier names.

TPBM hashad some unexpected free time tonight because an event was canceled at the last minute.

message 8145: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments Maybe not tonight, but on Saturday my Slipknot X Marilyn Manson concert was moved to August due to Corey Taylor (Slipknot's lead singer) having spinal surgery. I got a lot of stuff done that night.

TPBM once gave an erotic novel to someone for a Valentine’s Day present.

message 8146: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) If I've ever even seen one in person, I didn't notice.

TPBM behaves almost germaphobically towards people they don't like but gets coughed on by friends and doesn't care.

message 8147: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I'm usually whatever the exact opposite of a germaphobe, whoever I'm with. I really hate being touched by people I don't like, though :)

TPBM often has strangers come up to them and start talking for no apparent reason.

message 8148: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Yes, but I usually assume that they're just extroverts.

TPBM is an introvert who enjoys being around extroverts.

message 8149: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10163 comments As long as I don't have to engage in too much small talk, yes, that would be fine.

TPBM wants to see the Angry Birds movie.

message 8150: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments There's a movie? I really put Patrick Star to shame!

TPBM has a published piece of writing.
