I love that you say calling real idiots, idiots, won't impact them at all. How true. Sometimes I feel like people don't like successful books/movies/people, just because they are successful.

I at first when I heard about Harry Potter thought it was stupid at the time but once I read the first book I was hooked. Have you actually read the whole series? Rowling got millions of kids to read when her series came out.

As far as the Harry Potter series goes, I can't say I hate it, but I can't say I really like it either, at least on a whole. I found the first three, maybe four, to be pretty good reads, but then the fifth struck me as so awful that I just dropped the whole series. I also don't really get why it's so popular, either. So many people treat it like the best books on earth, when in truth I've seen the basic setup in loads of other YA fantasy books, and half the time the other books did it just as good if not better, too. It's just... Mediocre, I guess.

My opinion about Harry Potter is that some of the books are good but also some could have been written better. J.K. Rowling could have wrote it better but she is still one of my favorite authors. Just because one book could have been bad doesn't mean the whole series is.

I used to work in a book shop, and every time a new potter book published, we would HAVE to open at midnight so all the little kids could have thier fix. I made myself a promise, that when all 9 movies were released, I would read all 7 books. Well I made it through the first 4 1/2 books. I simply realized that she was getting paid by the word. Can you say crappola, I can!
