Casting for the movie

I really like her for Mac! I also like(and sorry if anyone said it already, I am new here ;) ) KaDee Strickland http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0834380/ . She has the whole southern charm thing going on too ;) She plays a very strong woman in Private Practice, and I think she could pull it off.
While reading them i always pictured Alexander skarsgard as Vlane..love him! I also agree that Joe manganiello would make a great Barrons

When doing a movie from this book since it takes place in Ireland, I think that the actors that are chosen should be from that area for a couple reasons. One, it is hard for alot of americans to pull off a true irish or scottish accent and I think that is crucial for this movie and two, they have the irish look and most likeyl would not be as mainstream as the american actors so their characters in this movie wont be tarnished by previous roles that they have played. I have found a couple people that I think might fit the part pretty well....what do you guys think?Katie Cassidy(as someone earlier pointed out) as MAC

Johnathan Rhys Meyers as JERICHO BARRONS

Thats all I have so far. Either way, I hope the director chooses the right people and I cant wait to see the movie when it come out!
I don't know about the chances of casting a model with little acting experiences for the movie, but I do know that David Gandy is closest to how I picture Jericho Barrons. :)
Hey Ashley, I like that choice too :) I really hope that in the end they dont pick someone too wimpy because that seems to be the trend right now....picking a wimp for a tough guy role and trying to make it work....I hope we all arent disappointed.
Oooh yeah I agree with most of the choice on here. David Gandy would be good! And Ian as the Dreamy Eyed Boy. Katie Cassidy as Mac. My choices are Kristen Bell as Mac, Jason whatshisname from Sex and the City as V'lane, and Jason Momoa as Barrons(if he wasn't rugged looking) Henry Cavill or Jared Leto as Christian.
It seems Dream works will product the film ... but is it a film with real actors or an animation movie ?
Kristen Bell for Mac? Ooo! I've never considered it, but that's a good idea to ponder on! I don't know, but for me, when it comes to bringing a book to the big screen, casting makes me tense as hell.
I REALLY hope they make this work!!!
Btw, do we have a any good suggestions for V'lane? Someone who can be way inhumanly beautiful?

Great minds...

They should pick Ian for somebody... I love him!!!

I can see Yancy Butler http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000319/ as Mac. The thing about Mac is she has to be able to dye her hair from blonde to dark and look good with both. That I think might be a problem with Yancy. I'm not sure how she'd look as a blonde.
Mac sometimes came across as a heroine for an MTV reality series. I would definitely NOT want to see that type of actress cast in that role. I'm hoping they cast someone who can overcome that tendency.

I tend to see Barrons as someone with quite gentle features. Like Henry Cavill or Ben Barnes. I think that's what would make him appear appealing, but dangerous because of it.
I've just come off an all-day marathon of "Being Human", the American version and couldn't help comparing it to Fever, because it has a similar feel. So how about these two?Barrons - Sam Witwer who currently plays as Aiden on series. Pix: http://tiny.cc/kmibv
Mac - Kristen Hager plays Nora on "Being Human" Pix: http://tiny.cc/0fhmo

Henry Cavill would be a great Jericho Barrons. Check out some of his modelling pics. When you join this forum, he is also the man in one of the collage of photos. He's standing with a woman.

Me too. When I saw his pic I immediatly thought, yes, Barrons! Totally what was in my head while I read the books. Are there any actual acters who look like that, or who can look like that with some tweeking in lighting and make up?
David is the the perfect Barrons! I can't see anyone else playing Barrons except him. As for Henry Cavill, I think he could be a great Ryodan.
Have you guys seen this video? It has David Gandy and Katie Cassidy as Barrons and Mac. I really like the cast chosen, except for leaning more to Ian Somerhalder as the Dreamy Eyed Boy. I like the song in the video too.http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=...
It's one of the best fan videos I've seen so far. It's very well done, and I love the cast chosen, too.
I appreciate that I'm in the minority but I can't see David Gandy as Barrons at all. I see Barrons as having softer features, and being all the more dangerous because of it.
Hi Rosie, I like your theory on Barrons but couldn't really see your picks(from an earlier message) as him until I found this picture of Henry. He might could pull it off.
Ha, I know right? I think it's from a photo shoot with LA Confidential magazine in 2008.http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/10/...
Def. my idea of Barrons. When I read the book, I saw a vulnerability in him - maybe there was none and it was just what I wanted to see, but it made me imagine him as looking pretty young, with almost gentle features. Handsome, rugged, yet boyish.
No, I think you are right about the vulnerability. Maybe that's why he was so angry and uptight around Mac, bc he was vulnerable and he didn't want her to see it or maybe she brought it out in him. I need to reread the fever books bc I have forgotten so much already. Like, why do you think he reacted the way he did when Mac got him the bday cake? I assumed it was bc what that meant = love/friendship/feelings but what do you think? Do you think it has something to do with his vulnerable side?
I think it was because he never wanted to become emotionally involved with anyone, or to succumb to basically human weaknesses and needs. Maybe because he was afraid that any hint of those things would affect his judgement and his ability to do the job in hand.
I agree. I think the first time I read the book I didn't really get why he did that but after reading it a second time, I understood.
No ones posted in forever, but I had to find somewhere I could put in who would play Barrons, Jason momoa. V'lane needs to be hot but sarcastic and cocky someone like Ryan Reynolds. And Britt Robertson could make a good Mac.
I would say that Jason Momoa would be a good Barrons. The others seem too civilized to me ahahaha. I could see Scarlet Johansson as Mac...she can do both parts Barbie mac and Badass mac. Good actress for the role I think.
I know there won't be a movie anymore but if the movie/ show rights are bought again, I think Eliza Taylor would be a great Mac. She's a gorgeous blonde and would probably be just as stunning as a brunette. She can play the Barbie and the bad ass role. She's also the right age to be Mac, 24.
Just heard about this and it made me think of this group http://www.heatworld.com/2015/02/davi...
I am SO pleased he turned it down (I'm not a fan of reader of 50 shades but thats not what this is about), because if he had become 'Christian Grey' it could have ruined things a little for him being Barrons. I dont mean in a movie, I just mean in our heads, like...we'd be seeing his face everywhere and it would have ruined the illusion for me!
*goes off into dream world about him being cast as Barrons*
Although...if he WAS offered the role, does that mean he can act? (not that this means anything, lots of people get offered roles and cant act!) But it makes me wonder if he potentially COULD be Barrons if we ever did get a movie or tv series.
Anyway, this is such a ramble!

Joe Manganiello
I know he's already Alcide, ..."
I agree!
