Does anyone else besides me hate Harry Potter?

Then I haven't seen them then. I don't go and search for books butchering stuff...I just happen to be unlucky enough to pick it up. Zombies is something I don't see a lot of, so I don't see them butchered as badly as vampires, angels, and demons.

Nah not movies. XD I don't watch movies at all really. I'm more of a TV show person. But hell I bet movies have butchered tons of things lately.
i cant watch a movie before i read a book. i just cant do it.
I love this series. One of my very good friends really doesn't like it. That's okay. People have different opinions. But you really can't pester people to try to convince them to hate something if they don't. Case closed.
I've done that with books before, since I had a couple years where I was sick of reading books...since my English class butchered my brain with tons of reading assignments.

I really don't see why you must attack the Harry Potter series in public. It is perfectly fine not to enjoy fantasy. But don't take it out on a certain book just because you can't be bothered to actually read the book.
I cant understand how anyone cannot like HP... I mean, I know people have different opinions and stuff, but to hate HP? no, no, no, NOOOO
What I don't understand is why this was even put up in the first place. If you don't like Harry Potter, why join a group about it? Are you starving for attention and need a good long fight about whether Harry Potter is good or not? At any rate, that's not important. What is important is that it stops. No one needs to fight, okay? I know there are fanatics that will carry this on forever, and people who don't like the book that will do the same. Based on the fact that there are over 2,000 posts, I'd say this is what's happening.
Can't we all just agree to disagree? Leave the subject alone? Everyone's entitled to their opinion whether it matches yours or not. I say this shoud stop right here.

I COMPLETELY AGREE!Goodreads is a place to share ideas and discuss books. It's not a place for cussing, arguing, or getting mad. We need to respect others opinions and open our eyes to new ones. There is no need for calling people idiots. I think its ok to dissagree. Just dont get mad about it and hurt peoples feeling. Lets come together and celebrate the goodness of rEaDiNg!!!!!

nope not me. a low chance on thursday though. i usually HATE it , but we havent had any yet. which is like...unheard of. last year it snowed before HALLOWEEN! HALLOWEEN! i mean...that's just plane wrong. but this year, i like, "come on white christmas! Where are you!"
ok,look people i am reading this series and yes,i do enjoy it. But WHY do you have to go ON AND ON about how much you HATE something when its just an opinion that less then half of the people on here will even listen to you? i agree that you should express your opinions but WHY should you when its SO negative? and by the way, this website is called "Good Reads" not "Say how terrible this book is" stop acting like a 9 year old.

sorry Shanawaz, you're right. I'd just made the assumption that they were all over an age where they'd have had their first sex ed class at school. I mean, I was 9 when I had my first one.

Another hater...and too long to understand. Oh yeah 1st book is 200+ pages...so long. And I had my first sex ed class when I was 8...so yeah.
I think we can reasonably assume that everyone here knows what male and female genetalia look like.
There are so many crude people, and anonymity only brings out the worst in them. They seem to sabotage every on-line discussion. I'm done.
