Does anyone else besides me hate Harry Potter?

J.K. Rowling has made afortune out of Harry Potter, and she deserves it! The HP series is full of good messgaes like to be true and loyal with your friends. It tells you to stand up for who you are and not who other people want to be. Anyone who hates Harry Potter hates me.

well...i am reading this post after SOOOO long today, and i didnt find any real reason for people who HATE this book...c'mon guys...just cuz this book is popular, doesnt mean u start hating it???

LOL....you are so funny. You kept going on with numbers of haters, yet can not provide any valid numbers of them. You asked me to provide my fact and I did. After that you came to such nonsense by insisting a 'headache' possibly number of haters. Come one Kimberly! .... How is Harry Potter wrong and useless? Are you one of those idiots who are afraid of witchract? It isn't real. I don't see anything wrong with the series, the books are wonderful in my eyes. They're well-written, and entertaining. They got kids to read, to, and maybe it taught them something good. And the series made books cool again. Before Harry Potter, the book world was rather stagnant, and populated by classics kids have a hard time relateing to. Now, the YA and children's books provide more variety than ever, and some of that can be owed to the series. It got kids to read.

Harry Potter is a wonderful series and has been a starting point for many fantasy books out there. Harry Potter is also the most well known series out there. For those who hate Harry Potter that is your opinion, but please give a valid justification to why and don't base it on the movies because they are totally different from the books.

There is nothing wrong of not responding to the rest of your comment. They are simply blah blah blah. You still can not provide anything from the haters' number.
And by the way...the initial subject was submitting because the reader wanted to know if there are any other readers share the feeling. It did not say anything about there are big number of haters and the reader wanted to find more here.
You claimed to have millions of haters, ones who feel the same with you. Just provide me with that or admit that you have nothing. Simple as that.

Ooops...Millions. I don't care about spelling error. I did and do not hate you because you hate HP series. I think I only dislike any claims without valid proofs.
It always irritates me.
I apologise if I have somehow offended you. Sometimes when I felt so funny I wrote my comment about that fact right away.

We have HP lovers community in Indonesia but so far I can not find any dislikers or haters. Our government set a serious regulation about foreign movies. We can not watch any foreign movies since January 2011. But due to great numbers of HP avid readers and movie fans' petition, our government let HP last movie entered Indonesia in August.
Way to many comments without me. Way to many.

I think this is one of my favorite series. I agree. The world is filled with idiots if everyone who hated Harry Potter was an idiot. I've read every book and seen every movie and can safely say these movies and books are some of my favorite things. People have different tastes in books but there's no need to be rude about it.
Can't find any disliker or hater up to this moment. 1 person even looked at me incredulously for asking such question. She shared my feeling that it is an impossible case to dislike HP series. I think we love HP series here.

those of you who are yelling at them for saying they don't like the harry potter books obviously don't believe in exspressing ones opinions. I am one of the few young people today that have read the works of great writers such as moby dick, time machine, anthem, the legend of sleepy hollow, etc. Where has good literature gone?????
I have almost 3000 lovers from 1 HP group in Indonesia...:)I asked a teenager community a simple question "Do you hate Harry Potter?" and they responded back with "Are u mad? Why would anyone hate HP?"
I think anyone who has access to TV or Theaters in Indonesia knows HP and love them. But we are not alone. We have readers who share our feeling and scored out 450 millions of HP books sold out and Tickets' sale of $7,477,650,915 worldwide.

We do not love every movie that we watch. Sometimes movies that gain more money in US fail to accomplish it here. And it was only HP 7 part 2. We did watch and love the rest of them...:)
harry potter is one of the best books ive read.im 11 and i wish i had read it sooner!

Surely I do not love all of the movies. I went to watch Rowan Atkinson movies and regretted it regardless his genius acting. I also find Jason Statham latest movies are quite disappointing. slapstick movies like Vampires Suck is surely out of question.

I can pretty much copy & paste my response to the Harry Potter haters directly from my response to the Twilight haters. Here it is, verbatim - only "Harry Potter" has been substituted in place of "Twilight": Enough with the snobbery from the Harry Potter haters. The books are not "high-art" by any stretch, but what does that matter? I enjoy books from many genres & many authors. Not everything one reads has to live up to Dickens, Tolstoy & Hugo. I enjoyed all the books in the Harry Potter series for the same reason that I enjoy watching sitcoms - they're fun & light reading (er, watching, in the case of the sitcoms).
If you like it, great. If you don't like it, then there's tons of other stuff for you to read. I don't care for trashy romance novels, but I don't go online to slander them or to criticize individuals who DO like to read them. Grow up!
