First Sentences
We need more of these so we'll be able to vote on something decent.
"Three things happened simultaneously: the soft, warm curve of a woman's bare ass tucked enticingly against Zakary Stark's good-morning-happy-to-feel-you erection, the familiar gut-wrenching realization that she was the wrong woman, and the cold hard metal of a gun barrel pressed to his temple."
That actually made me want to put aside the last Otherworld book to see what was going to happen.

That actually made me want to put aside the last Otherworld book to see what was going to happen.
This is how bad I've gotten:
I see a naked dude in the jungle on the cover and I immediately assume it's a cat shifter of some kind. Should have read the excerpt. Not looking supernatural so far. =) Not that I mind, but it took me a minute when something happened and I'm thinking "Why didn't he just shift?" Poor humans.
It seems interesting so far. Hopefully it ends strong.

What is it about ledges? These two just happened to pop up at the same time.

Another one with a good first paragraph. It finishes, "The second time? Not so much."

"Brady Miller's ideal Saturday was pretty simple - sleep in, be woken up by a hot, naked woman for sex, followed by a breakfast that he didn't have to cook."

Ha! That's a good reason to.
