Hey according to you all Who is the best companion of the Doctor?
Depends whether you're just going with the new series or if you're including the old series. I have many favourites from the old series, such as Jamie McCrimmon, Sarah Jane Smith, Leela and Romana II. In the new series I liked Martha, and although I didn't like her much at first, I ended up liking Donna quite a bit. I also like River, although I don't know if she's a companion in the commonly understood Doctor Who use of the term.
I haven't seen the classic Who yet, but I'm waiting and catching up to the 50th first. I'm on Victor and the Doctor. No, Vincent and the Doctor. Yep. So, if I had to chose a companion, I would have to say Rose Tyler. She just had such a big heart. Martha was eh, in my opinion, Donna was a bit better than Martha. Definitely more amusing...I'm not liking Amy that much right now, but I hear she grows on ya, so. *shrug*
Thanks for your replies and I too haven't watched the classic series yet. Am still in Season 3 with David Tennant as the Doctor....I cried a lot when Rose parted with the Doctor and then Martha came along.I like Martha too.
Rose and Rory are hands down my favorites, but I love everybody… except Peri and whatever her name was that came right after Peri. I loved Adric and Romana :)
Mel came after Peri. Yeah, she was a bit one dimensional.
Perpigillium Brown, Peri for short. She joined Doctor Who in Planet of Fire, the story before Peter Davidson regenerated into Colin Baker.
Probably an older companion, cause I don't have any idea either. :)

I didn't mind Peri. I think it was unfortunate that most of the stories she was there for were not good ones. She got some terrible lines!

Oh my gosh!!!!! My math teacher has a Tardis in his classroom and I almost died when I saw it! It was the most magical moment of my life :)
