Posting a challenging plot is one thing, but a description like "homicidal maniac goes on a rampage" is what I mean by vague. There are so many maniac and detective movies out there with similar plots. Oh, and don't give away an ending in your plot.
My description said "institutionalized since childhood", I thought it was a pretty good hint. A Lot of homicidal maniacs go unchecked.

No, I haven't seen the original Vanilla Sky. It's a confusing plot, so I just assumed that if I had the plot on top of the subtitles, I'd be lost.I love Ghost World the movie; I love Ghost World the graphic novel even more.

You're right. Now I understand the plot I'm sure I'd be able to watch and read at the same time. I think what kept me away from watching Open Your Eyes was I don't really like Penelope Cruz. I hated the way she acted like a moppet in VS. She really annoyed me.
I find that she is much much better an actress when she can speak her native language, I actually think the strain of speaking english affects her acting negatively, though less so now. In spanish films she radiates, especially when directed by Almodovar.Trainspotting?
