Granny walked down the stairs,"Salem...Blade...where are you?"

Salem would've chased after him if she hadn't heard Granny Linda. But just because she heard the woman didn't mean she was going to answer.

Granny walked down,"Salem....Blade....Salem get your butt in this house...or I shall drag you here myself."

Blade walked in from the kitchen.

She scowled and walked in slowly, really taking her own sweet time. Salem used the front door.

Granny was looking at her funny,"There are some news that.....your mother...has been captured by the vampire council...she is going to die...do you want to see her before that?"

Salem's eyes widened fractionally, but that was her only outwatd change. "Yes."

She grimaced, just slightly. "My mother was your best friend?"

She nodded,"That is why I took her...or rather I was given you...because she requested it...she was my best friend I had known her for years...but...she..."

Salem held up her hand, eyes closed. "Just stop."

He walked out to a black sports car.

Salem got into the passenger seat without a word and didn't bother to buckle her seatbelt.

Blade didn't use his head. His mind buckled her seat for her, Hold tight.

She scowled at the seatbelt getting fastened. "Hold tight to what? The seat? Right."

Blade hit the gas. The car lurched forward and started to his speed at 209....he didn't slow. He passed every car there could be.

Salem laughed. Talk about a joyride!

The ride was smooth though fast and he spun doing donuts and all that was needed to get to the place on time. Even the police had a hard time keeping up with them....he excelled to 360.

"Do this often?" Salem chuckled.

He looked at her, They are used to me by now...they only try to see if they can catch me as a game of skill for entertainment

He started walking and then stopped. He blockd her way with his back. An old cryptic man staggered in,"Who gooooooes there?" The old man was scary beyond all reason. Blade covered her, Let me pass.

Salem didn't move, not scared, but curious.

The man looked up and put on some huge glasses,"HOLY!!! IT'S YOU....GIVE ME A KISS YOU HANDSOME!!!"

Blade pushed the old man out of the way, HEll NO. He snapped.

The man nodded,"You may pass.....and please...the leader of us all....come again...."

She smirked, amused by the old man's greeting to Blade. Aw, but he wants a kiss.

He pulled Salem around him and in front of him as he walked so that the old man couldn't see him...he didn't say anything...but anger was burning from him.

No...that's why it isn't funny. he said darkly....but he had just saved her from something she had no idea could have happened if that old man would have seen her.
