I read a book as a teenager which I am trying to remember the title of.
The plot was that a member of a spaceship crew was left behind on Earth, which was a very regimented society, while his brother stayed with the ship. He knew that he would never see his brother again because of the relativistic differences in time that space travel involved. He joined a rebellion, which was trying to develop a new space drive technology, which was finally successful, which allowed him to meet his brothers' ship someplace.
That is what I remember of the book. I am not sure of the author or anything, though I read a lot of Heinlein, Clarke, and other authors at that time. I do know it was not Heinlein's book about the telepathic brothers. It would have been in print as of the late 70's or so. Thanks for any thoughts!
