Jeremy (jngrimshaw) | 4 comments Hi. I'm new, and I'm wondering if someone can help edit the info for my book.

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/78...

It was originally published as a very limited hand-sewn edition by a small independent publisher, who then made it available as a paperback via print-on-demand (Createspace). Because of this, Createspace is listed as the publisher instead of the actual publisher, Mormon Artists Group. Is there a way to change the publisher information to Mormon Artists Group?

Here's the publisher page:

http://www.mormonartistsgroup.com/Mor...

Thanks in advance.

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) I've changed it for you. :)

Jeremy (jngrimshaw) | 4 comments Bless your heart, Becky. (And your nimble fingers--6 minute turnaround!) Thanks!

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) :) You're welcome, Jeremy!

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) By the way, you can sign up for the Goodreads Author Program and you should be able to edit your own book info without becoming a librarian yourself, I believe.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Yes, true. All Goodreads author members are automatically then Goodreads librarians.

Fumijo | 83 comments There should be two editions of the book, too: one for the handsewn release, and one for the paperback release.

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Oh, I didn't know GR Authors automatically became librarians, I thought they could only edit their own book info.

Thanks for the info, Lisa! :)

Jeremy (jngrimshaw) | 4 comments I did click on "is this you," but I they haven't processed me yet. Good to know that I can fix things once they do. Once that happens I'll see about listing both editions (thought the first one was a very small, artsy-fartsy run, with no ISBN).

Thanks for the tips, everybody!

Actually, this policy has recently changed. However, they will still be able to edit their own books.

This is now true.

Just waving this around again before it gets lost in the pile of comments talking about the editing capabilities of authors. :)

We need to get another edition entered for the handmade book as it's a separate edition of the book, even if only a very limited edition. I would do it, but I don't have the info about it.

Actually, as I read her comment, they're a single edition; the distributor was listed instead of the publisher.

message 15: by Fumijo (new)

Fumijo | 83 comments There was a handmade edition, then a paperback edition from a print-on-demand publisher. That's how I read it. Seems to me that's similar to a hardcover and paperback edition.

Jeremy (jngrimshaw) | 4 comments There was a separate first edition--but it was a very, very small, numbered run that sold out (each one was hand-sewn, hand-bound, and in a hand-bound slipcase). 130 pp. Here's the full info, actually:

http://www.mormonartistsgroup.com/Mor...

And a cover picture:

http://www.mormonartistsgroup.com/Mor...

And now that my attention has been drawn to it--the publication date listed here for the paperback (November 22, 2009) should be the publication date for the first edition; the paperback came out in March 2010.

And let me say, again, that I'm new to Goodreads, and y'all have been just disarmingly helpful.

Ah, Sorry for giving out misinformation. I obviously have not kept up with all the changes.

;-) Well, I can't feel dumb now. That is a recent change.
