Amara jumped the short stairs and ran over to a dark door,"This way." She glanced at Muse,"you don't want to know."

Muse shrugged. "I do, but whatever."

Salem pushed against the door.

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

Amara glanced back...,"No really you don't."

Inside was a long hallway. "Portal"

[Ky, DON'T.]

Muse shrugged.

Salem looked at it and then at Amara, coldness seeping into her voice. "Where to?"

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

Amara bit her lip,"The past."

[Ky, DON'T.]

Muse's eyes widened just the smallest bit. "what?"

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

"The past...," she opened the door on the other side of the hallway.

[Ky, DON'T.]

"I heard you," he said simply.

Salem looked dark. "He means 'why'?"

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

"I know he does....but....it's hard to explain why," she said looking down.

[Ky, DON'T.]

"Well, give it a go," Salem said.

Muse didn't say a thing.

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

She nodded and entered through the door.

Muse followed her and Salem stepped behind them 'because she felt like it'. Right.

Suddenly the world was different,"My parents are still alive and Blade will be even more dangerous."

"More dangerous than now?"

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

"Compared to this he is tamed in the future...he doesn't yet know how to control himself...therefore becoming.....just....just........it'll be hard to do anything....but I think he and Granny have entered the past as well....so.....I don't really know. I think either way he will know us. He will be younger.....and more deadly."

Salem briefly wondered if they'd still have the connection they had in the 'future'.

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

Amara sighed,"But Salem.....yours will be different....he's "claimed" you in the future....so....his "claim" is still on you. He'll recognize it immediately."

[Ky, DON'T.]

Muse raised his eyebrows.

Salem looked at Amara. "Alright."

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

She shied away,"Sorry....," it'll only be for a brief moment. ((I think something awesomely cool should happen while they are in the past...or something bad...what do you think it should be?))

"What do you mean?" Muse asked.

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

She looked at them both,"I lied........this is actually the future....and there are some things here that you may not want to see."

"Amara. Why would you lie?" Salem frowned at her, eyes hard.

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

"Because I didn't know at first....but then I......just realized," she said sadly.

[Ky, DON'T.]

"So you didn't lie, Amara. It was an honest mistake."

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

"Yeah...it was an expression," she said flashing a wide painful smile.

Salem shook her head, slightly amused. "So where exactly are we supposed to be?"

She nodded,"The lab rats have been working to bring him back....by this time he will be."

Muse looked slightly alarmed.

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

She looked up at the sun,"Blade....we have to find Blade...and Granny....provided they are not....dead."

[Ky, DON'T.]

"They can't be dead," she said simply. "I can feel Blade."

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

Nodding she started to walk,"We may have to do some fighting....I can feel something drawing near....Blade isn't dead....but they could be locked within the lab cells."

[Ky, DON'T.]

Muse had a hard time picturing Blade and Gramma locked up.

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

Suddenly the sky turned red and blast of light lit up the sky. Something hit the ground in an explosion. "They were waiting for us!!!" She yelled,"Let's go!!!" She started to run.

[Ky, DON'T.]

Muse and Salem easily kept pace, one more than the other. Salem looked furious and determined.

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

((Hmmmmm.......I think....someone should die.))

Suddenly Amara screamed in blood curdling pain. She fell onto the floor. She struggled to breath gasping for air.

[Ky, DON'T.]

((dying is wonderful. Sometimes.))

Muse dropped to his knees beside her and picked her up before standing and dashing off again. Salem hadn't stopped, knowing Muse would.

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

Amara had a piece of paper in her hands. There was a large gash in her side. Blood drained from it pooling in her clothing and in his arms. She began to fade.

[Ky, DON'T.]

"Amara," he whispered brokenly. "Amara...stay with me."

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

With all the strength she had left she put a piece of paper in his hands....the way to the lab. She felt the last bit of her breath pass away before she was still.

Baradon laughed,"Direct hit." His eyes lit up with hatred. "Now let's see if they will fight."

[Ky, DON'T.]

Salem snatched it from Muse and committed it to memory in case anything happened to it. She shoved it in her pocket and looked at Muse. "She's gone. We have to hurry."

Muse looked down at his fiancee with intimate sadness and kissed her cheek gently.

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

Baradon yelled,"Hey? Just lost something precious......I know you are there Blade!!! Come out come out wherever you are....and Linda...Dear Linda....I've just killed your granddaughter...what are you going to do about it?"

[Ky, DON'T.]

Salem saw him after a moment and her silver eyes narrowed. "So you're Baradon," she said lazily, as if he were nothing more important than bread.

[Jamie, SPARKLE.]

He grinned and winked,"Of course and you are the infamous Salem...I've heard so much about you....is it true that you are Blade's mate?"

[Ky, DON'T.]

"What do you think?" she asked him, flexing her fingers by her sides.

"I think you are the low life brat that crawled through the lab tunnels screaming in fear a few years back.....and Blade.....heh....I won't even go there," he winked at her.

Salem's eyes were hard like steel. "I don't feel fear. But I'm annoyed right now."
