J Bug,I finished A Certain Slant of Light today... I wasn't sure what to expect with it, but I did end up enjoying it quite a lot. It's not one I had ever heard of before, so I thank you for introducing me to it!
I finished my reading choice, The Hunger Games, today. Just wow about that book.
Hey Jen I'm glad you liked it. I just thought it was a unique love story. I also really like my romance on the tragic side, so it worked for me. You've still got some great reads ahead of you this month with Lover Mine and The Hunger Games. Yay!
Hey Harper thanks for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo rec, really enjoyed it and gave it 4 stars. It was a little dull in the beginning but made up for that in the end :)
I'm having a real knightmare this month. I don't want to read anything (except Twilight), I keep changing my mind on what to read - but I'm going to try and make it though Pleasure Unbound and save The Vampire Queen's Servant for another time.
Nairabell,Touching base to tell ya, I have finished my rec book ~ Touch the Dark by Karen Chance ~ Gosh! I don't know, but this has been one "dry" book for me. I struggled through the entire book, I just could not get my mind around it, into it. I'm definately not writing off this series, but will probably get back to it when I'm in a better mindset and much, much later (too much personal stuff this month). I still want to read my 2nd rec from you A Quick Bite but maybe not this month. Cheers!!
I hope things get better for you, Cher! It's best to put a book aside when you're not in the mood for it. Reading shouldn't be a punishment ^.^

I finished Shiver last night and I absolutely loved it. I wasn't sure how much I was going to like it when I started it but it's one of the best Young Adult books I've read in a while. Hey Morgan! I finished up Blazing Bedtime Stories, Volume IV: Cupid's Bite\I Wish He Might... today! It was two short stories that were both a nice quick 'palate cleanser' between some of my other reads this month :) I will have to pick up a few more from the blaze line. I can see why you enjoy them so much, nice, quick, hot, feel good stories :) Thanks for the rec!

Hey Jim, I just finished Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal. I liked this one enough, the beginning more so than the end. All things considered, it wasn't my favorite read ever, but I still enjoyed it. Thanks for the recommendation!

It is amusing enough as it is. I liked it enough to recommend it. I thought that overall, it had some funny moments and gives a different irreverent POV. It's still a 4/5 star read for me.
Carolyn F, I finished Dead Until Dark. I gave it about 3.5 stars, it was pretty okay. I felt it was really simplistic, but it did get a little better. Thanks for the recommendation!
Ari, the Sookie Stackhouse series gets MUCH better after the second book :)

I'm a little over half way through Daughter of the Blood and so far I'm loving it. I found it a little confusing at first but once I started to understand how things worked and who people were I was ok. I was actually 15 minutes late for work today because I didn't want to put it down and get ready :)
I'll probably finish it tomorrow so I'll let you know what I thought then.

Regina, I just finished If Angels Burn & all I've got to say is I'm glad I read the 1st book 5th or I probably wouldn't have given this series a second chance. Thank you very much for the rec though. I've been procrastinating about reading IAB & needed to get it out of the way.

I finished it this morning. I tried to finish it last night but fell asleep with less than 100 pages left! :( It was a little slow going for the first third, not because there wasn't enough going on, but because I had to go back and remind myself who people were, where that place was, etc. Once I got past that, it was great. There were some characters and things I'd hoped the writer would go more in depth into, so I'm hoping that'll come in the next books which I will definitely read. Thanks for the recommendation!

Life interrupted things this month. I had to go out of town this week for work and it's blown things out of the water. I'm halfway through Pleasure Unbound, I'm gonna try and finish it!!! I haven't given up yet.

But I`m glad that I insist in the reading of the other books, because they are great!
I just finished If You Dare
and liked it. The first part was really slow - didn´t like Anna and the action very much. But it gets better in the second part and now I`m curious about the other brothers! Thanks for the rec.

It's no problem Rossy! Thanks for adding me to the list.I'm glad you liked my rec, Regina. The second in the series is so-so but the best of the bunch is If You Deceive imo. Btw, I hated Alex too. I hated her before I read IAB & while now I feel a little more sympathetic towards her now knowing her background, I still think she's a stuck-up biatch.
Finally finished Pleasure Unbound, thankyou for the recommendation Chichimo. It was good, I'm not running out to buy the next one though - Eidolon was hot but I think I've read too many of this kind of book lately. I will scream if I hear the words savour, suckle, her core, her bud etc (you get where I'm coming from). It's almost as though some of these authors have a shared dictionary and do not like to deviate from it.I'll come back to the series at some point I'm sure.
LOL! Perhaps you should try the drinking game with this series!
I finished Any Way You Want It a few weeks ago, but life has been such a whirl-wind, I never found time to post about it.The setting was good. The characters were interesting. Why can't males, human or vampire, be more up front with a girl?
A good read.
I'm totally late, but I just finished my second recommendation for May. It wasn't easy to find time to read during our move, but I managed to read The Hunger Games in the last few days and I thought it was just amazing! Here is my review, for anyone who is interested!
