Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Done with To Pleasure a Lady (Courtship Wars, #1) by Nicole Jordan .. This was my first book by NJ, and an enjoyable read:-) The main obstacle to the HEA was the lack of trust between the H/h.. So not 5 stars because of that(I like more of an edge to my romances), but a definite 4 stars, and I'm looking forwards to reading Roslynn and Drew's story (I'll get to it this weekend):-)

Thanks for the rec Noelle:-)

Man your a fast reader! LOL
I really loved Mr.Perfect when I read it, the fight scene out front of the h's house was too funny.
I have read a few of Nicole Jordan books a few years ago and can't remeber why I stoped buying her books. There had to be one I didn't like but who knows, I'll have to give her another try.

Kathy Anne (kathyanne) Wow ,you must read at the speed of light Melanie, most of her books are pretty thick so you must have been smokin-thanks for letting us know how it was

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I need a great romance! It has to be light and happy, with a super sexy hero. I'm good with historical romance, erotic romance and romantic suspense.

The first books that came to mind when you said light and happy were Julie Garwood books, but I saw on your shelf that you've already read the best ones! So, the second author that came to my head was Julia Quinn. The most hilarious and most romantic, IMO, is What Happens in London. It's the second in the Bevelstoke books, but you definitely don't need to have read the first book to understand this one. The only character that really carries over is the heroine.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Thank you, Megan! I have that book so I'll grab it next!!!

And actually, I've read ALL of Garwood's historicals. I LOVE THEM!

I hope you enjoy it!

Garwood is my all-time favorite!! Her contemporaries aren't too bad, either...there are a couple duds, but I enjoy the family as they're descendants of the Buchanans! They don't really have the magic of her early books, though. I wish she could find that magic again.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Has anyone read Jennifer Ashley's Highlanders?

message 68: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I read Highlander Ever After (Nvengaria, #3) by Jennifer Ashley and it was so-so.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Thanks, Carolyn. What about the first 2 books, have you read those?

message 70: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. No this is the only I had about the highlander books.

Ok, thanks for the info!

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Ah, help! Don't know what to read next - Any suggestions?

Written on Your Skin by Meredith Duran In Bed With the Devil (Scoundrels of St. James, #1) by Lorraine Heath Texas Glory (Texas Trilogy, #2) by Lorraine Heath Only By Your Touch by Catherine Anderson Simply Love by Catherine Anderson Hounded (Iron Druid Chronicles, #1) by Kevin Hearne Bewitching Season (Leland Sisters, #1) by Marissa Doyle Marked (Eternal Guardians, #1) by Elisabeth Naughton Cherish by Catherine Anderson It Had to Be You (Chicago Stars, #1) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips Corralled (Blacktop Cowboys, #1) by Lorelei James

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Looks like some great choices there, Melanie. I loved the Texas Trilogy, and I've heard great things about Written on Your Skin and In Bed with the Devil, too. I have It Had To Be You, but haven't read it yet.

Corralled was ok, but not up to the same level as her Rough Riders. I liked the second book better.
