Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments I like vague, just not too obscure
Santa Sangre for example is pretty obscure, Phil ;)

In 1944 Europe, the bookish young girl escapes into an eerie but captivating fantasy world.

Michael (mikedecshop) | 1479 comments Pans Labrynth?

message 253: by Phil (last edited Dec 10, 2010 07:32AM) (new)

Phil (philhappy) | 142 comments Aw, I don't think Santa Sangre is obscure.

Bandit's is Pan's Labyrinth?

Michael just got in there before me :P

message 254: by Bandit (last edited Dec 10, 2010 07:36AM) (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments totally is obscure, hence I feel so accomplished for getting it right :)

yes, you got it guys

message 255: by Michael (new)

Michael (mikedecshop) | 1479 comments Woman has a strict rule that all doors to rooms must be locked upon entering and exiting.

message 256: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments The Others?

message 257: by Michael (new)

Michael (mikedecshop) | 1479 comments Yes

message 258: by Bandit (last edited Dec 10, 2010 07:45AM) (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments I love The Others.

A psychotic murderer institutionalized since childhood escapes and goes on a killing rampage.

message 259: by Phil (new)

Phil (philhappy) | 142 comments Well that's vague Bandit! :P most likely Halloween though?

message 260: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments I work my butt off to make them sufficiently vague lol

yeah, you got it, Phil

message 261: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) | 797 comments Was mine a little too obscure that no one even attempted it?? :o(

message 262: by Phil (new)

Phil (philhappy) | 142 comments Sharon wrote: "the warrior survives a near-death experience, becomes an assassin-for-hire, and tries to protect her two latest targets, a single father and his young daughter, from a group of supernatural assassins."

Oh yeh, This is Sharon's one. I've actually no idea.

message 263: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments Sorry, Sharon, I somehow completely missed yours
nothing is too obscure for the great Bandit :)

is it Elektra?

message 264: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) | 797 comments You are right Bandit :o)

message 265: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments I think it's Phil's turn now, cause that was slightly out of order...Phil?

message 266: by Michael (new)

Michael (mikedecshop) | 1479 comments Good job Bandit. I gave up and I had 3 friends working on that one.

message 267: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) | 797 comments Cool, I must be better then I thought!

message 268: by Tressa (last edited Dec 10, 2010 08:24AM) (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Posting a challenging plot is one thing, but a description like "homicidal maniac goes on a rampage" is what I mean by vague. There are so many maniac and detective movies out there with similar plots. Oh, and don't give away an ending in your plot.

message 269: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments My description said "institutionalized since childhood", I thought it was a pretty good hint. A Lot of homicidal maniacs go unchecked.

message 270: by Michael (new)

Michael (mikedecshop) | 1479 comments I only had friends working on Sharon's.

message 271: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Of course, Bandit. Wasn't singling you out, just throwing it out there.

message 272: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments I dedicate this one to Tressa, specifics and all :)

In the not so distant future (precisely the year 2035) a techno-phobic cop investigates a crime that may have been perpetrated by a robot.

message 273: by Phil (new)

Phil (philhappy) | 142 comments Yeh no spoilers please.

Ok how about this one: homicidal maniac goes on a rampage.

Only kidding :P

1970's British movie about a group of children that find a claw, start up a witches coven and then begin to grow and harvest "Satan's Skin" on their bodies.

message 274: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments lol @ Phil

Blood on (or of) Satan's Claw?

message 275: by Phil (last edited Dec 10, 2010 08:39AM) (new)

Phil (philhappy) | 142 comments Yup, Blood on Satan's claw. I even managed to get the words Satan and Claw into the question.

I'm gonna let Tressa guess your one.

message 276: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I, Robot.

An attractive successful publisher finds his life taking a turn for the surreal after a car accident with a jaded lover.

message 277: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments That would be that inferior, but decent remake Vanilla Sky

message 278: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments Disfigured genius becomes obsessed with a young protege and will stop at nothing to have her.

I feel like any less vague and it'll be too obvious, but hint...there has been great many adaptations of this story.

message 279: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I loved Vanilla Sky! But I love Tom Cruise...don't beat me. *whimper*

Phantom of the Opera

message 280: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Two angst-ridden, snarky girls are social outsiders who, after graduating from high school, play a mean prank on a middle-aged geek. (2001)

I adore this movie.

message 281: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments Ghost World?

Have you see Abre los Ojos, Tressa? the original Vanilla Sky, it's very good
no judgment/beating on Tom Cruise loving, he's very entertaining, though I'd like him better without the whole Scientology thing

message 282: by Phil (new)

Phil (philhappy) | 142 comments Ghostworld. Haven't seen that movie in years. Since it's 2001 I guess that's exactly nine years.

message 283: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments A Boy with an unusual ability gets help from a child psychologist.

this is a classic, folks, shot right here in Philadelphia

message 284: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments No, I haven't seen the original Vanilla Sky. It's a confusing plot, so I just assumed that if I had the plot on top of the subtitles, I'd be lost.

I love Ghost World the movie; I love Ghost World the graphic novel even more.

message 285: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Sixth Sense

Deeply immersed in the Edinburgh drug scene, a man tries to clean up and get out, despite the allure of the drugs and influence of friends.

message 286: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments Check it out, if you ever get a chance, now that you know the plot, subtitles shouldn't be too much of a distraction and it's really good

message 287: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments You're right. Now I understand the plot I'm sure I'd be able to watch and read at the same time. I think what kept me away from watching Open Your Eyes was I don't really like Penelope Cruz. I hated the way she acted like a moppet in VS. She really annoyed me.

message 288: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments I find that she is much much better an actress when she can speak her native language, I actually think the strain of speaking english affects her acting negatively, though less so now. In spanish films she radiates, especially when directed by Almodovar.

Trainspotting?

message 289: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Yes, Trainspotting.

I guess I should give her another chance by watching one of her native language movies. I just can't stand when women act like she did in VS. Don't ask me to explain it. She sure is lucky to be shacking up with Anton Chigurh.

message 290: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments funny, I think he's the lucky one...that dude is talented and all, but SO weird looking

After a serious car accident, a TV director discovers an underground sub-culture of scarred, omnisexual...er...perverts?

Lori | 1318 comments Crash?

message 292: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Oh, yeah. I remember Crash now. Never saw it just remember that it got panned.

message 293: by Lori (new)

Lori | 1318 comments I actually have it on my Netflix to watch. It definitely intrigues me.

message 294: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments You got it...of course, no offense was meant to any "car lovers" out there

go Lori

message 295: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Don't knock sex with a car.

message 296: by Lori (new)

Lori | 1318 comments woohoo! :o)

Psychiatrist tries to prevent one of his patients from committing suicide while trying to maintain his own grip on reality.

message 297: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments knock it? me...knock sex with a car? why, I'd never :0

Stay?

message 298: by Lori (new)

Lori | 1318 comments Nicely done! :o) I <3 that movie.
