same as me Robin- I switch between one at a time- then suddenly I am reading 4 or 5 at a time (like now)- love reading and recommending James Mason Member Writer books! Too many great books do not get the attention they deserve

This tends to get in the way though cause if I'm reading something for school I don't like to read anything else because it might affect how well I can remember the school reading.

I just jump back and forth. I have three history books going right now...one a Vietnam memoir, one about the American Revolution, and one on medieval Japan.
I can't read just one.
Edit...just finished the Vietnam memoir. Now I'm reading Audie Murphy's memoir.

My TBR pile is big too. I got a massive amount of books from the RWA conference last year and I can't stop buying books for 1.00.
I think I might be a book-a-holic.
Oh, and they're all paperbacks. I still love to hold books in my hands. Call me old fashioned and I'm fine with that :o)
I used to read only one book at a time but now I generally read two at a time. I usually have a physical book that I'll read at home but when I'm out and about I'll read a different book on my nook.

PS- Love Barnes N Noble
interesting how I switch back and forth- sometimes reading 3-4 books at a time- then for weeks- just a single book at a time-

Is this a trick question?"
no- more like a "how many books do you feel like reading at the moment" question

sounds like a great plan to me- I switch off- sometimes reading a single book- other times reading up to 4 books at a time-fun to go from a modern thriller to a Victorian classic!

I might just have to try two books at a time. Living life on the wild side.

haha- go for it S!

Most times I have three or four books going but there are rare moments, rare books to be more precise that like you, keep me so entranced with the story that nothing else could take me away!
But it is nice to take a break sometimes from a book so you should definitely try it sometime S!

sometime i read multible books, mostly just 2 or 3
or ill read just one
I think it depends on how good a book is, or much i want to read the books

Always three or more at a time. Glutton? Maybe. I crave change and flavor. :)

Sonia, I'm with you on that. I always have at least three going at the same time. Usually a nonfiction about whatever my current interest is or a biography. I also have a dog book going at all times and generally a fiction that is a light read for pure enjoyment. Sometimes I'll have a volume of short stories going at the same time. And since I have a nook, I usually have something I'm reading on it. Can't help myself - I love reading!!!
