What are you reading in May 2010?

I'm reading Ships of Merior, next is The Second Coming, Jane Eyre (for another book club), Nation. Next in the pile on my table is the Foreigner trilogy by C.J.Cherryh. Hope I can read it without too much trouble as the only format available is Mass Market Paperback and I usually have trouble reading the small print.

And Kimela, I'm in the same boat, discovering books I've never heard of. So far I'm thrilled and haven't been at all disappointed! Except with The Warded Man. I didn't finish that one, finding the characters too one dimensional to care what happened to them.

After revisiting Richard Peck's wonderful historic fiction for teens (The Teacher's Funeral, etc.) I picked up Fool Moon, by Jim Butcher. Grave Peril is next. He's guy writing for guys, yes, but he has a bit of wry humor and some inventive special effects and magical technologies that I like. And Harry Dresden is a very likeable wizard.

I'm reading The Wheel of Nuldoid by Russ Woody. I've only just started it (page 15) but so far it reminds me a lot of Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl books.

Kenneth, I quite enjoyed Storm Front. I decided to give these books (I bought the second one after finishing the first) a try because SciFi Channel did a 'one season' of shows based on the Dresden Files. While I'm rather vague on the particulars of the show (i.e., did they follow the book) I found Harry to be quite the intriguing fellow and the world to have some interesting twists.

I am now reading Under Heaven. I'm 131 pages in and finding it to be quite good.

Just finished Song in the Silence by Elizabeth Kerner last night. I really loved that one and can't wait to finish up the trilogy. I actually probably will start up the next book The Lesser Kindred and read it along with The Emerald Storm, which I'm working on. I really don't mind reading multiple books at once. :P

The show is available to watch instantly on Netflix. I just added it to my queue. I'll let you know how it is when I watch it.

Thanks for the info Shannon. I subscribe to Netflix so if I can find time I'll check them out. I'm not even sure if I saw all of them when SciFi aired them. Might have been on at a bad time.

I watched it when it was on before I even knew there were books. Was disappointed when it got canceled.

I just finished the Casting Trilogy series by Pamela Freeman
Because the story has so many different characters viewpoints I found myself skipping and readying the story of the main characters, then going back and reading all the other stories.

I just finished up Assassin's Apprentice and the rest of the trilogy by Robin Hobb, and the new Rangers Apprentice book. Now I am going back to the Codes Alera; on book 4.
