Well, I have to admit, it wasn't too bad. My teachers seemed to be good for the most part, and that's always important. I have a couple of friends in almost each of my classes, and I got into dance, which I really wanted. Overall, I'd give my first date one and half thumbs up.

Mine isn't. Mine prefers sports, which is stupid cause our football team sucks... But really ours is about band. You wanna be in a wining band, you go to ours. And forensics is our best kept secret....

I'm really big op theatre, like REALLY BIG on theatre, and my school is known as the "deaf" campus because we are the only school on Texas that mixes deaf people with hearing people. I'm even learning ASL and can talk to deaf people in short sentences. I have a deaf girl in my PE class and we sometimes talk to each other. It's so cool!

@Emi Yeah, my school is sorta into band. We're pretty good, but not fantastic or anything. Our football team is a big deal, but so is our basketball.

@Oncie That's really cool! I wish I could learn ASL. Right now i only the alphabet and random word like apple and giraffe.

Haha, yeah. There was a deaf girl at the daycare I went to when I was little, so I learned some there. I've forgotten a lot of it, but still know some.

We have classes at my school, because the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind (I believe that's what it's called) is close-ish to my school.

I LIVE theatre too! I have Theatre 2 next semester, but sadly none of my friends are in it

Ooh same here. Our fall production is A Christmas Story, and I'm really excited! I'm going to audition for sure.

Dance class? That's cool! Although I dance kinda like Matt Smith. Basically drunk giraffe. So I don't dance at all. Ever. Anyways. I love theatre too! I do the costumes for our musical and plays and stuff!
My school also focuses on sports which is stupid because we're an academic school really. Our football team stinks, but we have a good cross country team (which I am on btw), track team, and most of all, boys basketball. They got second at state last year!!
Debate and forensics are huge teams, regularly go to state but never really get much recognition

Oh that's cool, cross country? I'm playing slow pitch softball right now, but am better at fast pitch. I was in the Varsity team last year and am crossing my fingers for this year. I really can't run. Running is just too much for me. I'm not fast and get cramps easily. :P

We're not allowed to know what are plays are gonna be... Yeah Forensics gets little recognition, but we always have people going to nationals. Last year, I did a piece for the first time and went to state with it, so it's safe to say I don't suck at it...

Haha, that's only because you don't run enough! We had our first meet today. 90 degrees. But in this case, we refer to it as being ONLY 90. Because this race is usually over 100. It's brutal but we did it! Most if not all of our newbies ran the whole way and didn't walk at all! I walked my freshman year. But it was 105 so….

Well there's no need to keep you in the dark for that. That's called the way theatre works. And besides, the director would know if your monologue was from the show during auditions so he/she could easily throw those out of consideration. I can't imagine someone choosing a monologue from the same show… wouldn't you want them to know the show then, so they wouldn't choose one from it by accident?
